A pleasant stay”
I enjoyed my stay. Banda Aceh hotels are generally poor, aging and over priced. This hotel is only a few years old and caters mainly for businessmen. It is situated around 2.5 km from town. there are plenty of batchas if you need transport. The cheaper rooms have no windows.all rooms I believe are non smoking. The bed was good, air conditioning fine. The bathroom was a little worn but the water was hot. The room was cleaned everyday and toiletries and free water was replaced. Tv had only local channels, wi fi worked well. The breakfast was indonesian buffet which I like. So there was rice, fish/ chicken, egg, vegetables, bread, 2fruits, one juice and coffee. The staff were polite and welcoming. Little English is spoken but that is normal. I think this is a good Acenese hotel.

What A Pleasant Stay”
It was my first time staying in Mekkah Hotel, though it's the second time I visited Banda Aceh. The early check-in policy (from 5am) was really helpful, since my arrival to Banda Aceh from Medan was at the early morning. The staff is kind, friendly, and helpful. Since there is no refrigerator in my room, I asked them to entrust the foods that I bought in Medan into their freezer so I can bring back them again while I check-out later. The bed and the bathroom was okay: they're clean and the hot water worked perfectly. But I kinda surprise they don't have any satellite television, so the LED TV in the room only showed the national station. The WiFi connection was great so I could finish my jobs during the trip. And I found this interesting: the Mekkah Hotel is next door to Madinah hotel. For Moslem, you feel like doing Hajj pilgrimage (Mekkah to Madinah). Hence I can say, my staying here was pleasant and memorable.

Friendly staff, but the room was just okay”
The staff, including receptionist, bell boy, and restaurant staff, were very friendly and accomodating. The hotel room was not quite so good. I stayed at standard room. Overall, the cleanliness in the bedroom area was good, but the en-suite bathroom that I had problem with. The toilet didn't even have a close lid for the water tank, but it worked just fine actually. The curtain was pretty dirty in the bottom. However, the hot water worked very well. The staff cleaned the room everyday, even without me asking for it. And they replaced the amenities and the complimentary water bottle as well.

Old hotel. Smell bad when entered the room. The shower head is placed opposite the toilet bowl and toilet paper holder. Basically your toilet papet get wet when you shower ( unless you realize the toilet paper was there and smart enough to move it) There is lift easier for older people and fair spread of breakfast

No wifi. Rooms are not clean very old furnitures and like poor house. Mattress are not comfortable at all I can’t sleep well that night. Recommend not back here anymore
