Business Traveler Friendly ”

I am a business traveler. Working in the field of medical supplies always keeps me away from home. Even in a pandemic situation, I'm still traveled north and east coast to meet the demands of work. So I want to stay in a hotel that can offer the comfort of a house. That is why I choose One-Bedroom Suite at Hutton Central Hotel By PHC. A hotel that for me meets the needs as a business traveler. Reasonable price - Check Good Hotel Location - Check Internet access - Check Comfortable like home - Check Featured with a washing machine and dryer - Double Check Parking- Hurmm..this is just a hassle for every guest. The location of hotels which is in the middle of the city of penang is a reason in the difficulty of having a secure car park. Overall this hotel is great choice for travelers like me, who care about comfort and cleanliness even to come and go.

Family holiday hotel”

Glad found this hotel via an offer in Agoda. Excellent hotel for family 3 of us. The family suite is clean and spacious exactly we wanted for a travelling stay. The room is big exactly shown in the pictures. The hotel is located just next row of Jalan Penang, and 400 meter walking distance to CAT free bus, 800 meter walking distance to komtar bus station. Excellent location. However, the drawbacks are: 1. hotel having 2 tvs in the room but only having local channels. No Astro or not even movie channel. PCH have to understand that local channels such as TV1, TV2 and TV3 and others are not for Malaysian viewers. These channels are nothing to watch 2. Room is not suitable for travellers need good sleep at night. Room can hear people talking from downstairs and cars passing by. Due to the above, Hutton Central II is suitable for family short stay like us. Reasonable price and sleep is not our major concern.

Can't sleep until 2am!”

The cons of this hotel is there is a bar/lounge just below our room. We were there for 2 nights and both nights we can only sleep after 2am. The karaoke thing is too loud. We complaint to the front desk but nothing they can do. Second problem is we would like to check out late til 6pm since our flight at night. They couldn't allow and asked us to book through agoda again. so we did and pay for full 1 night just to check out at 6pm. The tv station provided also the basic free tv service. No cable tv or netflix. Since the hotel located in the middle of Georgetown it was conveniently for us to walk to the surrounding area by walking. The famous Roti Canai Transfer Road(not that nice) located about 50m from the hotel. The delicious Hokkien Mee at Bee Hwa Cafe around 300m from our hotel, Chowrasta market, Jeruk Pak Ali Shop, Roti Bakar Hutton Lane (Better roti bakar than the one at transfer road), Moh Teng Nyonya Cake all by walking distance. The staffs were helpful and friendly!

A Lovely Stay”

We had a great time staying at Hutton Central II Hotel. We loved the design and layout of the place - converting an old heritage shoplot to this. Kitchenette was well equipped. It came with a washing machine and the bathroom is good sized too. My unit came with a King Size bed in the bedroom, and a double bed sized "sofa bed". Do check if the blankets and pillows are in the sofa bed compartment when you check in. I only realized the missing blanket and sheets when I was preparing the bed at night. Good thing the front desk were readily available and got them in 10mins... the staffs were professional and pleasant too. The only con about this hotel is the karaoke joint on the ground floor. While they have installed an additional layer of glass door to seal off the noise at the entrance, you can still hear the singing and traffic on the main road. But my old-folk parents were not affected so that's good. Oh, we had a tough time managing the water temperature - it's constantly HOT!

Perfect location if you wanna enjoy the convenience of walking the rich heritage of Georgetown. Bus stop is just 50m away- easy to move around. Not forgetting the mini mart just in the same building. Very friendly staff, very responsive! Kudos to Hutton central hotel 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Clean self-contained apartment with spacious bedroom”

We had a graet stay at Hutton Central. The apartment had stairs to walk up to. It was fully self-contained, meant it had washing machine, cooking appliances for light cooking. Even a nice balcony to hang out. Bedroom was spacious, living room was very comfortable. Downside is only they dont have their own parking space, so you'll need to find public parking. Walkable to Penang Road, which is awesome! Will be coming back again. Thanks!

great value of money! ”

The family suite quite spacious even the balcony are huge! Hotel locations are quiet strategic. The facilities are great. The only downsize is there is no parking area but you can park at the public parking beside the hotel. Will stay at hutton central again if i come to penang next time

Perfect Hotel”

Hutton looks like a studio apartment with one bedroom, kitchen, living room and big bathroom. It looks nice and very new. Staff is so helpful. This hotel is not so far from the centre, it takes about 15’ walking to Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi. I will come back if travel to Penang.

