New Hotel at a Great Price”
I was originall going to book this Hotel but due to the previous reviews i changed my mind. I came and checked it out whilst i was staying elsewhere. For the price you will be hard pushed to find a better hotel in Davao. Its new and clean. The staff are great once they get to know you. My room faced the street which is busy but quietens down after 10pm. I think they are short staffed so they ask you to tell reception when you want your room cleaning. For the budget conscious they have fan rooms not advertised which i changed too for $10 a night for a double it is a shared bathroom which has about 5 showers but hey well worth it.still have wifi just no tv

Great Value but Disturbing Security Flaw”
Hotel Uno has a nice reception area but is not as pictured; a full-wall mirror makes it look much larger in picture, and the golden chandelier glow was only used for the photography effect. In practice they never actually turn on that chandelier, so the reception area, although nice, remains pale white and relatively small. At the time this was the best hotel for the money I had stayed at in the Philippines. The rooms are nice and the bathrooms are relatively large. My first room was LOUD due to honking, jackhammer, and buzzsaw noise on the street, so I transferred to a MUCH quieter room at the back of the hotel and rebooked there in-person as well. But when I transferred rooms I noticed a disturbing security flaw. The hotel keycards weren't working at the time, so they give you the physical override keys for the room locks. During transfer I had my old room's key and was waiting in front of the new room, which was locked, while the attendant brought up the new room's key. I tried the old room key on the new room door, and sure enough it opened it, despite the keys having different configurations. This suggests any one key could open a number of doors in the hotel, if not all of them. Very disturbing, although I didn't have any incidents. A final note: Davao is considered the cleanest city in the Philippines but this comes at a cost. Anyone visiting there should know that the longtime mayor Duterte (ironically a former lawyer) is an extremely violent, Saddam Hussen-style psychopath whose most notorious deed is setting up a still-operating outfit known as the Davao Death Squad which summarily executes drug runners and other criminals (go ahead, Google it). If you do visit Davao keep in mind that this guy is both crazy and very powerful there, so be on your BEST behavior.

I stay at this hotel with my wife and 1 year old child and my brother-in-law family for 1 week. The place very convenience with major transport just right outside. Its near the People's Park , Gaisano Mall and the night market(all within walking distance). There are many Banks,ATMs outside. The transportation (Jeep, tricycle) are just at the entrance to anywhere. The room need some extra lighting.....other than that i would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are just FANTASTIC.....There is a in-house restaurant and i highly commended the staff at the front desk as well as the room service..-----THEY will serve u hot drinking water (even 2 cup) they will bring them to your room.THATS what i wan as a service where the staff goes that extra miles for you. Affordable rooms with above average services.”
We generally enjoyed our stay at this hotel. With a great location at the center of Davao City we were able to roam around Davao. Hotel has a very acccommodating staff. On top of that, room rates are so affordable. I recommend this hotel for those who back-pack and love to discover places in Davao.

Excellent”
I frequently stayed in this hotel whenever I am Davao. The location is convenient for me as it is very close to Roxas Blvd, Malls, ATMs and their downtown area. The receptionist and housekeeping are warm and pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. TV Channels are sufficient. The only CONS are, there are a lot, like a lot of small cockroaches and their WiFi speeds are slower than normal.

Affordable and good location ”
The place is just right for the price we paid. We booked 2 rooms but one room had problems with airconditioning. They did not do anything about this. One of the pros of this hotel is the location. We were staying during Kadayawan and the parade will pass through the hotel so we were able to watch it. Cleanliness of the room is not top notch but again, just right for the price.

Very Convenient Location and Excellent Value”
The only negatives were an aircon unit situated too near to the bed for comfort and a lack of storage space in the room. For the price it is superb value, much better than many pricier hotels in the Philippines. We particularly liked the cleanliness and how the room was finished - to a 21st century standard!I've been visiting this country for 23 years so I know the 'standards' quite well!

Worth the money”
Location is excellent since it’s near bangkerohan and Aldevinco where you can buy fruits and souvenirs. It’s also near several restos as well as Ateneo de Davao. If they can only fix the lighs on their rooms. It’s a bit dark and with a huge mirror on the side, kinda scary. But the staff are great and very friendly!

great!!”
we arrived around 9:30 or 10 in the evening. thank God we booked this hotel cause it was few steps from the port, we dont need to take a ride to go to this hotel. there is a convenient store right beside the hotel. its beach had good sand, we didnt swim we just took pictures. negative note was they gave away the room we reserved via agoda but they were able to give us a room with twin beds nonetheless

Totally worth the money.”
I stayed there for three days for business purposes. Paid for a deluxe room for just P800/day, aircon, my own bathroom, and complete toiletries. Their staff are very kind, I asked for a lot of favors and they were very attentive. Ate breakfast, lunch and dinner and I can say that their food is great. Location is accessible. I enjoyed my stay there. Definitely one of my go-to hotels. P.S. If you want hot water during your shower, wait for atleast 2 mins since they use solar-powered heaters.

Great location but inadequate staff”
The hotel has a great location because it is near Ateneo de Davao and Aldevinco shopping center. It is new and the rooms were clean. Do not expect amenities. For the double deluxe, you have a TV, WiFi (though slow in the room), two small bars of soap, a small roll of toilet paper, two towels, lukewarm water in the shower, and a pair of rubber slippers (for room use only). There was no place to put the toilet paper in the bathroom. The walls of the room are thin so you can hear the noise in the corridor and in the street below. We were unable to sleep well. Staff is inadequate (although polite and accommodating) and the hotel depends on students who are doing their on the job training. The restaurant is very inadequate. The cook is not dressed appropriately. Meals are limited so we ended up eating in a fastfood place.

Cheap and very basic”
I have never stayed at this hotel. I booked it for my wife as she needed a place to stay in Davao, for one night. Which means I can only pass on her impression. According to her its you get a basic hotel accommodation with a bed, shower etc. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is located close peoples park and there's a shopping centre nearby - within walking distance - where you can purchase whatever necessities you may require.

fror budget travellers only”
well ..... its ok to stay one night but dont expect good bed a silent place and clean rooms ... would need a complete renovation ...staff disappointing .... u can't ask anything ..... avoid the "breakfast" at the café unless u like to ask them to bring you a coffee and be ready to receive a cup of hot water and wait 5 minutes for a basic nescafé sachet ... They have no idea about the meaning of quality of service there ... There is a cardboard sign with president Duterte in the lobby , the nicest part of the hotel, nobody will tell you about the cockroaches everywhere .... FOR backpackers only !!!! You can find much better and more friendly and clean places all around just open your eyes or ask the taxi drivers , In Davao compared to Manila they are friendly ...and honest :) :) :)

You’ll get the worth of what you pay. ”
It is cheap. Located at the very center of downtown. Close to all city highlights, restaurants and their notorious night market. Accessible to all forms of land commute. The hotel is just good enough, not really fancy. Staff are very kind and attentive. The only flaw is they should invest in strengthening their WiFi.

You win some, You lose some.”
Disappointing.Receptionists gave the impression of a 'Here we go again' attitude when we checked in, with neither a smile or greeting!Bedroom was clean but even though it was a warm night my wife complained she was cold as there was only 1 thin cotton sheet on the bed. Order hot water( room service) and you are charged 7 pesos per cup. The breakfast was poor quality with my wife's fruit juice being mostly water. On complaining we were informed it was because of the ice in the drink! we are frequent visitors to Davao however that is the first and last time we seek accomodation at that hotel.
