Good location and classic house”

Noi and her mother were amazing and hospitable hosts. They gave us many wonderful recommendations for places to see and go. The breakfasts are exceptional homemade northern thai dishes - Noi is a brilliant cook! Their house is gorgeous - a family built traditional thai style wooden house - perfect for romantic getaways and anyone wanting an authentic and beautiful accomodation experience in Chiang Rai. We intend to return and stay with Noi next time we visit, and recommend Huan Kawin to anyone visiting Chiang Rai. Super good value, but comes recommended regardless of budget or reason for visiting.

Great guesthouse ”

The guesthouse is very well located in Chiang Rai, close to the night market and bus station and not far from city center. Everything in the city is in walking distance. You can rent a motorbike directly from the hostel to go to the less central sites (white temple, blue temple, black house, waterfall) which is very convenient (it s quite easy to drive in Chiang Rai). The room is big and clean, with air conditioner. The bathroom is shared, so might not be clean everytime depending on the other guests, but ok. Only inconvenient is that you can hear everything the other guests are doing, so bring your earplugs, otherwise it s perfect. The hosts are really kind and helpful with good advise and great service! Thank you for the 2 times laundry because of the storm. They also serve food wich we haven t tested (exept from the free breakfast, which was good) because there are so many food places nearby, but it sure smelled good. Thanks again for our stay in Chiang Rai, we really enjoyed!

Cozy old Thai wooden house”

It was one of my favorite stays in a hostel, its a Thai traditional wooden house, the dorm and toilets was very clean and well maintained, the dorm was mattresses on the floor which was very good for me, a taste of my room since I have my mattres back home on the floor, the breakfast in the morning was very good, you can choose from 4-5 dishes and they very good traditional Thai kick for starting your day, its the family house and family ( mother & daughter) rund buissnes, the mother don't speak very good english, but the daughter speak good english, and she helped me renting me a motorbike,and give many tips where to go and what to do, and allowed me to use the washing machine for free, and helped book my bus, that's was very kind !! and other thing I loved the common area with many photos hanged on the wall and since I am interested in photography it was my heaven. I totally recommend this place for people want to chill and enjoy here stay in Chiang Rai and if I am back there definitely I will choose thos place again !!

Great experience!”

Our stay at Huan Kawin was very enjoyable! The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The owners were very accommodating and very kind. The breakfast was delicious and a large portion that came with unlimited tea and coffee. Free laundry was an added bonus! Great value for your money

Nice rooms, a bit far out”

Good dorms including AC, and a reasonable breakfast, but it is a bit of a walk to the center of town. That's not really a big deal in Chiang Rai though. Would recommend!

Traditional Thai homestay”

Initially we were a bit surprised when we first arrived, the home is an retro looking wooden house. However after settling in we enjoyed our staff; the family are all lovely, the location is around 600m from central Chiang Rai, they rent motorbikes if needed and offer free laundry. The only slight negative was the beds were quite small. Overall though we would stay again.

Hospitable staff and wood house”

Somluk and her mom were very hospitable and welcoming! The house is made of wood like a typical old house in Chiang Rai, and also very comfortable to stay, it also has many places to seat and relax. The house is on a quiet street but walkable to the walking street and enjoy the dancing show on Sat evening and easy to access to other popular places too. Highly recommended!

Cute wooden house and centrally located”

I love everything about this place. Very clean and quiet. A walking diatance to the bus station where u could take bus to the attractions and also the night bazaar and clock tower. Noi is really lovely and made sure my stay was comfortable. She tried to answer all my questions and cooked me breakfast too. I would recommend this place if you drop by Chiang rai.

Lovely owners”

Perfect location, big room, good breakfast and most of all lovely owners who helped me with all my questions and even let me do my laundry there. Most definitely recommendable if you are heading to Chiang Rai!

Good location and classic house”

The room and house is nice, clean and classic. Its location is very convenient to go to the heart of the city because go to night market, bus station 600 m., go to clock tower 800 m. and go to walking street on Saturday 200 m. Walking around downtown is convenient. Breakfast is good taste. Staff is owner so can service all day and has motorcycle for rent go to White temple and Black house is 12 Km. and she call taxi and TukTuk for me all time. For go to Chiang Mai she can reserve ticket for me.

Nice Hostel, Nice Staff”

The Hostel is located 5min from the busy city Center of Chiang Rai. The staff speaks good English and is always there if you need advice.

Pro's: - clean room - delicious breakfast - price - located in the city center (near to nightmarkets, restaurants etc.) - really friendly hosts :) - you can easily rent a motorbike for only 200 Baht per day Con's: - We would always come back! :)

Charming and delightful!!!”

Showed up a little late from Chiang Mai on a scooter and they welcomed us quickly. Beautiful home and delicious breakfast we were very happy with our stay there. 15 min walk to night bazaar!!

The place is really nice, stuff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the location is near by the bus station and the city center! You have breakfast (can choose between 5 differents options), and have laundry for free! I would definitley stay again 😊

Good location”

Huan Kawin is a small hostel but more like a homestay. You live very close to the family that are very friendly but we missed having our own bathroom.

A Nice choice for a few days. ”

This is a little different from your normal hostel. They have 3 private rooms with ac. They offer a home made breakfast and prepare it for you then not hrs before. This was a very Clean and Very friendly atmosphere which you could relax from your travels. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and the Location is very good.

Beautiful house”

we just loved to stay here! they made us feel very welcome and helped us with everything we needed. it's a beautiful house and the veranda is great for relaxing after a day exploring the surrounding. the place is in a quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance to the center. we really recommend to stay here if you are looking for a quiet and cozy room.

Really nice owners. The house and the rooms are really beautiful and clean. The location is god, in the near of the bus station and the city but at the same time it's a quiet place. The bed was comfortable. The local breakfast was good and we got it directly after waking up(you decide when you want it).

Really nice and cozy place”

The staff is super helpful, the place is super clean, tidy and organized. Free breakfast (superb breakfast! no other place that I'd been served such amazing breakfast). Free tea, free bottled water, free soda. You can rent a bike, same prices as everywhere. Super comfy bed, A/C, free Wifi, lots of electric plugs, clean rooms. Really quiet place, and excellent location.
