location is in an industries area, between surabaya airport and the city. around 30 min drive to the surabaya city centre. the hotel look like a 3 stars hotel from outside. lobby and staffs were up to 5 standard. when open my room door, was surprise by a 6 stars rooms. i mean it, i have stay more then 100 hotel around the world and the room is the best i come across. it will let many of the 5 stars hotel to a shame. breakfast was normal, anyway is free, so no complain. no pool. easy to get high class food places next to it.

The Bumi Surabaya hotel is an excellent hotel to stay. The facilities are great. The reason why it is only mentioned "Good" in stead of "Excellent" is because it is - for international travellers - unacceptable that the alcohol policy of the city of Surabaya prohibits to sell drnks like a simple wine, etc. The hotel must strongly protest against this rule. Although the bathroom facilities can be improved (read: modernised) it is a pleasure to stay here. For the parking facilities it seems to me it would save time if the reception gives you a stamp on the parking ticket, in stead of having the security phoning the reception again. It takes unnecessary extra time. Further it is wearth to come back again.

If you want all facilities you expect from a 5 star hotel for the price of 4 star, this is the place to stay in Surabaya. Excellent facilities, superb service and always smiling staff. The deluxe rooms have bath tub, shower and free mini bar! A very good swimming pool, relaxing spa and a good bar/club to unwind if needed. Tasty food in room service has to be mentioned, that too with a good vfm price list. Only thing I disliked was the extra charges for housekeeping. An evening room cleaning is charged and there is no option for turn down services. Extra recommended stay in Surabaya. Thanks for the great service, Team Verwood. Looking forward to stay here again!

I booked a premium room at the Four Points for 2 nights as I needed to travel to Surabaya for a business trip. All the hotel's premium rooms were full, so I was upgraded to a suite -- this was a very pleasant surprise! Overall I enjoyed my stay very much. Being connected to Tunjungan Plaza Mall (with every international store and restaurant imaginable) made this a great home base for my stay in Surabaya. Would recommend to anyone

this is one of the best hotel i stayed in surabaya so far. the executve deluxe room is great. this hotel has an outdoor rooftop bar that guests can see the nightview of surabaya. this is fantastic and i also enjoyed the morning view when having breakfast on 21st floor. the room was higher than my expectations and it was huge! tv in living area and bedroom. i love the food at ah yat abalone restaurant within the hotel also. i had stayed in international 5 star hotels before in surabaya and this hotel far exceeds my expectations and furthermore, its proximity to the highway is well-suited for business travellers like myself. will stay here again and will recommend to other visitors to surabaya on business trips for sure.

It was a short trip to stay at Grand Darmo Suite, but it paid us well to be there. The hotel's location is just across of Taman Bungkul where you can find yourselves a lot of local and tasty foods at night. Don't get too full. My advice is to take one menu a little, and then try another one. It's good for people that doesn't know Surabaya a lot or the ones that don't have car for travelling around the city. Also, the room is greatly designed. A bit worn, but still in its best shape for years to come.

The Hotel Ciputra World Surabaya was above my expectation. Everything in the hotel is above average and in fact even the rest rooms as a "wow" factor. Everyone was very friendly from the honest security guards to the hotel General Manager Ms Christiane Wasfy who was herself very outstanding after meeting her personally during her rounds in the hotel. The hotel is in tip top condition with big room and very luxurious with nice bed to rest. We had a magnificent spread of local and international foods for breakfast. The hotel also have a great view of Surabaya city at the 22nd floor of their rooftop swimming pool and health spa. Ciputra World mall is one of the best malls in Surabaya with very good shop and wonderful restaurants to chose from that made me loose my diet. The only lacking is hospitality during check-in is missing and check-in can be improved and personalised like other five star status hotel because guest appreciate after their long travel to be greeted well with a welcome drink. The choice of choosing Hotel Ciputra World was the correct one for us and is on the top of the list to stay in Surabaya for the future return visit. When you book into a Shangri la property you expect quality and this one in Surabaya lives up to the brand. I stayed for one night only and did not have enough time to experience all the hotel has to offer. It is truly a 5 star hotel with several restaurants, huge pool and large spa with sauna steam and jacuzzi. The Gym was impressive as well. The room is well appointed and comfortable. Staff was friendly and well trained. What impressed me most is the free wireless which is available all around the whole hotel and best of all not need to log on again in different places. It has a free shuttle to the mall nearby but the frequency seems a bit limited given the short distance. All in all a very good option when in Surabaya especially if you need to be west side of the city.

Definitely Five Star all the way! One of the most enjoyable and nicest hotels I have stayed at in the Shearton Chain. Sadly, I had only booked the one night and moved to another hotel for the remainder of my time in Surabaya. Totally professional, courteous and friendly staff. I entertained local friends in the various restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinnmerand they were most impressed. The AGODA special rate Deluxe room was excellent value and was spacious and most comfortable. If money is not a major concern, I would very strongly recommend Sheraton Surabaya Hotel & Towers to everyone.

