The hotel is within the Saint Charlies Train Station complex. Very convenient to get around Marseille with the public transportation (train, metro, bus) just a few minutes away. The hotel is within walking distance to the harbor. The room was clean and the room was enough space for a budget hotel. There is a paid parking space available. It was a little bit hard to find the hotel entrance because the sign is not very visible. We went around the St Charles Train Station block a couple of times before we found the IBIS sign board which entrance from the Rental Cars complex.

Perfect Location”
Ibis St. Charles is a hotel perfectly located especially for travelers arriving on one of the numerous high speed trains (TGV) in Marseille from the direction of London/Paris/Lyon, Frankfurt or Madrid/Barcelona. It belongs to the IBIS chain and then you know already what the standard to expect. But I was surprised about the new bedding which was very comfortable and just perfect, much better than it used to be in the past. Now I am looking only forward for more fluffier towels, then I would give Ibis already 4****

Less than the usual standard Ibis”
Location is very convinient if you need Saint Charles station in your trip, 2 minutes walk to the station. The room is compact, standard Ibis. Breakfast is okay, nothing special. Bathroom is tiny. AC and heating is not working. In-room telephone is not working. Parking is limited to 6 cars max. If you need parking, I'd suggest you book and reserve before arrival. Parking garages in the station are expensive.

I stayed in Marseille for two nights after a trip to Avignon and before taking the flight back to London. This hotel is very convenient location-wise as it is just next to the train station and airport shuttle is nearby.

it's the i is that i always stayed and everything is as expected . one little reminder is that if you ask for late check out don't expect that it's free ( even i'm a gold member) i asked for a late check out and the staff didn't mention it on spot and i only found it out during my check out.

It is within minutes of walk to train station. But the hotel is outdated. The room is small and I couldn't remember any other thing special. The room wasn't comfortable. The staff were ok.
