Great hotel near city center!”

I-House is a great option in Chiang Rai. It's not in the main city center, but it's less than a 10 minute walk to downtown (night bazaar). There are some restaurants within a few minutes walk down the main road though. The clock tower is nearby, so you have an attraction really close. The clock tower also has a musical show that it does at nighttime. The hotel had a great breakfast. The room was large, clean, and had some simple design touches. We did have ants in our room interested in our food - that we tried to keep sealed - I would just recommend to keep absolutely NO food in the room. The front desk didn't speak a lot of english, but everybody was very nice. It seems like a hang out for the rest of friends and family, though not everybody worked there, everybody was very kind and always was smiling. We really enjoyed I-house and would recommend it to anybody!

good quality budget hotel in a convenient location”

This was a very relaxing place to stay. I stayed in a ground floor room so it stayed really cool even on 40 degree days, and the airconditioner was very effective while I was in the room & At night for sleeping. The location is very quiet, but it is a two block walk to the clocktower and another block or two gets you to the hub of the city and the night bazaar. It is possible to walk to Central Plaza and Big C if you are fit but otherwise best to take a tuk tuk or taxi. I highly recommend the I-House as a base of operations in Chiang Rai, it was very cheap (booking on the internet) the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and had everything you'd need, breakfast was included and was basic fare but nice, and there is plenty to see and do close by. The reception staff were very friendly, with only occasional language difficulties

A nice guesthouse I've stay.”

I love I House. Clean, friendly, good price and good location. I can walk to night bazar and clock tower, I can also walk round temple. Staff very friendly to show you the way with copy map. Room large, comfortable, bathroom clean, good disign, good price. I will stay at I House if I travel at Chiang Rai again.

Very happy and comfortable, awesome beds!”

We found choosing accommodation in Chiang Rai to be fairly hard. Properties were either too basic or too high end for us. We need something right in the middle. Simple, comfortable, a desk preferably and a wifi connection. A lot of research on TripAdvisor and Agoda, and we found a winner – i-House Chiangrai. We paid around $ AUD per night at i-House Chiangrai. To be honest, we were expecting a lot less than what we got. Our room had been either newly built or had just been redecorated. It was all minimalist with a dark wood counter that pretty much ran all the way down one side of the room. The twin beds were very comfortable. The bedding was very clean and soft. Made me miss home to be honest. Air-conditioning worked well. The cable TV had quite a few English channels, and most importantly for us, the wifi internet signal was both strong and fast. The shower was certainly a highlight in the fancy bathroom. They even gave us liquid soap and shampoo to use. Winners! Probably one of the most interesting things about the stay at i-House Chiangrai was that we got given whatever breakfast they decided to cook for us on that day. This is good and bad depending on how you look at it. The first morning was two pieces of toast and jam. On the second and third day we had chicken rice soup. It was really tasty. However, I am sure that other foreigners may not appreciate the Asian Breakfast. i-House Chiangrai was a great place to stay. Especially for the price. A bit of a walk to the Chiang Rai action but enjoyable anyhow.

Clean, modern hotel with great coffee shop on site”

This hotel is in a central location, about 4 blocks from the Chiang Rai day market and maybe 8 blocks from the night market. Even though this hotel is in a central location, it is on a relatively quiet and tranquil side street, which is nice as the main streets can be very busy with traffic. Another bonus of staying here is that right across the street is an Aeon ATM machine, which does not charge the 150 Baht service fee that all other Thai banks charge. I also love the coffee shop that is on the hotel premises. They make wonderful lattes and cappuccinos. There is a nice outdoor patio that is shaded and has a little fishpond. I highly recommend this hotel. The only drawback to this hotel is that the breakfast is very basic and is serve yourself. I always went down the street or over to the night market area to get breakfast.

Nice Hotel, easy to go to Chieng Rai Night Bazaar”

i-house is the small hotel with well decorated and perfect room. it is not far from chieng rai night bazaar. you can walk from the hotel to the most beautiful clock tower and then night bazaar. i am very impressed with the chieng rai clock tower that will be the light demonstration at 19.00 / 20.00 in week days and additional 21.00 in weekend. if i go to chieng rai, i will stay at this hotel again.

