The hotel staffs w...We had a lovely stay at this hotel, which is at the outskirts of the old town. Hence, it is quiet and not as noisy as the hotels in old town itself. The staff impressed us by even coming up to our room at night when we called the reception for help. The breakfast will be nice if the food is warmer and the taste of the food can definitely be improved. The hotel staffs were also very helpful to assist with our airport transfer from Da Nang airport. Thank you Lantana Hoi An :)

We arrived by taxi and was a little disappointed by the location. We thought we were closer to the old part when we booked, but as it turned out, it was only a short walk to the second bridge and into old Hoi An. I booked a river view room and what you got was the view of a canal which we saw when we arrived but thought the river was at the rear. We thought we were closer to the old part when we booked, but as it turned out, it was only a short walk to the second bridge and into old Hoi An. I booked a river view room and what you got was the view of a canal which we saw when we arrived but thought the river was at the rear. No, the river view is the stagnant canal. Our room was on the ground floor so there was no view anyway through the trees. They put us up on the first floor when I complained. There is a balcony, and I will admit, it was quite pleasant sitting out there in the evening when the surrounds were lit and the lights reflected off the water. The hotel is rated a 4 Star but I would rate it as a very good 3 Star. It is a nice hotel, the staff are wonderful and the room was comfortable. Only had breakfast there and provided every thing I needed. No need to go into old Hoi An in the evening to eat and drink if you don't want to, there are plenty of places along the canal (river) and only two minutes walk from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel, but if you book a river view room, make sure your room is on the first floor or second floor.

Below is a summary of my experience: • Good location; on small, quiet street a short distance away from the old town • Riverfront and has excellent view of the river • Staff provided freshly squeezed juices while we waited for check in process • Front desk staff and management very accommodating and customer focused. Nothing pleased everyone in our traveling party during our Vietnam trip… except this resort. It pleased even the most critical person in our party. This was the best hotel stay and a highlight of our 3-week Vietnam trip. I highly recommend Vinh Hung Riverside Resort without hesitation! • Beautiful grounds and layout. In the middle is an outdoor pool. • The restaurant is large, nicely decorated, has outdoor tables overlooking the river and provides a beautiful view of the river • Our rooms were large, comfortable, with an old-world, antique look and feel. • The room has AC, a safe, coffee, wifi (somewhat slow). Bed was large and comfortable • Breakfast buffet was stunning in its wide range of food items to choose – both western and Vietnamese foods – and in its elegant arrangement. We sat outside to eat our breakfast the first morning and enjoyed the view of the river • Complimentary samples of local cuisine in the courtyard in front of the restaurant daily from 4-5 PM. The foods were excellent • Bike rental business in front of resort which was very convenient for us. I recall the rental rate being 25,000 dong a day per bike.

We were instantly feeling relaxed, welcomed and at home walking into the quiet, dimly lit, dark-timber and red-lanterned 200+ years old house of Vinh Hung. Thin checked us in in a friendly, relax...We arrived at Vinh Hung after a week of noise, pollution, heavy traffic and restless nights: looking forward for a relaxing few days in hopefully lovely, sophisticated Hoi An. We were instantly feeling relaxed, welcomed and at home walking into the quiet, dimly lit, dark-timber and red-lanterned 200+ years old house of Vinh Hung. Thin checked us in in a friendly, relaxed manner, complete with hot green tea, some chit-chat, some info about the place and Hoi An. Our suite was a long room with dark, wide, polished floorboard with a queen and double bed, beautiful and simple, air-conditioning, with marble-floored bathroom and toilet area separated by carved timber sliding doors. As we were in the middle of Ancient Town, after dinner-time became quiet and peaceful with occasional local domestic-life noises and scents. We had the most comfortable sleeps here and woke up refreshed to enjoy a lovely spread of Asian and Western variety of buffet style breakfast, with attentive, chatty and friendly but not overly lingering staff. The Ancient Town in its glory days was well imaginable sipping hot Vietnamese coffee at Vinh Hung on those comfy deep, low-legged Chinese-style wooden chairs. This building, we later found out, was so much better preserved and maintained than its other counterparts around this area. We're really grateful for the love and foresight dedicated to keeping this place beautiful, traditional and full of human life. Thanks everyone at Vinh Hung.

The location is good, nice staffs. The room is a little bit smell of old (understandable in the Old city). However, I booked the room with a balcony (extra money in comparison with other normal room) as I saw the picture with balcony viewing the Old Hoian street, but in fact, the balcony of the room only viewing the wall of other house, not like in advertised picture. ...The location is good, nice staffs. The staff explained that only the VIP room having the balcony viewing the Old Hoian street, not my room with normal balcony, but they could not deny the fact that the picture in Agoda for the room is not real.

The location is second to none for walking to see the sights or even have a meal in a street front cafe overlooking the lake. Enjoying the evening markets just around the corner and the beautiful, colourful lanterns. Very nice, helpful and courteous staff...I stayed at Vinh Hung Old Town hotel from 4 April - 7 April 2019. This hotel is in a great location for those looking to stay within close proximity to the Hoi An old town. It's a short walk across the bridge to reach all the restaurants and shops. It's a short walk across the bridge to reach all the restaurants and shops. We booked a Deluxe River View suite which was very well appointed and kept sparkling clean by staff each day, including the enormous sunken bathtub in the bathroom. The river view wasn't that much to look at, but since we spent most of our time walking through the old town that didn't really bother us. The room itself was lovely - very spacious - but probably a bit wasted on just the two of us, as there were two king/queen size beds in the room as well as a lounge area and bar and a little balcony that we simply never used. Would be great for a family though. Buffet breakfast was nice and the staff were helpful, although we did have some issues with the laundry service. We ended up waiting almost two days to get our laundry back and when we did, had a number of items missing that were never recovered during our stay. Probably not a problem for some, but when you're backpacking and travelling light those kinds of laundry delays and clothing losses can really put you in a bit of a pickle! All in all though, this was a pleasant place to stay and based on the room we stayed in I would certainly recommend it to families looking to stay close to town.

The room was clean, spacious, simply furnished and comfortable. The staff were so kind and helpful. Each night they brought me a flask of hot water so that I could make tea [you need to request this though]. The hotel is in the perfect location, just steps from the ancient town. There's no breakfast at the hotel, but I went to the Hoi An Roastery Coffee House around the corner and down a bit, at 135 Tran Phu Street for perfect coffee and pastries in a very cool setting. The hotel is also very quiet at night, so there's no problem with sleeping. Ming and the rest of the staff booked my tours at very fair prices. I will absolutely stay here again - it's simple but a really nice base for exploring Hoi An ancient town and the tons of great cafes there, as well as the ancient temple complex of 'My Son', and it's only 10 minutes by motorbike taxi to the beach.

Room is also cleaned daily with fresh towels. The true star of the hotel is the bathroom. Absolutely beautiful rainfall shower head and handheld option. Location cannot be faulted, in walking distance to absolutely anything in the Hoi An centre. The free breakfast isn't that impressive. It's a 5 or so minute walk to Tanh Binh 3, where there is also a pool you can use. The younger male and female receptionists were wonderful and always willing to help. We are sad to not remember their names. She even organised our bus to Hue at a great price. She also booked us a great tour to the My Son temples with a scenic boat ride back to the city centre, we would definitely recommend this tour option. There was one receptionist who seemed to hassle us every time we walked in and out of the hotel attempting to sell us tours. He even tried to overcharge us for the our laundry. But once we clued on to his attitude we chose to wait until the friendlier staff were at reception until we asked any questions. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone - it's cheaper than many of the hostels in the area!!!
