Friendly staff. Given Perhentian hotels are expensive compared to KL and many other parts of Asia, this was great value. Great location (many rooms have sea view from balcony) and the restaurant was over the water. Rooms were clean and power was on all day. 5 minute walk to ferry jetty. Quiet beach but if you want the noise and party of long beach, is only a 10-15 minute walk away. Long beach is probably better for swimming but Senja Bay is located on Coral Bay so there is some coral for snorkeling.

Clean & neat reception, restaurant & room. Stayed in fan room on the highest level, beautiful view overlooking sunset and surrounded by nature. Nice veranda with table and chairs. Theres space to hang a hammock in front of the room. You don't really need an AC room as gets pretty cool at night. The whole resort is very well maintained. Free wi-fi and hot/cold water refills available. Room comes with hot water, some basic toiletries & towel. Bed is clean. Location is perfect, right at the end of Coral beach. About 20 mins walk to Long Beach. All staff friendly & very hospitable. We took the earliest boat to the island and they were kind enough to allow us a (very) early check-in at 8am! Thank you Senja Bay for a lovely stay!

Exceptional”
The emplacement is so great that you will forget eveything else !!! We had a spacious room for 4 people with amazing sea view. The restaurant is good and not expensive. The staff is very kind. Really enjoyed our stay at Senja Bay :)

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU ASK FOR?”
Room was good and clean (ready by 10am as I arrived at the island). Served with a welcoming drink, that I didn't expect! Kudos to the staff, attentive and professional. The wooden chalet has good bathroom with bright finish and amenities. Bed is OK. No TV (OK for me), good WiFi, but no drinking bottles provided. Air-cond is working well. Outside the room, there's two steel chairs and a shared desk at the balcony where you can relax. Facing the beach, the way down can be quite slippery if not careful. At night, the way to the chalet is illuminated easy for you to walk back to your crib. Food at Senja's restaurant was good, albei pricy. But the view when you eat, is priceless. If you're a traveller seeking for a tranquil stay rather than at the more bustling Long Beach, Senja is the best place to stay. I found that the beach appealing with crystal clear water (though dead corals are sight of sore) but overall Senja is a good place.

Slightly overpriced”
I travelled as a couple to Perhentian Island on 12th of September 2018 and we stayed at Senja Bay for 3 days and 2 nights. Our room was a double bed with fan on third level of the resort. The good things about the room was the location with its own beach and a beachfront view, the room was cool and airy even without air conditioner, room service was available upon request, and the bathroom was modern style with tiles and water heater. The downsides of the room are: - No water heater/kettle and instant coffee or tea available in the room. - The lightings inside the room are weird. They were too weak to bright up the room but also strangely too bright for the eyes to leave one stayed on during sleep. - There was a strange smell in the bathroom. They probably did not do a proper job cleaning the floor, the smell was not too pungent but only slightly noticeable. - The wall separating our room with the next door was too thin that we were able to converse with each other.

For this trip, it was dive trip. so stay in SENJA is very good choice. i prefer quiet at night instead of very happening place. staffs are good, the location is very good, open the door and the big big sea in front of us. listening to the sounds of waves is one of my favorite things to do. Relaxing and satisfying.

The First and The Last Stay”
Slightly secluded, it's a good thing if you enjoy some privacy. It takes about 15 mins walk/hike to get to long beach, via the jungle trail at Ombak Resort. Wonderful place to see the sunset! But that being said, Senja Bay really need to improve on their cleanliness. Had a 3-night stay, and ended up getting bitten by bed bugs in the extra bed requested (and paid) for. For a room at the price we paid, bed bug infestation is really unacceptable. Breakfast was decent, nothing much to choose from, but I won't complaint about it. Water pressure in the bathroom was great and the water heater worked just fine.

Enjoyed my stay”
Our aircond in room 23 was faulty ( blowing hot air) so the staff kindly switched us to room 27. Aircond was functioning well and the bathroom was clean. However, after a day the flush stopped working so we had to flush it away with the hand bidet. I did find a few strands of hair in my bed, but I couldn't be bothered to complain again as it was late and sleep was more important. The other bed was clean though. It's also worth noting that when people next door walk up and down, we can hear them and feel their vibrations. Was looking forward to eating at the café as I've read from past reviews that it's good, but they weren't serving their BBQ dinner sets while we're were there. However, the staffs are very helpful and understanding. I would go there again/recommend.

Clean and simple accommodation on Coral Bay”
Stayed in the beachfront aircond room. Really enjoyed sunsets from the veranda of the room. Sea water in front of the hotel absolutely clear, can snorkel from the beach. Spotted baby sharks, many fish, lots of sea cucumber and even a swimming monitor lizard. Quiet at night with only few options for food. We walked 15 minutes to Long Beach for more dinner options. Clean and simple budget accompdation with queensize bed, kettle, cupboard and attached bathroom with shower. Really appreciate the water dispenser in the restaurant that's free refill for hotel guests. They have free wifi too.

Nice place, just very close to the beach, the other side of long beach, if you come for rest and away from crowd place, this hotel suitable for you. Room quite ok but look old, however toilet look new, water flow also good

Acceptable”
Great staff and location but the cabins are terrible, terrible, terrible. We had mice in our room, hot water not working, leaking roof during the night storms, air conditioning not working. And expensive, $90 per night for crap accommodation!! Stay somewhere else, you will thank me. Coral view on the big island is much nicer and cheaper ($60) than this hotel. Nicer beaches too.

Great location on the beach perfect for a quite getaway. Very friendly staff, bbq dinner by beach was really nice and breakfast choice was good! Only points was that the walls were too thin between rooms and our bed had bed bugs.