Nice locationa and friendly service”

The location is good. It's right in the center of Chiang Rai. The room is big and nicely decorated. The restroom is quite OK. However, there's no separation between the wet and dry areas, so the floor tends to be wet after taking shower. Another not too good point is that the hotel doesn't provide adequate parking space.

Clean and tidy hotel”

Chiang Rai is a small city, the hotel is not too far to the local market. The room is big enough and really clean and tidy, it provide all the things that you need. Staff cannot speak English very well, but it's enough for basic communication. Really good hotel for budget traveler.

see my previous review, this time it fell short”

this is a good place to stay and reasonably priced, however on this stay the room cleaning left a little to be desired, there was a large stain on the bedhead which didn't look too nice. Otherwise all my comments from my previous stay apply, close to the centre of Chiang Rai, plenty of Wats close by, good restaurants, cafes and bars abound within a short walk. Assuming the stain goes away, I'll be back.

Nice service and great location”

friendly reception and could speak little english - we were late checking out and they didn't charge us for extra. the room is simple with basic furniture and also free wireless internet, which is a plus. the location is very close to the saturday night bazaar and clock tower (landmark of chiang rai). we rented a motorbike via the hotel and paid about baht per day, which i think it's very reasonable. also, there is a laundry facility and it is only 20 baht per load. breakfast was so so ( soup with rice) - the hotel is very close to many local food stall, which you can find many delicious food with super cheap price.

nice place and very helpful service”

get to hotel late, and that recepicient can not speak english, but nice to provide the service we needed. althogh only western breakfast serviced, but nice, and teast good. the holder of the hotel can speak english well and helpful. help us to get taxi go to the white temple（wat rong khun ）. since we need to go to chiangmai, but not sure if we can buy the ticket as it is saturday.the owner help to give some calls and get us to the bus station by his motorbike when the call is not avalible. a very nice person to give his help in patience it is highly recommended to live in this hotel if you go to chiangrai.

was a great hotel, everything about the room was clean and to my liking. too bad i stayed here on the last day before i left chiang rai because i would have booked a few more nights.

Great hotel.”

A very nice hotel. Location is quite good - a short walk to the centre of Chiang Rai. The room was very large and very clean and actually quite trendy. The shower room was also very good. The breakfast wasn't much really but that didn't matter too much. I enjoyed my stay here and would certainly stay here again. One minor criticism was that they don't have a chair in the room so you have to always sit on the bed. There is plenty of room to have a couple of chairs and maybe a little table.

Quite hotel with spacious room”

I stayed 2 nights at I-House Chiangrai and was happy to see the room rather spacious with LCD TV and mini fridge. The interior looks rather new. There are a few stalls and economy food restaurants 5 minutes walk from the hotel. You can also rent a bike from ST Motorcycle Rental which is near the clock tower or through the hotel reception.

Good location”

We chose I-House because its near to night market and low rates. We drove from Chiangmai and this hotel provides car-park too. We walk to Night market, passing the clock tower and local eateries. Chiangrai is good transit point for trips outside of city. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly too. Will come back again.

good city hotel”

The hotel is quiet and in walking distance to the city. The rooms are comfortable, clean and big enough. There are no facilities, to stay and spend the day there, but best suitable to sleep and to explore the city and surrounding of Chiang Rai. The breakfast place has only limited capacity.

Friendly staff”

I stayed at his hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed my time there. This hotel is less than 1 km from the clock tower in the middle of town and close to the markets and a variety of temples. Endless places to eat from close to the hotel, ranging from street carts selling fresh fruit, noodle soups curries and delicious Thai sweets. Hotel seems new and is very clean with friendly staff. Would stay there again when back in Chiang Rai.

Wonderful”

Great hotel in chiang rai. Near a market, and so many cafe. But not to close to airport and bus station. The staff was kind and helpfull, but sometimes, the wifi didnt work, even after they restart it

A great place to stay in quiet city”

The building is quite new. Room is definitely very clean and spacious. I would love to stay there again in the future if I visit Chiang Rai.