RM 200 for deposit( compulsory). Luckily the facilities was not bad.”

This is my second time stay with PHC. 1st was with Bahari Parade. The facilities was complete with kitchen utensils,microwave and also washing machine. One night only not enough. The staff will hold the room for you until you give them RM 200 for deposit. Parking kinda tough if got lucky then ok no problem. Will come back and try another PHC hotel.

Best stay ever”

We didn't expect to get the whole floor! With only RM153, we thought it was only a room with one queen and king bed. As we went upstairs, we saw a mini living room and also a kitchen plus a balcony! What an amazing price!!! Thank you PHC. Surely we'll stay at your hotel again in future.

Comfort and affordable price”

Staying at all PHC hotels is much worth compare to other nearby hotels. The whole room was too large and too comfort to stay. Friendly staff's. Highly recommended to stay here.

Check out is too slow and housekeeping should do a better job”

Stay was good. Location is good,can get to places nearby Georgetown within minutes. Only issue is that upon check out, the housekeeping could not find the tv remote in the room and inform front desk and front desk went up to check still could not find it-had to take out all my things from my begs(3 bags) thinking had mistakenly took the tv remote but could not find it-went up to look for myself and found the tv remote was between the bed and the side table. Just have to push the bed a little and the remote ill fall. Wasted around 25 minutes there waiting!! Housekeeping should done a better job searching not by just pulling the bed sheet and didn't realize the remote fell in between.

Great location”

It was a little hard to find at first as there is another Hutton Suites 200 metres up the road from it. Front door opens onto the road, the unit was on the first floor accessed by a small staircase. It is located about 5o metres from a Nasi Kander place. Foo is excellent and cheaper that my favourite Nasi Kander place, “Line Clear” which is a little further up the road. The bedroom is seperate, with a washer dryer and a kitchenette and a full size fridge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is no option for meals which is not an issue and there’s limited English TV channels which is not a real problem either. All over, Great value for money. Will definitely be staying here again.

Fairly priced and clean accommodation”

Pros:- 1.Spacious apartment with good amenities including induction cooker , washing machine 2. Fairly priced accommodation. 3.good location nearby famous eateries like Hameediyah , line clear , roti bakar Hutton Lane and Chowrasta. Cons- 1.no designated parking but you can parked in parking bays on the streetside.

Arrangement poor”

I book two king bed room at Hutton Central II Hotel, when I check in they told me Hutton Central II Hotel only available one room. They give me option is they can shift me to Macallum Central Hotel for one apartment, inside apartment have one king bed and one queen bed. Or they separate me and my friend to two different hotel. We are happy group go for travel but they separate us to different hotel.

Home away from home. Love it!”

Having a great experience of living in the heart of Georgetown where everything is so near, all within walking distance, especially to all the eateries and malls. The unit is so clean and all the amenities thought through. It may be a hotel but it was made into a home-feel setting. Ideal for family and group vacationers who are staying longer as they have wash/dryer washing machine (comes with detergent too), fridge and well furnished kitchen. Kudos to the management for a well maintained and well furnished unit not to mention friendly staff too. Will definitely come back again.

Spacious and close to local amenities”

Upon arrival, the apartment was renovated to a high standard and the check in process was very easy. The apartment was in a good location, close to lots of local amenities, places to eat and only a short walk or grab away from many tourist spots. The room was very spacious and layout was really nice. What we didn't like was the noise produced from the karaoke bar downstairs, if you're looking for a quiet place to relax after a long day of sightseeing in Penang, this is not the place. The room looked clean in general but there were some areas which could be improved, the bathroom had areas of mould around the shower facilities and there was hair on the linens too. This apartment was only accessible if you are able to use stairs.

Great location, clean and spacious room, and friendly staff”

Great location- easy to locate, close by to most of the places we wanted to go. A famous roti canai stall just stone throw away from hotel which is a plus point. Clean room- the room is spacious, seems new and very clean which is most important. Front staff (John)- was really friendly and welcoming. We appreciate that service and warmth. Thank you for eveything. The only downside is that the noise from the bar at the first floor (which doesnt belong to hotel) can get quite loud in the night. Do request for a (quieter) room furthest away from the bar!
