Very convenient hotel, close to Lafayette, Opera ”

Had a very nice stay with the Best Western Opera d'Antin in Paris, just a short walk from the Roissy Bus which goes direct from the CDG airport. Marine welcomed us at the check-in, and upgraded my wife and I as a gift for our honeymoon stay. Room was nice, w/ decent sized bathroom. Only complaint would be that the pillows are a bit too soft and not big enough. Security is good as they lock the front door of the hotel after certain hours. Hotel is also across the street from many food options.

Your own space at the heart of Lafayette”

Despite the location at the heart of Opera & right behind Galeries Lafayette... i was surprised to have found this small boutique hotel. I booked it last min and was very pleased. Very spacious room for one person, windows (even though i was facing the other block) very spacious bathroom (with a tub) & excellent service from staff. Complimentary beverage (coffee and tea) and croissant daily, good for people on the go. Would definitely come back here - and totally recommended if you would love to enjoy paris through out the day and need a place to stay which is basic yetcompletes the whole experience! Keep it up guys!

Small hotel with very good location”

We only stayed in the hotel for one night, but really enjoyed our stay. A very warm welcome at the reception. This hotel is within walking range of the Opera Garnier area in Paris and very close to several metro stations. Even though we had a room at the street side it was completely quiet with the windows closed. The bed was very good and we had a very good sleep. There is an option to have breakfast but we did not use it, so I cannot give any comments on that.

Great shopping location, but room too small”

Great location, 5 min. walk from metro Chausee d'Antin-Lafayette. Department stores like Lafayette and Printemps are just downstairs. Great for shoppers. We had the superior (comfort) room which is priced in the middle category, but it was way too small!! Too small to open any large luggage or to even walk around the room. We had room 106 and it's like a room behind the fire escape and it didn't look like we're in a hotel at all. The patio-like window door opened onto a courtyard-like empty space and it made us feel like people across from us could easily walk into our room and we felt quite unsafe. Luckily, there was a good air-condition and we would afford locking up the window door to protect ourselves from intruder while having cool air. So, try to avoid rooms on the 1st floor in all instances. There's a supermarket (Franprix) and a bakery around the corner if you don't want to eat the breakfast in the hotel. Garnier opera, St. Lazare train station and Roissy bus to/from the airport are also very close, within 8 min. walking distance. There's no fridge in the room. Limited amenities (only soap and plastic cups) were provided. It's expensive and small, but it's Paris...! Would rather try another hotel in the future though.

Excellent location, wonderful staff, value for $”

Comfortable, location matters in an expensive city like Paris. The hotel is right besides Galeries Lafayate. Right next to Opera House, Right next to where you can take a bus to take city tours and right on top of a Metro Station. So even if you do not know a damn thing in the city, just book a room there and you will find out everything from just 1 location. It just cant get any better. Yes, it is not as opulent as some of the 5 Star hotels, but this is clean, safe and value for money. The staff at the front desk (Lea, Oliever) - I would rate their service much much better than the service we get at 5 Star properties.

Excellent location with best service ever!”

This was our first visit to Paris. Thanks Agoda for offering good deal and best recommendation. The hotel is next to world class fashion mall, Galleries Lafayette, 3 minutes walk to subway, Metro to some other iconic areas. I strongly recommend this hotel to first time travellers to Paris. The staff were friendly ever with ready to assist the hotel guests.

Hotel location is surprising”

Just right smack behind and the same building as La Fayette. If you're here for shopping in La Fayette, then this hotel is the best location. For self travel to sight seeing destinations, this may not be the best of choice but still acceptable. Take Metro from Opera as it is the main interchange station just right opposite La Fayette. Lots of metro station all around the hotel where ever you turn to. Food is not much selection. Easy to get simple breakfast but dinner need to walk further for more choices. Taxis are really hard to get in the morning in that area so if you're traveling to airport/train in the morning, better do the booking night before. We tried booking the night before but concierge insist on the next day and we couldn't get a single taxi and was forced to go out to main road with lots of gypsies out there and wasn't able to get a taxi for about 15-20 agonising mins. Just insist on the booking on the night before is best option.

great location and staff”

So glad we found this great value hotel in Paris! It's in a great location, and whilst the rooms are a little small and functional (lacking character) they are clean. Best of all was the receptionist, Marine, who was welcoming and incredibly helpful to both us and the in-laws amid some train strike confusion.

Business & Pleasure”

Close to Roissy Bus stop (beside the Opera Garnier, which the Phantom of the Opera was based) from CDG airport and the Big Bus hop on gop off stop (5 min stroll), just beside the Galeries Lafayette store, 3 minutes stroll to Printemp store, and may small eateries, including the Bullion Chartier. And metro. Not much more to ask for.

Excellent for shopping”

my husband and i went to paris for a weekend break and some shopping for me. this hotel is pretty much next to galleries lafayette (walk out the door, turn left and about 50m to escalators). other stores nearby include printemps, zara and h&m. it is also located between two metro stops so is quite convenient for transportation. we asked the hotel to make a restaurant reservation for us one night and were delighted upon walking through the lobby that they had printed out a map with directions and the right trains/transfers to make. for me, it was that extra level of service that made my day. getting back to the itself can feel a bit unsafe at night with all the shops/restaurants closed. overall, i'd come back.

Great location ”

Booked this hotel as it it very close to Galeries Lafayatte. Less than one mins walking from this shopping area. Few metro line & RER A within walking distance. There's bus station next to this hotel where its just few station away from Moulin Rouge. I would said it's super convenient with helps of google maps. There's plenty of Asian food surrounded this hotel, Starbucks just located on next doors. The lift and the room is quite small, inconvenient to big size couple like us. Electric kettle is not provided, therefore have to ask the staff for hot water if required. Overall, it's good stay with reasonable price.

"Small but cosy hotel"”

the hotel room is extremely small. especially the bathing cubical. i could barely stand inside the cubical. however, the location of this hotel is excellent. it is right beside a shopping mall and train station, making traveling around paris very convenient. there are many eateries around the hotel too. i would return to this hotel, if i come to paris.

The hotel is really close to 2 metro stations and is right behind the Lafayette Store. The price is great and it offers you a nice room. I recommend and would stay there again.

We we there from 06 May to 09 May 2011. The hotel has a good location near the metro and just behind Galleries Lafayette. Easy access to food too! Nice room but a little small lift. Overall experience was great! Will return.

Very good location that located between two big shopping malls.It's very very important to hide all your luxury purchases there so that you can drop those products in hotel room within 5 mins. very fast to those main attractions by Metro NO.7 and No.9 , no interchange needed Very helpful and nice staff. Very cheap breakfast at only$10 for two if you are hurry and want a fast breakfast. The only thing to consider is the cleanliness of the shower , maybe it's because the hotel is a bit old.But its acceptable. Recomment for budjet travellers. But its acceptable

Good hotel center of Paris”

Good hotel for short stay in Paris. Large room ( for Paris) on top floor, comfortable bed. Good location close to Galleries Lagayette