This one of the best value for money hotel I have stayed in Surabaya. The staff is so friendly, I have requested a quiet room and the hotel gave me the 9th floor and I wasn't disappointed, it was not only quiet but had a great view of the city. There was so many eating places just outside the hotel and in the evening there were rows of warungs just behind the hotel. This hotel is in between two huge shopping centre which is 10 - 15 mins of walking distance. The bed and room was clean, the bathroom was clean daily, there was hot shower 24hrs, toothbrush and 2 bottles of water was given daily. There is a kettle with tea and coffee replenish daily. A welcome drink was given when you check-in. I was impressed with the breakfast as compared to other 3 stars hotel, MaxOne serve a very god breakfast, there was fried noodles, fried rice, plain rice, vegetables meat, bread, Jam, butter(you can toast your bread), there is milk and cereal. There is porridge, pudding, fruits, coffee and tea.

Since the first moment I stepped into this hotel till the moment I left, I feel honored and blessed to get to know this hotel via Agoda. The room rate is very competitive to start with. Yet, its Services, Facilities, Staffs, Cleanliness and Location are much better than other 5 stars hotels. Why? This hotel management, from the parking attendant to the reception staffs are so friendly and resourceful that make our stay like at our own home. Their hospitality is no match yet in Surabaya to say the least. Their services are very prompt. Their Facilities are well maintained. Their Cleanliness is too good to be true. Lastly their Location is easily accessible. By all means, this will become one of my favorite hotels in town. Once again, thanks for your hospitality Elmi Hotel.

It was nice staying at Wyndham Hotel Surabaya as the room was big around 46 m2 and luxury. It has bath-thub and b8g bathroom. The location was great, u could walk to Tunjungan Plaza only takes 7 minutes. However, for 5 stars like that, the facility is abit broken as it was Pullman Hotel previously. The pool is too small and i think lacking of menu. But if you had short time for business to Surabaya and need hotel close to Tunjungan Plaza or City Heart, thia hotel will ne recommended.

Great location. Walking distance to the Mall. Staff very professional. Check in excellent and rooms outstanding. Clean, good size rooms with a nice view of the city. Very modern and up to date. Breakfast is pretty much Asian so westerners may find it lacking. But in Surabaya you rarely see westerners. So I understand why they would not cater for westerners re the cuisine. I managed to find something in the selection so no problems. I could not fault the hotel. The only thing which relates to local Government not the hotel. The hotel is too close to the Mall to take a cab but the road to the Mall has no sidewalk. You have to walk on the road and the cars travel very fast on the road. We did not feel safe walking along the road. Maybe the hotel could run a Shuttle for a small fee to the Mall. That would be better. Not their fault however. For a downtown area the local Government should provide a safe area for people to walk. Would stay at the Aria again. No question! Excellent.

Upon arrival at hotel was early ie 11am than the check in time set by hotel. The reception staff help me in getting the 2 rooms ready rather than i need to wait at 2pm. It is fast n superb job by them. The morning food buffet is great n a lot of choices. Overall i'm happy n enjoyed throughout our stayed at the Swiss Belinn Tunjungan.. GOOD JOB N KEEP THE BEST SERVICE. Will look forward to come again to Surabaya n stay at the hotel

This hotel enjoys a very good location. It has easy access to most business district in Surabaya and there are so many Taxi, On-line Taxi & GoJek around the hotel. The staff, especialy the receptionists, were very attentive and always tried to do the best to me. Great staff..!! What could be improved is the taste of food in respect of the quality of breakfast. Though the presentation of food was good but the taste was 'so-so' and not reflected quality of a reputable hotel.

We were staying for 5 nights at JW Marriott Surabaya Hotel. Everything was as expected in a 5 star hotel. The staff were exceptionally attentive and tried their hardest to make our stay enjoyable. The swimming pool is child-friendly and my children definitely love it. Unfortunately, the executive lounge room, spa, sauna and fitness centre are not available for young children. If you love durian, try the durian bread at the hotel's bakery located near the restaurant on level 1. For travelers with young children, be aware that the hotel's restaurant is not smoking free. Overall, it was a GREAT stay and will definitely stay there again.

location wise, the hotel is in close proximity to surabaya plaza and grand city malls, about five minutes walk. sharing the name with surabaya plaza mall, you'd think that there will be a dedicated pedestrian pass from the hotel to the mall, but unfortunately this is not the case, and you'd have to walk through the side road to get there. you can't go to grand city without crossing a very busy road either. room offers start from junior suite, and it's spacious and comfy. bathroom is well decorated. and the best thing is, it is offered at much competitive price that similar hotel class.

