My husband and I stayed at this hotel for eight days, our only regret was that we wished we had booked for a longer stay in Hoi An! This hotel has an almost Island resort style feel to it. It's approximately 10 minutes walk from ancient town, but is tucked away from all the hustle and bustle which makes it a perfect getaway for couples and families that want to experience all the sights and sounds of Hoi An, but also want to spend some time relaxing by the pool. The pool by the way is huge! Plenty of sunbeds for everyone . The facilities overall are great amazing pool, great dining, beautiful rooms. But what made this hotel really stand out for my husband and I were the lovely staff, from the friendly receptionists, attentive dining staff to the lovely housekeeping maids all of whom will go out of their way to keep the guests happy. By the end of our stay half the staff knew us by name, and really made us feel like part of the family. We have stayed in many hotels throughout Asia and the Vinh Hung absolutely trumps them all in Customer Service! We have already recommended this hotel to friends and family and are planning the next holiday back to this amazing little getaway!

So, we ended up at Lantana (on the wise recommendation of a friend) the day before the Typhoon Damrey flooding hit. Saturday afternoon, we drove up to the front gate on the road next to the river in a taxi. By Sunday there was no road to be seen and by Monday, the water was in the Lobby. And you know what? We never even considered checking out and going somewhere else....So, we ended up at Lantana (on the wise recommendation of a friend) the day before the Typhoon Damrey flooding hit. We never even considered checking out and going somewhere else. The staff here is simply the best of the best. They made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. They took note of our names right away and referred to us by them every time. They remembered the drinks we ordered (and enjoyed immensely) at Happy Hour and even what kind of eggs we ordered for breakfast. Every single thing was done with a smile on their faces, even when the circumstances were out of their control and less than ideal. When the flooding reached the lobby, we arrived downstairs in the morning to find that the breakfast buffet had calmly and simply been moved to the hallway on higher ground. Coffee was still hot and even eggs were still on order direct from the kitchen! Many of the staff members stayed at the hotel overnight several nights in a row. Some to cover for staff who couldn't make it in, we imagine, and others because they couldn't make it out to their own flooded homes anyway. Not once did we see a hint of frustration or annoyance or even the exhaustion they must have all been feeling. They worked TIRELESSLY and earned our business over and over again in every interaction we had with every single staff member. Our room was cleaned every day, our laundry was even done in a couple of hours on the worst day of the flooding, and it was all done with a general smile. We were so touched by Brian and his staff, including Anna, Lisa, Jessica, Nancy and many others whose names we failed to make note of, we literally cried leaving for the airport. We will NEVER forget our trip, will never stay anywhere else in Hoi An and will recommend this wonderful place over and over and over

I would say the stay at Little Hoi An was one of the best throughout our whole Vietnam trip, well maybe even better than any we had in Singapore. They had the best customer service, which me and my bf were really happy with. We were greeted with smiles and lots of useful information when we first checked in. The both of them were really helpful and went the extra miles to answer all of our needs, that really brightened our 3 nights stay there :) We had the deluxe room, though the view ain't that good, we thought that the room has a simple yet elegant decor. We were so satisfied with the room that we actually extended one more night to stay in Hoi An. The breakfast spread is not that large but definitely sufficient and really delicious. There's always staffs around to serve either bread, vietnamese crepe or iced coffee. Once again, we were overwhelmed by the awesome service rendered, really way better than what a typical 4 star hotel will offer. Lastly, the location is really awesome we thought, as we can always spend the evening walking from the romantic ancient town to our hotel. We enjoyed being near the locals, and yet able to enjoy the quiet moments with each other. Definitely going back to this hotel if we visit Hoi An in the future. Highly recommended!

( We extended by 2 days, for a total of 5 and were very sorry to leave.)The free local food sampling on premises daily between 4-5 pm ( weather permitting) kept us from checking out more of the local restaurants... Delicious! But when we did visit ... Excellent food, ridiculously low prices. Remo, the food and beverage manager, has excellent suggestions for tailors, restaurants, etc. Bring your favourite clothes to have copied... Extremely inexpensive, excellent tailors. Make sure you have at least 3-4 days for ordering, fitting etc. Do not go to the shops recommended by front staff... Definitely better out there, and their recommendations are due to the 30% kickback they get. Having tried a number of shops would recommend Silk Road, Zen Silk, and Byfas. There is a lovely leather shop on the main drag, Tran Phu, Hieu Da Leather...they can do leather or suede jackets, purses etc... Beautiful work and shockingly low prices. All within walking distance to the hotel. If we ever return to Southeast Asia, we'll make the trip here. Not to miss... A tuk tuk ride through old town, river cruise, and Cargo Restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

The rooms are large and well appointed, but it can be noisy with the motorbikes and people walking by. But motorbike traffic is restricted to certain hours and its pretty quiet at night. The rooms are large and well appointed, but it can be noisy with the motorbikes and people walking by. But motorbike traffic is restricted to certain hours and its pretty quiet at night. The balcony is great for people watching and having a glass of wine. The hotel is an authentic Chinese trader's house (only 6 guest rooms) and furnished in period antiques. This is not a resort or a place for kids, but if you want a great atmosphere and a sense of history, stay here - one night is enough. Its close to everything - probably the best location in town, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Its definitely worth the experience.

