Find hotels in Tesco Extra Sungai Dua

First time I stayed in the twin bed room, this time in the king size bed room. The room is clean, and the bed comfortable. The rooms in U Hotel isn't very big for people who need to move around especially not suitable for wheelchair users. The bathroom is wonderful. No bathtub just straight forward shower. Toiletries provided. There's also a hairdryer, 2 bottled water, coffee/tea stuff. The parking space is ample. Food choices around the hotel is great. There's the cafe/bakery next to the hotel. 10% off for hotel guests. There's foodcourt at Tesco Extra, lots of Chinese restaurants, Mcdonalds, Pizzahut, Baskin Robbins, KFC, Arab food at nearby shoplots (walking distance 3-5 minutes). You can take Grab or bus from in front of the hotel. USM is 3 minutes away, Komtar is 10 minutes, airport about 15 minutes. To note there's a RM100 deposit when you check in and an extra RM2 per day hotel tax eventhough you've paid full through Agoda. And there's no refund if you check out early.

I have stay here around 10 wks. The colour hotel is WONDERFUL likes my second home. The host and staffs are very NICE, KINDNESS, HELPFUL likes my family, best friends. I feel happy, safe, comfortable, quiet and convenient. The rooms are new, clean and standard with keycard. You can go around Penang by the bus that the bus stop in front of the hotel. The Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is near the hotel where you can go to USM by walk or bus. The restaurant opposite the hotel. The convenient store (open 24 hrs) is next to the hotel. If you would like to Gelugor, Penang. Don't miss out to stay here! Confirmation!

The Familiy room was furnished with 3 queen size bed, and 1 Extra Double Matress. The room itself was very large. It can actually cater for up to 7@8 family members.The hotel was actually 2 side by side triple storey house converted into a Hotel. Parking is a bit of hassle. The bathroom itself was equipped with a very large spa-like bathtub. Considering that we were there just to sleepover, it was a very comfortable and restful experience. Very economical.

The staffs were friendly, and will help you. Another thing I liked as Muslims they don't give room to unmarried couple (except non-muslim). I am always looking hotel/a place to stay like this. ;D The single room is very small fit just one person but I don't mind that. Farin Hotel location very very near to Sungai Nibong Express Bus Terminal. Anyone from airport or jetty can just take a bus to Sg. Nibong terminal to find Farin Hotel. From this terminal, just cross the road and Farin Hotel is there. Penang has a very easy public bus service and nice people.

This is the first time I stayed at the Anggerik Lodging Hotel. As I was driving alone, I called the hotel ahead to ask about the directions to the hotel. The lady who answered my call gave me very clear directions and the hotel was very easy to find. The parking lot is at the hotel's compound and it is quite small. I had problem parking when the car park was near to full as there is less space to maneuver. If you are lucky, you'll get a covered parking space(only three available). Although transport can be arranged by the hotel, the price is quite steep. The hotel was quiet even though it was full. The room I had was small but clean. There is a TV in the room. However, the TV programmes are limited to the local stations. Although there is a jug kettle in the room, you have to bring your own drinks (3-in-1s would be great). All in all, it was a pleasant stay. If you want a place to stay in Penang without burning a hole in your pocket. This is a hotel worth considering.