Hotel condition are clean, modern and minimalist interior, bright lighting at lobby, aisle, room and bathroom, also no carpet inside room so less dust - it's helpfull for people having allergethic. Harris Hotel, became our favourite 4 stars hotel at our destination cities. At least we have stayed at Harris Hotel at Bali Kuta, Jakarta, Bandung (2 locations) and Surabaya.

One of the best stay I've experienced. Noticed this hotel when I was looking for the tourism spot in Surabaya. It was mentioned one of the historical building is now became a hotel. Checked the info and highly intrigued. I was mesmerized by the history of this hotel and how it is preserved. The structure is still the same as maybe 100 years ago. It is amazing how they preserved all the beautiful details and nuance. The beautiful garden in inside is beautifully maintained and can be enjoyed from the balcony. All the staffs were nice and helpful. I took the Heritage hotel tour and got the opportunity to peek the 2 storey Presidential Suite. Will definitely come back to this hotel when I visit Surabaya in the future so I can enjoy all the facilities and comfort. Staying in this hotel is not just a stay. It is an experience and exploration to the reminiscence of the past and history. Indonesia needs more historical hotel like this

when in a new city, let alone a foreign country it's always good to have a place that you could come back to for assistance if need be and a bit of a respite. midtown was great. staff was very friendly and tri at the front desk helped save my trip. i wanted to travel from surabaya to jakarta by train and when i mentioned that to her on checking in she said that the trains were all booked up because it was a holiday week. uh oh. but, she called up a local travel agent and got me an air ticket to jkt instead. whew! i had originally though of just showing up at the train station on the morning of and getting a ticket. the room itself was in excellent condition, everything in place and it all worked. nothing weird like my jakarta hotel which turned out to have only one plug. it was missing a clothesline but that was missing from my hotel in jakarta too. breakfast was good with a small selection that still managed to hit all the expected points such as cereal, noodles, rice, meat and veggies. do not bother with the a la carte option. the coffee was excellent although i had to go like a beggar with my cup in hand for my first cup. that was probably the lowest point of my stay other than the fact that the front desk was always a zoo. turns out that my stay coincided with some sort of holiday week. location was excellent, as others have pointed out, the biggest mall in surabaya is less than a ten minute walk away and i could see it from my room. wi-fi connectivity was quite good but their network will knock you off if you go inactive. not much else to say other than that i would definitely stay here again. it'll be my choice if and when i try for the bromo area.

The Grand Hotel Surabaya is one of those hotel from days gone by. Some may call it kitschy, gaudy trying to display "faux grandeur" but we absolutely it. Our room was unfortunately near the main road and the beeping sound from the pedestrian crossing woke us up a few times in the middle of the night. Staff were helpful and friendly despite our broken bahasa indonesia. Also note that every room is a smoking room.

Fairfield by Marriott is newly opened hotel in Surabaya, Indonesia. This property is located centrally which is very close to Surabaya town square and Siputra World Mall having many restaurants and entertainment. Hotel rooms are so much comfortable and clean. Fairfield Surabaya is equipped with all amenities like a very nice restaurant, swimming pool, spa, ball rooms, studio, gym, yoga, same day laundry, business halls and many more. Restaurant staff is very helpful and kind in nature. Sometimes chef asks you about your choice of food in breakfast so they could prepare the same for you on next day. Hotel staff is very nice and their service is very prompt. if you are planning to visit surabaya thrn Fairfield Marriott is a very good option to stay.

Stayed 4 nights in a superior twin bedroom (with 2 single beds) with my old mother., while visiting my son studying at Surabaya. Clean, quiet, ideal location with supermarket at ground floor and many restaurants (a few of them are Chinese restaurants) at shops around. Found 2 family massage parlors around too. Size of bedroom and bathroom are just alright, not very big or small, just no wardrobe, no fridge.. Hotel staff has been helpful to let me store my food item to fridge of hotel restaurant., and help me to communicate with Grab driver in Indonesian There is hot water for shower, just that water pressure is not that strong (my son told me water pressure at Surabaya is low in general), and maximum temperature can't be steaming hot. I like the wood flooring, instead of carpet flooring, that gives a cleaner feel. A big glass windows, but can't e opened for outside fresh air., so no mosquito too. No comment on hotel breakfast, as I booked hotel room without breakfast option.

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at Swiss-Belinn Surabaya! This was our first time to try this hotel and we absolutely loved it. In fact, I'm planning to book my stay in Jakarta at Swiss-Belinn. The location is fantastic with so many great restaurants along the street...All within walking distance. Oh and they are very serious about the interior design of the hotel! So elegant! The only issue I had with my stay was noise from upstairs. I guess the ceiling is slightly thin or not so sound proof as I could quite clearly hear dragging of chairs and people's voices. But it wasn't to a bothering level. All in all, Swiss-Belinn is best bang for the buck hotel!
