My friend and I stayed for 3N in 4-bed female room w/ shared bathroom Room: spacious Bunk beds: very comfortable to sleep in w/personal light, sockets & curtain for privacy (+) air-conditioning -own locker but you need to have own padlock or buy from reception bathroom: clean & comfortable; bring your own towel but you can rent from reception & can also borrow hair dryer building: relatively new & well kept staff: very friendly -reception/main area:spacious w/ tables,chairs, TV, guitar, games, etc. +microwave in dining area for use -breakfast:standard (croissant, spread, butter, cereals, hot drinks, juice). -secured luggage room to leave stuff -outside seating/smoking area about 13min-walk to Old Town; very near Gare de Nice Ville train station (3min-walk), tram line and the bus stop for the airport (just past train station) handy if you plan to do trips to neighbouring areas like Cannes and Monaco or to get to/from airport -nearby restaurants and shops

I stayed in Hotel Ozz as a single female traveller for 5 nights. It was the best decision I ever made. With the option of female only dormitories, I met lots of other female travellers and had a great holiday. The beds also had draw-around curtains and a light and powerpoint at each bed, making them private and comfortable. The hostel itself was clean, bright and welcoming, encouraging you to stay around the common area. I can't recommend it highly enough. Stay at this hostel!

One of the best Hostels in Nice”

The staff first struck me as nice and friendly. The rooms are comfortable with air-conditioning, a great plus in the summer when Nice is hot and humid. The lockers are also useful with many compartments to keep your items, though do bring your own padlock. There are curtains for your bed if you need a little more privacy. Space inside the room itself is rather tight, though and it's not so convenient to put on the sheets yourself considering how big and heavy the mattress is. The bathroom floor is easily wet (would suggest to have a bigger towel or mat for the floor), and lacks hand soap at the sink. On the ground floor the common area is pretty nice, though I believe there is no kitchen for self-cooking. It is well located, very near to the train station and walkable to get to the coast and old town. The area feels safe and quiet and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. All in all would definitely recommend this hostel for anyone wanting to stay in Nice.

Best Hostel I've ever stayed”

It's only 5mins walk from train station and close to main shopping area. You can find a lot of cheap stores, restaurants and supermarket nearby if you are also a budget backpacker like me! Everything is great during my stay in Happy Culture, comfortable public area, clean room, friendly staff and nice coffee machine haha! I will choose here next time if I have the chance to visit Nice again;)

Exceptional”

The hotel is new and very clean and offers free coffee, hot chocolate or milk. Staff are very helpful. The location is great, about 300 m from the train station. I will stay there again if i come to Nice again.

Almost perfect”

In my opinion they could give you breakfast with this price. Otherwise very clean hostel and very friendly staff. There's free water and coffee. Great location. Just a few steps from the train station and a aprox. 10-15 mins walk from the beach/old town (i am a fast walker). I would definitely book this hostel again.

I was there in 23 September, this Hotel is next to the Train Station, only 5' to the bus stop to airport, the room is very clean and there is a staff to check for your comment every day. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly, too.

Very friendly staff and convenient to look around Nice”

It was good choice for me to stay here in the vacation seasons in Nice as the most of hotels are very high price. The staff is very friendly and a room which I stayed is very clean and conformable though there were 3 other people staying at same room. A toilet and shower is located in the room which was very nice compare to other hostels.

We love this hotel”

This hotel decoration is nice and cozy for our stay. The location is great which is close to train staion and tram, but a bit far from the beach and old city that you have to walk for 20 minute or more. The price is very reasonable.

Very clean and nice place, perfectly located, very close to the train station, walking distance of a few minutes, as well as the tram station. Very helpful staff, gave me good recommandations what to see and detailed info. Will be back to this place again!

I loved the location. 3 minutes walking distance to train station. Very easy to go to other cities by train. Or 10 minutes walking straight to old town and Angel beach.

Very good hotel compared to price”

Very nice hotel in comparison with the price. Clean and comfortable beds and rooms. Beautiful lounge downstair. Breakfast not included.

Very good”

The location is near the train station which is great. Staffs are also friendly and helpful. However I didn’t really enjoy the stay because: - room is small: I was in a room for 5, and even with a carry on luggage I felt that there’s almost no space to pack my things. - three floor bed: I’m 160cm tall but still hit my head more than 5 times. Also it makes really big sound when someone tries to climb to the top or even turn around. It felt like earthquake. - bathroom: tiny also, but the parts that most bother me is the temperature of the shower wasn’t very stable, and they don’t have socket inside for the hairdryer.

Great Stay but noisy”

we were allocated the room on the first floor and it was very noisy. our room is right by the lift and we can hear people getting in and out. also, we can hear people chattering from the street area. the ventilation in the toilet is very poor though and the shower head was slightly faulty it's nice though to have a vending machine where we can get coffee and water 24/7.

Near train station hotel”

The elevator was a bit scary. It doesn’t work properly and a bit bumpy. There’s no hair dryer in the room. You have to borrow it. I don’t feel that safe walking around the hotel but it’s near train station and clean

Sleepless nights”

Hotel Ozz is near the train station, so handy for travelling round the south of France, but it isn't located in a particularly nice/touristy area of Nice unfortunately. I found it to be clean enough for a 3* hotel, with very basic facilities. We were staying on the 5th floor and the room had sloping ceilings, meaning a couple of bumps on the head when getting out of bed. The shower was over the bath but located under the sloping ceiling so standing to shower was an impossibility - rather awkward. The laundry is done in the middle of the night (3.45am, 4.30am, 2.35am) and takes about an hour of a man going up and down in the lift and pushing extremely rattly metal trolleys along the corridor outside our room. The walls are so thin it sounds like the trolleys are being bashed together in our room itself, and so 3 of our 4 nights sleep were heavily disturbed (they don't do washing on Sundays). We asked the receptionist after the first night of this - a few had no idea it was even happening, and one apologised but had no solution but to ask the man to do his job quieter. It didn't make any difference - he was obviously just particularly loud on the first night. I have since emailed to complain and have been offered 25% refund of my stay - which I feel is a very small gesture considering I paid to sleep for 4 nights and only slept for 1. I won't be returning to this hotel and wouldn't recommend it.

Quality of hostel ”

Including all aspects of the hostel and my experience of traveling- I have to say that this was one of the best hostel that I’ve stayed in very long time. There are possibly 5 hostels that I would come back and this one is one of them. The staff is very helpful, hostel is clean. The bed was clean and all the sheets were fresh and nicely prepared. The only thing you need to mind is that the room is small but they have made it very comfortable, so I did not minded it. In addition to everything, the hostels location.

It's so close to train station(only 3-5 minutes by walk) The room is very clean and the locker is big enough. It's also close to beach, some good bars and restaurants. It offers drinks for free as well! Anyway, i love it! I love NICE! I think I will visit NICE again and reserve this hostel again!

lacking atmosphere”

40E a night dorm and towel is not included?! I spend one night in a place just around the corner, convenient pricing, towels, breakfast, welcome snack, nice atmosphere. Breakfast at OZz is priced on top, nothing special just the usual croissant and marmalade. There is no fridge, no utensils to prepare a meal, something that brings travellers together.. Altogether average
