Hotel Titiwangsa,brinchang, cameron Highlands”

Hotel Titiwangsa is great value for money when you compare it to other hotels in the Cameron Highlands. Its well located at the edge of Brinchang & is in walking distance of the town centre.The rooms are large & clean & linen is changed daily.The restaurant has a good steamboat which the staff showed us how to use & they were very helpful.Breakfast is eastern & western with a good choice for the price of the hotel.The shower is good with plenty of hot water & good pressure.

I went to Cameron Highland and stayed at Hotel Titiwangsa with my friends. It was located at Brinchang area which is convenient and the staff of hotel was kind. The price was really affordable compare to others with good service and good food, especially the dinner. Even there was lack of facilities such as hair dryer, air condition, I can still recommand this hotel to others. I am pretty willing to stay at this hotel for the next time. :)

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay in Hotel Titiwangsa, Cameron Highlands... It is a walking distance to Brinchang town center... The room has no air conditioner, but there's really no need for it, as the room is already cool from the outside wind... The staff are really friendly... Tours and bus ticket (to Singapore) can be booked at the front desk... There's a good snack shop/cafe on the ground floor... I will stay again in Hotel Titiwangsa...

Great for large family”

we were travelling with nine family members. we reserved a double room for 2, a superior room for 3 and a family room for 4 persons. it was almost 7 p.m. when we arrived at the hotel. we got an upgrade from superior room to a family room. the upgraded room was on the highest floor. it was a huge room with two double beds. however, it only has a small window and because it is just beneath the a-line roof, the room ceiling was also a-lined. the room had a little musty smell. the other family room was superb and it is located on the side where the front facade of the hotel is. it has ample windows to send in the cool breeze of the highlands and adequate furniture to accomodate 4 persons comfortably. the double room was a standard hotel room size, nothing to shout about, but clean and cosy enough for a couple. the best part about this hotel is its included-in-the-room-rate steamboat dinner! our family loved it so much - fresh vegetable from cameron and enough fresh prawns, chicken, fishballs, eggs, tofu....etc to fill our stomachs! last but not least, hotel titiwangsa staff were helpful and courteous and all times. thanks for a great stay!

Worth Every Penny”

Location : Strategic, because located on the a little bit aside of the Brinchang Town but dont have any issue related to parking spaces, crowded and have some privacy. Staff: Just nice Cleanliness : I didt expect to much since the price was cheaper than others on this season (independence and awal muharam holiday) but surprisingly the pillow, bed, quilt cover all been change each time. Recently i go for several budget hotel but face an issue on the cleanliness. Thumbs up for Hotel Titiwangsa. Breakfast : Not so much choices but still acceptble for the price you pay. Price: A lot of cheaper booking through Agoda rather than walk in

Just nice”

Check-in was a breeze and easy. The staff was courteous and gives clear instruction regarding the package we get ( room + breakfast) and a free steamboat dinner thrown in.The room provided with the price paid was really value for money. The location of the room was easy to access for family with 3 small kids as we were given the 2nd floor room facing the main road. The location of the hotel was really easy to find with ample parking space and local restaurants and convenience store just on the same block. But the hotel needs to check on faulty electrical appliance as we were provided with a electric kettle that was faulty( the keeps boiling until all the water dry out) We did mention this matter to the management during check-out. Apart from that, the stay was pleasant and we won't hesitate to stay there again if we plan to go to Cameron Highland again.

this is my second review of the same hotel as i am writing about another incident at the hotel. we had lost our necklace and didn't realised it till we had left for penang the following day. we made a call to check if it was at the hotel but hotel staff said that they didn't see it. two days later, i had two missed calls from a malaysia number. several days later, upon reaching singapore, i called titiwangsa hotel and its staff, told me that the hotel was trying to inform me that they have found my necklace at their laundry department. it might have got folded in between the bedsheets. ms. ana even made the effort to arrange a tour leader from a singapore tour group to bring the necklace back to singapore. my family and i are very pleased with our stay at titiwangsa and are impressed by their standard of service.

lovely hotel with breakfast and dinner included”

we arrived earlier than we were supposed to at noon and were told we could only check in at 3pm. we politely asked for them to arrange for us to have the rooms located closer to each other and they helped us check and got us on the same floor, and while they were at it, they checked us in earlier as the rooms were already available. how about that! the hotel is quite old, so the furnishings/carpets have seen better days but we were there not to stay in the hotel all day long but to walk around and sightsee at cameron highlands, and not complaining about no swimming pool cos it's so cold there who wants to take a dip in a freezing pool? food was okay, standard fare for hotels. dinner was a pleasant surprise as we were totally not expecting dinner to be included. buffet style(only for vege) and a set of meat/seafood and personal steamboat for each table. one table one steamboat. this is cameron highlands so the veges are fresh, and they allow you to refill your vege from the buffet line as much as you like during dinner! love the farms (strawberry, cabbages and many other vege farms) which are within driving distance. will stay here again the price is right.

