Great Value, Good Breakfast, ”
Gubeng is a new area (for hotels). And now over the past decade it has turned into a good destination for restaurants and hangout places. This hotel, like some other hotels in the area, is also relatively new. When I selected this hotel for this biz trip, it was because of breakfast and realiability of Santika brand, seriously. Also, because I've stayed in various parts of Surabaya but have yet to try out Gubeng area. Great satisfaction indeed. Santika's breakfast quality has never failed me! Room condition was great. The only downside was probably the elevator. There were only 2 elevators for guest (and also for banqueting events), so the wait was considered long. Few minutes before the door opens at your floor. But apart from that, I'd say everything was good. They have music entertainment as well at the lobby in the evening when I returned to the hotel, I think it was nice because I remembered it was not too noisy and just the right volume for a nice lounging time at the lobby.

We have reviewed this hotel many times so will just keep it to a few point today. Don't come for the rooftop swimming pool or extensive gym facilities; you will be disappointed, there are non. Come for a very comfortable bed, this hotel uses the Lady Americana (hotel collection) for mattress and pillows, which is truly amazing and should put all but the most hardened insomniacs into a sumptuously soothing and restful sleep. Come also for the amazing breakfast spread on floor 2 when you finally wake from your sumptuous slumber. It is unbelievable for this price bracket and has to be one of the best spreads in Surabaya among all of Santika's competitors. ON top of this we have always found the morning and breakfast room staff to be very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. That is why you want to visit this hotel on a short stay in Surabaya.

pretty nice hotel”
Stayed here during Ramadhan. The staffs are nice and very helpful. The interior is super nice. Pool is average. Has rainshower in every room. Doesn't have hairdryer available in room, you have to call Housekeeping to borrow it; installing en-suite hairdryer in every room would be great and less hassle for guests though. Restaurant offers buffet sahur and break-fasting, even though the food choice is far more limited than non-fasting month. Located in the center of city, lots of restaurants around. Overall great hotel! Santika will always be our family's first choice. Keep up the good work :)

Great room and service let down by poor dining”
My wife and I tried this hotel as an option for future travel. We frequently overnight in Surabaya. The rooms and service were great. The junior suite was very comfortable. The pool, although small, was pleasant and refreshing, and the service was excellent. My wife enjoyed excellent service in the gym while I was able to complete some work tasks using the rooms wifi. Complimentary afternoon tea was served and enjoyed in the piano lounge, accompanied by an accomplished piano player and singer. The hotel is quite close to Grand City Mall and the central city district. The only let down was dining in the hotel. If you have to eat at this hotel I would suggest only eating Indonesian cuisine. The western food was sub standard and over priced for what we received, the Chinese food was quite bland and the noodles and dimsum were over cooked. Furthermore the fruit drinks and mocktails were tasteless. I gave up a night at the la Ruccola to be very disappointed by the hotel's kitchen...:( So I would recommend this hotel for the accommodation and service, but would plan to eat somewhere else.

We booked a premier King room which had a bed that was big enough for us ( 2 adults& 2 toddlers ). The room was spacious and very clean . The stafff was very friendly and helpful .furthermore the hotel is close to many good restaurants .We will use the Santika again when in Surabaya . Good value for money !

This hotel is located a bit further away from Surabaya's main shopping area (Tunjungan Plaza), and there was no convenience stores nearby. Other than that, I will definitely stay at Santika Gubeng again on my next trip to Surabaya.

That time I was forgot to book my hotel.. Then, I found available room at santika hotel via agoda... I knew santika is the new hotel.. so I wanted to try... when I was checked in , reception didn't found my booking cause I just booked from thw agoda.. but they give me the solution so I can cheked in directly and took a rest... I appreciated their efforts to make all easier for me...the food really nice.. really taste of traditional food.. keep it up the good work and quality of the hotel..

Very Good Hotel in Gubeng”
This hotel enjoys a very good location. It has easy access to most business district in Surabaya and there are so many Taxi, On-line Taxi & GoJek around the hotel. The staff, especialy the receptionists, were very attentive and always tried to do the best to me. Great staff..!! What could be improved is the taste of food in respect of the quality of breakfast. Though the presentation of food was good but the taste was 'so-so' and not reflected quality of a reputable hotel.

Nice, comfortable hotel in the heart of Surabaya City, near Plaza Surabaya. Room was clean, comfort, staff was very helpful. So we enjoyed staying in this hotel. Unfortunately the swimming pool is too small and located next to the parking way. Overall, I recommend this hotel to all travellers.

Room was excellent, holding true with Santika prestige brand, food was nice, but the best one is the location. It is very close to almost all major tourist spot in the city and we found that this hotel price with agoda compare with the spot is a steal ! :D very very recommended for couple who dont want backpacking through Surabaya hot climate and like taxis:D

New hotel in a good location”
The highlight of our stay was really the nice and friendly member of the reception staff, I should have looked at her name tag and remember her name. There was a queue in the reception area and she made it a point to converse with me while I was waiting. This, I would say, was the 'cream' of a very pleasant stay in Santika Hotel. I would definitely want to try other Santika Hotels in the country.