Then had some biking around the city and decided to back in the hotel for breakfast. The staff approached me and said "I need to tell you about your booking" then I stopped her because I don't wanna be disturbed in my eating. I said can you let me finish first? I'll talk to you later after I'm done with my breakfast. After that I went to reception and said what was that again about my reservation? The lady said I was in the wrong room. At first, I knew that it was gonna be a dispute. Then I was thinking if I'm going to fire-up or taking it calm. Then, politely I explained everything what happened yesterday. I was so impressed with reception for admitting their fault. She said it was not my fault and whether I pay it or not it is okay. It is just happened that I have no extra budget left and later I'll be traveling down south to Da Lat and back to Saigon in few days. I highly recommend this Golden River Hotel to everyone. The staff were great and the room is complete and comfortable. Plus I admire the value for customer service. Sometimes life is like a mirror what you showed to others will reflect back to you, so keep calm and drink Viet coffee (with ice and milk please!) 😉 Highly recommended to everyone visiting Hoi An.❤️

This hotel is in a great location for those looking to stay within close proximity to the Hoi An old town. It's a short walk across the bridge to reach all the restaurants and shops. We booked a Deluxe River View suite which was very well appointed and kept sparkling clean by staff each day, including the enormous sunken bathtub in the bathroom. The river view wasn't that much to look at, but since we spent most of our time walking through the old town that didn't really bother us. The room itself was lovely - very spacious - but probably a bit wasted on just the two of us, as there were two king/queen size beds in the room as well as a lounge area and bar and a little balcony that we simply never used. Would be great for a family though. Buffet breakfast was nice and the staff were helpful, although we did have some issues with the laundry service. We ended up waiting almost two days to get our laundry back and when we did, had a number of items missing that were never recovered during our stay. Probably not a problem for some, but when you're backpacking and travelling light those kinds of laundry delays and clothing losses can really put you in a bit of a pickle! All in all though, this was a pleasant place to stay and based on the room we stayed in I would certainly recommend it to families looking to stay close to town.

I loved the Pho Hoi 1 hotel. For $15 I had a spacious sunny room with windows looking out over my balcony to a lovely old , quiet lane. The room was clean, spacious, simply furnished and comfortable. The staff were so kind and helpful. Each night they brought me a flask of hot water so that I could make tea [you need to request this though]. The room was clean, spacious, simply furnished and comfortable. The staff were so kind and helpful. Each night they brought me a flask of hot water so that I could make tea [you need to request this though]. The hotel is in the perfect location, just steps from the ancient town. There's no breakfast at the hotel, but I went to the Hoi An Roastery Coffee House around the corner and down a bit, at 135 Tran Phu Street for perfect coffee and pastries in a very cool setting. The hotel is also very quiet at night, so there's no problem with sleeping. Ming and the rest of the staff booked my tours at very fair prices. I will absolutely stay here again - it's simple but a really nice base for exploring Hoi An ancient town and the tons of great cafes there, as well as the ancient temple complex of 'My Son', and it's only 10 minutes by motorbike taxi to the beach.

We stayed in a twin room on the second floor. It was incredibly spacious with a modern TV, mini fridge, desk and wardrobe. Aircon worked wonderfully and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Room is also cleaned daily with fresh towels. The true star of the hotel is the bathroom. Absolutely beautiful rainfall shower head and handheld option. Location cannot be faulted, in walking distance to absolutely anything in the Hoi An centre. The free breakfast isn't that impressive. It's a 5 or so minute walk to Tanh Binh 3, where there is also a pool you can use. The younger male and female receptionists were wonderful and always willing to help. We are sad to not remember their names. She even organised our bus to Hue at a great price. She also booked us a great tour to the My Son temples with a scenic boat ride back to the city centre, we would definitely recommend this tour option. There was one receptionist who seemed to hassle us every time we walked in and out of the hotel attempting to sell us tours. He even tried to overcharge us for the our laundry. But once we clued on to his attitude we chose to wait until the friendlier staff were at reception until we asked any questions. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone - it's cheaper than many of the hostels in the area!!!