Hotel with good location and nice steamboat dinner”

fast check-in procedure even though we arrived at the hotel one hour earlier than the stated checked in time. glad with the free steamboat dinner vouchers provided which was cost saving for us. the hotel should upgrade their lift as it was very slow and we needed to wait 5 - 10mins each time we wanted to go up or down the floors. the family room was very spacious with 1 king sized bed, 2 single beds together, separated bathroom and wc. the hotel should increase the tv channels as it did not even have tv3, ntv7 and 8tv. besides that, it did not have good soundproofing whereby it created great disturbance every time the children or guests walked and run along the walkway. it was very chilling throughout the night thus it's a very good experience for those who wanted to enjoy the cold environment. we enjoyed the steamboat dinner as the hotel provided unlimited fresh vegetables with fair portion of prawns, fish balls and fish meats. there was a bakery and massage center at the ground floor of the hotel whereby it's very convenient when we wanted to have lunch or supper in affordable pricing or good massage after a full day walking around cameron. the hotel was situated 5 - 10mins away from the brinchang night market which was very convenient for us to walk over to the market. overall we enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate to stay there when we go to visit cameron highlands again.

Large/simple/cheap/clean room, but average views”

- Plus points: Large/simple/cheap/clean room with 2 x queen sized beds (only Family room) on the 3rd floor (highest in the hotel). Cheap at SGD$90 per night (Agoda rates) - can house 4 adults or 3 adults with 2 small children. Cafe and Indian provision shop downstairs. 800 meters to Brinchang town center. Suitable for families, who do not mind the following: 1) rather small and high window, which faces the main road and the wall of the cliff (thus not much of a view). 2) 3rd floor Family room has an odd angle for the room near the window, giving the impression that the room is part of the "attic" of the hotel, thus the above window is small and "high up", and people who sleep on that side of the room or want to utilize the TV or refreshments must watch their heads or get a "bump on the head". 3) At night, may get exotic insects (colorful, but should be harmless) coming into the room (usually winged and not caterpillar-like). Other hotels may also have the same issue, but this is relatively minor, as it is only an occasional thing. Being Cameron Highlands, at least you get to see and photograph winged insects you don't get to see at ground-level. 4) The toilet is split into the bathroom and the actual "toilet bowl" toilet. Unfortunately, the wash basin is only in the bathroom, so after a trip to use the "toilet bowl", you have exit the toilet and enter the bathroom just to wash your hands (provided nobody is using the bathroom to bathe). Actually, it might be a good thing, just that it will be great if they just provided a 2nd washing basin for the toilet with bowl. Just nick-picking. Anyway, when we bought this through Agoda using the double-point scheme, the penalty was that we don't get the "free steamboat buffet" (as described in the other reviews). This was not expressed in Agoda website, but was only made known to us, when we checked-in. In any case, the steamboat buffet was not that expensive at Ringgit 19 per head.

It was my 2nd stay since 30th August 2015 and I chose this hotel again for another Cameron trip with my friend, Hafeez from 6 - 7 February 2016. I really adore the front line staffs that always smile and greet their guest plus, efficient too. When I called the reception for maintenance assistance, it was so quick and the problem was solved in minutes (water heater). Thanks to the Mr Maintenance for your good effort and service :) I have no problem with parking space. I parked my car at the same parking space without hesitation :) There are a lot of parking space provided! On top of that, here comes the food. The steamboat menu was moderate but I really enjoyed my meal with all the fresh vegetables (nyumss). I have no problem with the food at all. About the cleanliness, you may have my 8/10 star rating (satisfaction achieved). Hotel Titiwangsa is indeed a cool place to stay as the location is very strategic to the night market and nearby good spots for night life. Worth the bucks paid and definitely I'll choose this hotel again for my 5th trip to Cameron (unknown tentative). I was so touched with the warm welcome of the hotel staffs and they granted my request to have my desired room :)

A three star hotel with big rooms and good meals”

My family stayed at the hotel for three nights. Check in was fast and efficient. Upon entering our room, the water heater blew out but this was fixed quickly by the maintenance man. We were given towels that looked as if it had been used as a floor mat but upon complaining, we were given fresh white towels. Family room was large enough for four people. Cameron Highlands was damp and cold throughout our stay especially in the evenings so be prepared to put on extra clothing. It can be quite noisy in the evenings as the hotel faces the main road. We requested for the third floor so this helped to reduce the noise for us. The best part about staying here is that two of your main meals are covered in the price. Breakfast is simple but deliciously Malaysian. Mee hoon, Kway teow and bread spread with butter and jam are not bad for a start. We are particularly pleased with the dinner. If you are staying longer than two nights, the first night is steamboat. You can arrange with the front desk what you want for the second and third nights. Miss Kong at the front desk is very helpful, suggesting dishes such as lemon chicken, sweet and sour fish, fried egg and others in lieu of the steamboat. For our third night, we requested main dishes such as fried chicken and stir fried water cress vegetable. All very delightful. Overall a good experience.

