hotel was easy to access, ample parking space, checkin was delay, arrived sharp 3pm, but room was not ready because previous day (group of peoples) just check out. got checkin at aroun 4.30pm. room was clean, tidy, nice, ok. bathroom ok. bed,pillow ok. aircond ok. tv ok. breakfast was so-so. oh yes, since it was our first time stay in hotel seri malaysia penang, there was a pool for kids. they were very happy. overall our family enjoy the stay. 8/10.

If its heavy rains outside. Watch out your cars parked at the hotel for flood”

Very cozy and relaxing hotel. Close by to bayan baru market and stuff. But if its heavy rains outside Remember to checked your car parked at the hotel lawn. You might wake up having your car floor and carpet all wet submerged by the floods.

Wonderful stay”

The best affordable hotel at Bayan Lepas area. Check In was alright, they let us in by 2pm despite the check in time is at 3pm. Parking space is plenty. Giant supermarket is in walking distance with classy eataries nearby. The room was spacious with good clear TV channels which included sports, NGO and cinemax. The shower was good, room aircond was fine. The bed was great. The pool was crowded though. Breakfast was above average. Staffs were friendly and helpful. It really gets crowded over the weekends. Kudos to all.

Okay”

The place was in okay condition. We unexpectedly arrived early so we understood they couldnt prepare the room earlier. However, on the second day of our stay, the breakfast was pretty bad. Some food were served cold (perhaps they forgot to heat them up) and some not fully cooked (as per what my dad said, maybe it was just their cooking style which do not match our tastes). However, the third day's breakfast is really good. Overall, our stay was okay. My brother who stayed for the first time however had high expectations but nah, this Hotel Seri Malaysia is just so-so for him. Maybe because of how long it has been there in Penang compared to the new ones in other states that we have visited before. He kept telling me that this site shows this hotel has bath tub but actually it does not ☹

Cleanliness need to improve”

However room had been renovated compare with other Seri Malaysia hotel in other states. Before stay this hotel In my personal review on Seri Malaysia hotel concept is keep transitional Malaysia style, I was so surprised after check in this hotel found modern design compared with other state. House keeping have to improve their job quality, they only clean up the common use place. Even the side desk, cabinet, room phone surface is covered with dust. Environment of hotel is quiet and relax. Suitable for business or family traveler, I strong advise hotel management able to improve on cleanliness. Otherwise than cleanliness I given 4 star on this hotel.

Value for money”

Overall, just nice. Room is clean. Aircondition functioning very well cause last time at seri malaysia bagan lalang. They give me room with bad air-cond condition.

Worth the money”

My recent stay was pleasant. Lucky us that we stayed here on Friday, the only day with lunch buffet. The price was affordable and the range of menus were awesome. Breakfast was awesome too. Kudos to egg station staffs! Things that can be improved: 1. Towels were not replaced on the second day of stay. 2. Some of the dishes on breakfast and lunch buffet were too hot. The location of this hotel 1KM from Bayan Lepas Airport & located near local street shop Shopping Mall, lot of parking space, with limited taxi in front hotel. Budget Hotel for Malay Family & Government Servant discount. Best hotel for muslim & budget people. Great & strategic location of this hotel (3star) CheckIn slow, we arrived 02pm but our room not prepare as we emailed before 7day. We wait 1hour, with no welcome drink provide. Staff greet polite, Deposit required upon check-in. (4star) Standard Room as describe, Small Room & new design. Got iron in Wardrobe. Also mini chair & table, my room view street. (2star) LCD Tv & channel no satellite channel. New AirConditioner & Comfort Bedding & Smell Fresh. (2star) Hot shower OK, low speed pressure and bathroom got shower & cleanliness. (3star) Free breakfast & not much variety and limited table. (3star) High-speed Wifi available at lobby only. (2star) Facilities not much, swimming pool small with no maintenance as well, no indoor games Overall location near Bayan Lepas Airport, Budget Hotel, & recommended for budget guest & short stay. Decent stay”

It is quite okay. The room was a but old but habitable. I am quite frequent to stay at Hotel Seri Malaysia franchise, and this hotel was quite decent compared to others. Good thing it provides iron and praying mat in the room but do not have fridge (there was definitely space for it though). My room was at ground floor near the court (I think) and it was quite noisy when people were playing just behind my room. There were ants and cockroaches in the room too. That was quite inconvenient. The staffs were very friendly, but the housekeepers visited my room more than usual. Since I forgot to put up the no disturb sign, I was being disturbed for quite sometimes in a day. The breakfast is okay, nothing more than I usually expected. I do not mid to exclude breakfast next time around. Location wise, it is close to a few shop lots including the famous Kapitan restaurant, but pretty far from local attractions for tourist. Spent a huge amount of money for Grabs. Decent room. Just okay.

Nice Cheap Hotel & Easy accessibility”

Overall the hotel was okay although it is quite old. Easy accessibility as it is located in the middle of bayan baru. The only bad thing is the wifi was having a problem when we checked in

Decent but Average”

The hotel provides the basic necessities expected in a resort (unlike shoplot type hotels), though everything is of average. There is no WiFi in the room; everyone is obliged to stay in the socket-less lobby for free WiFi use. The pool is average. The toilet is adequate. The food is average and sometimes less-than tasty considering this is Penang. The rooms are average and worth the stay. Everything works, just on average.

A Good Stay”

We have stayed almost in all of Seri Malaysia's hotels. Most of it above average in terms of cleanliness. For our family, this is the most important thing. We believe that this hotel was upgraded prior to our visit. It had received an interior facelifts, making it look and feel more contemporary & modern. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here, the staff attended us was very helpful. This hotel sure be on our list when we visit Penang again.

I had booked a wrong date for our check in. But the frontdesk staffs are really helpful by providing the contact number of Agoda customer service to change my date of booking immediately. Thanks God, they still have an available room on that night and we are able to change date of check in. The condition of room is average, to stay for one night. The breakfast also average and worth with value of money.. Will stay here again if we arriving late night at Penang later.

Booked a family room”

The hotel rooms seem renovated, but with cracks in the headboard. The swimming pool is cloudy. Went during the school holiday weekend, it was pretty noisy with kids screaming all around the rooms but the hotel management did not keep the noise down for other guests. If you are looking for a comfortable bed, water heater and some tv channels to watch on a budget, with place to park, this is the hotel for you. Located 10 minutes from the Penang Airport, it is slightly out of the way of major traffic. The Bayan Baru wet market is within walking distance if you are looking for good hawker food like Curry Mee (in the morning), Curry fish head and Oyster Omelette (at night).

The exterior is a bit old but well maintained. My only complain is that there is no refrigerator in the room and there seems to be a slight smell in the toilet which is not too noticeable. Other than that, I am very satisfied with the place considering the price that I paid. I will certainly book this hotel again if I need to come to this area in the future.

Average option of hotel and suitable with my budget. Breakfast selection is not much to pick as compared to other chain hotel of Hotel Seri Malaysia that i've been before. But, the kids is happy and enjoy their time at the mini swimming pool. That is the most important thing.

Strategically located hotel in Bayan Lepas”

For the price that we pay , breakfast for 2 and location near to Bayan Lepas & airport, it's definitely worth the value. Appreciate if the hotel could boost up internet access and also condition of the room (aging room)

Dirty Room!”

Location of the hotel was very strategic. I got spacious room and plenty of parking available. The nightmare started once you enter the room. Smelly and the toilet was not really clean. The worst part was I found centipedes (lipan) in my room. The breakfast was average. Basically, this is my first time stay at Seri Malaysia Penang and I would never come to this hotel again!
