My experience with Hotel Sinar 1 was absolutely good and we will be back again for sure in the coming year for our next trip to Surabaya.

Excellent airport hotel”

The promised wake-up call did not happen, but no sensible flier doesn't set their own phone alarm. Less forgivable is the Sinar group hotel names. Two buildings on different sides of a big road, far apart, are each other sign-boarded as "Hotel Sinar". Which was "1", which was "2", is Sinar 3 also confuseable? Distressing for pax and taxi drivers. Name changes urgent because the "1" operation is very good of its type.

Suitable and clean for train”

My stay at Hotel Sinar 1 was a bit austere, but over all I was looking for an inexpensive layover before going to the airport in the morning. I give the hotel points for cleanliness. The property is quite large and I was not sure if the spaces are ever filled completely. During my stay I felt a bit strange since I walked about the length of a football field to get to my room past empty room after empty room - and the single rooms are rather empty. One drawback is that by the time I reached my room there was no longer any wifi signal. The service was straightforward and to the point. They asked me to deposit 300k to be returned at checkout. Guests are given a complimentary drink and complimentary breakfast, and there are amenities in the room for coffee, tea, and water. The free airport shuttle was very efficient and got me to terminal 1 exactly when I wanted. Be aware, however, there is very little if any choice of food around the hotel, but there is a full menu from the hotel restaurant. If you are transiting and looking for a clean place to spend the night, I recommend.

Very good hotel at a cheap price”

Very good hotel at a cheap price, it is very profitable to stay in this hotel especially its location is very close to Terminal 2 of Juanda International Airport. I really enjoy the newest rooms in this hotel and the excellent service, I feel this hotel has undergone a lot of improvements in terms of room cleanliness and good service from its staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

Transit Hotel very near Juanda Airport Surabaya”

This is a transit hotel if you only for staying overnite /few hours and catch next flight, near Juanda Airport Surabaya and Staffs friendly, have free shuttle bus as well, room quite big, clean, worth it for money, free simple breakfast as well.

Best Hotel Near Airport”

The hotel has just finished renovating old rooms into more luxurious rooms with more modern designs. I feel comfortable and very satisfied because the rooms are big, very clean and very fresh with the smell of a new building.. I recommend the superior deluxe room for comfort and luxury.

Near to Airport”

My family and I just stayed for 1 night. Its the best place if you have an early flight. The hotel is near to the airport. Since we left 4.30am, we don't have a chance to have a breakfast at the hotel. But we had tried room service. We ordered food for our dinner. The food is nice.

Mediocre room”

Even though Sinar 1 offer free shuttle transport from / to Juanda International Airport, we think Sinar 1 isn't satisfying enough to our needs. The room was too large for its air conditioner to cool the temperature at any given time. The shower was poor though.

Suprisingly cozy and friendly”

Stayed there on the last 2 days of our vacation (choosed that hotel due to proximity to the airport because we need to board early morning flight 5:25am). Rented 3 standard rooms; it offered basic amneties; acceptable breakfast; but quiet and cozy. Free shuttle service to airport; free wifi limited to lobby area. quite far from city centre but there is a new highway access connecting to city centre. Rent a car instead of using taxi if you plan to spend a day or two visiting the city.

Good if you're running away from a vulcano”

I feel that it's unfair to complain because this hotel literally saved our lives: we were on the run from Bali, following Mount Agung's eruption and this was literally the only hotel with a room available in a 10km radius (hundred's of tourists flooded Surabaya following the volcano alert). However, under normal circumstances I would NOT recommend you staying here, the rooms are dirty (e.g. floor is full of other people's hair, towels and sheets are smelly, past guests' soap and toothpaste lying around) and the whole compound is very, very basic (e.g. wi-fi available only within the main lobby area). The only positive aspects are the price (we paid $30 for a triple room) and the location (5 mins away from the airport).

Closest hotel from airport.. nothing close by ofcorse... they do provide free shuttel services to and from airport every 30 mins... Friendly staff... One small issue was that i was never given a bill for any food I ordered, n I felt i was overcharged. They charged me nearly double the price written on the meny saying that the rest is taxes n charges... 80% taxes? Oh well... i asked for the bill for the food... they said printer wasnt working.

We stayed here one night as we were flying out early the next morning. The hotel was comfortable and served its purpose well. Room was quiet and bed was nice and soft. We had a good night sleep here. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Value for money, free shuttle to airport”

I am amazed at the concept of the hotel layout. The courtyard landscape is well done with the added fishpond is very pleasant and relaxing. The room and bathroom are very spacious. Would be more complete with more added toiletries in the bathroom. Very value for money. Would definite recommend to my friends.

The hotel staff are friendly and you get breakfast . There is a free pickup and drop off to airport . Is basic but clean and does the job for me.

Nice, cheap and clean”

This is the first time I booked thru Agoda. When I handed the voucher to the hotel receptionist, he mentioned that the room was not paid yet. I thought that I might be charged twice for this. Luckily, another hotel staff (which I think is much senior) came and understood about the booking thru Agoda confirmed that the room is paid and I don't have to swipe my card again.