This hotel is crazy ( please read till finish )”

From my review with previous customer stay at this hotel was good I want to give a try to this hotel also the price is within our budget. We arrive at this hotel early around 1.30pm and I proceed to the registration counter, the staff say that hotel check in was 3.00pm and I said never mind we will wait at the lobby while I do the registration only. The lobby area was comfortable with many of sofa available also at the outside they provide a chairs. So we don't have a problem while waiting to the 3.00pm. This hotel building also have restaurant for malay & Chinese food / bakery ( halal ) also have souvenir shop. I eat at the Chinese food, the food is so delicious also have try the strawberry scone, I give 4 star to the strawberry scone. Then actually I check in at 2.00pm because the room is available. The crazy thing happen when the staff give me free steamboat coupon ?? haaa...free, yes its free for the hotel guest. Normal price is rm22 per head. We 4 of us having dinner at the restaurant and it was much of food ( steamboat choice ). I thinking how they earn the profit while can give guest such a free steamboat. The breakfast also not disappointing because plenty of food such as nasi lemak. bihun goring, kueh tiaw, bubur and bread. Hotel location is in Brinchang but not too near to Pasar Malam need to walk around 10 minutes. For my advise try to avoid buy jagung, strawberry at Pasar Malam....it a bit expansive. Go buy at Kea Farm area more cheap. But this hotel also have a not good item that is my room water heater not function properly need to call maintenance to fix it. Water heater also in old condition that cannot see the water level. That only need to be improve. Others than that I highly recommended to all of you to stay here. I will come again. haaaaa...miss the strawberry scone.

Good value hotel but bad tour service”

Hotel itself was fine; a short walk to the pasar malam in Brinchang and outside the hotel there is a small coffee shop, cafe, reflexology, grocery store, etc. The complmentary steamboat dinner value add to the price. We arrive on an overnight coach at 7am and was allowed to check-in which was appreciated. However, the tour agency that was recommended at the front desk was another matter all together. We booked a Nature Discovery tour with Titiwangsa Tours & Travel (think it's the hotel's sister co.). We were supposed to be picked up from the lobby at 9.30am but still no sight of the guide at 10.15am. When I questioned another driver from the same tour company the reason of lateness, I was shouted at (granted my tone of voice was not so pleasant too). When I walked away because he was getting abusive, he followed me to the lobby and continued shouting at me for a good five minutes. What was dissappointing was that nobody at the front desk came out to stop him even though I was standing right in front of them. Fortunately I was able to cancel the tour and get a full refund. We then decided to book a taxi to go to Mossy Forest & Gunung Brinchang on our own. Imagine our surprise when the taxi driver told us that the Mossy Forest trails are closed. We even saw a big official-looking signage informing about the closure on our way up to Gunung Brinchang. This was when I specifically told the tour company that I wanted to go the Mossy Forest and the lady on the phone told me no problem.

Back for the 3rd time”

this is our 3rd stay at this hotel. we have been here once every year since 2010. we love the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. it's affordability is a plus point. what more with the daily complimentary steamboat buffet dinner thrown in. staying in this hotel is really value for money. this year, we brought our 8 month old baby boy with us and they got a cot ready for us in the room. we were happy that the room was big enough to have space for the cot. it made our stay even cosier than expected! most definitely, we will come back here again next year. thank you hotel titiwangsa!

Great location at Brinchang and decent facilities ”

It is situated at the heart of Brinchang town which is the most attractive site of Cameron Highlands. I can reach almost any shops for leisure or foods. The size of standard room as expected to be at that price. The decorations caught my eyes. Images of beautiful landscapes of Cameron Highlands hanging on every walls, from inside the room to the restaurant. Facilities inside the room is a decent one but i was hoping for a bath tub that wasn't there. A squeaking bed somewhat bothered even me yet alone a honeymoon couple. The service was good. I phoned to change a blanket at 1.00 a.m and was delivered instantly. The breakfast was my favorite moment as the food was a lot and good too! for that price, it was a way worth it. finally, it was a nice stay at the hotel and will visit there again for sure. recommended to all who looked for a decent budget hotel.

Best deal as compared to other. I would definitely be back on my future trip to Cameron Highlands as its well located to all spots.
