Excellent stay”
Best hotel in Kupang, from someone who knows Kupang very well (expat living and working in Indonesia). Owned and built by a western engineer, La Hasienda is built well above the standard usually found in Indonesia. This attention to detail carries on throughout the rooms (homely with a big bathroom and hot water that doesn't run out), through to the customer service (english speaking and will help you with any request including tours), through to the food (Indonesian and western food available at a reasonable price prepared to a high standard; best food in Kupang, trust me I know). I will definately stay again.

Nice place to stay”
I think this is one of the most unique thematic hotels in Kupang. The room is clean, homie place and the staff are friendly. The foods are great and delicious. My favorite is tuna rice bowl with sambal matah... The location wise depends on your purpose during your stay in Kupang. For transit stay, it's a perfect place, because it's only 5 minutes to the airport. Overall, La Hasienda is a great and recommended place to stay in Kupang.

Superb hotel near kupang airport”
We arrived at Hotel La Hacienda and were greeted with a welcome drink. The room was spacious with a great bathroom, air con and tv. and the Internet access worked really well. The bed was also very comfortable. We enjoyed cold beer on the roof watching the sunset and our questions about Kupang were answered by the hotel owner, who has designed the hotel. The hotel is lovely. As the name suggests it has a Mexican theme with authentic artefacts and decoration. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kupang, we had a great time!

Good hotel near the airport”
La Hasienda is owned by a German whose wife is a local. He has built the place well and takes a high interest in his guests. He is very knowledgeable in Kupang and surrounding area and can arrange tours to Rote and around Kupang. I would highly recommend staying here especially if this is the first time in Kupang. They also provide airport pick up. One point to note though, West Timur is absolutely not tourist friendly at all. You should be prepared for tough travelling, poor tourist information, bad roads (or none at all), etc.

Convenient location, funky style, nice staff and rooftop bar”
Well located only 5 mins drive from the airport (with free shuttle), and 15 mins drive to Kupang city centre. The hotel provides motorbike rental for a reasonable cost and can also arrange other transport. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean, beds comfy. Free buffet breakfast, and good lunch and dinner options. The rooftop bar is great to spend an evening and watch the sunset over Kupang with a cocktail or a beer. There is also a free pool table, wifi and darts. Hans the barman is very nice to chat with, and the other staff were kind and helpful.

This Hotel very close from El-Tari Kupang but far from city. very comfort for rest because far from hustle of city. Hotel staff very helpful to take me to some place in Kupang, always ask for clean the room, very open to talk about Kupang and hotel. they always note if I ordered shuttle to going somewhere. for one star hotel, rooms like three star hotel. they provide two mineral water in the bottle every day, they provide not only big towel for shower but small towel in bathroom sink, AC, Television is ready to use too. Interior hotel is unique. Mexico atmosphere felt in that hotel. Thank Kakak Joni, Meki, Atman, Mintus and other staff for your hospitality.

Excellent Transit Stop in Kupang”
This is right near the airport. If you're in Kupang on the way to Alor or elsewhere, and need an overnight, this is a great choice, esp. if you don't need to go into Kupang town. Very nice rooftop bar. Decor is bizarrely Mexican, but somehow it works. Nice also that it has a pool. Tip: they offer free aiport transfer, but we didn't know that and paid a standard taxi rate to Kupang for what was a 3 min ride.

Overnight transit”
We spent two nights at La Hasienda at either side of a trip into central West Timor, and found the staff immensely accomodating and helpful, the rooms comfortable and the food very good. The Mexican theme intrigued our kids and kept them entertained in our short stay. This is an excellent choice for people transitting in and out of Kupang via the airport.

Great place to relax in Kupang”
The Hacienda is a great little hotel a stonesthrow from Kupang airport. It's not super centrally located, but you can rent a motorbike on the cheap and explore Kupang at your leisure. They pick you up and drop you off at the airport too. There is a pool, a bar, restaurant and breakfast is included. The staff is friendly and the decor is funky and cool :-)

Excellent stay at affordable price”
Among the cheapest options in town, it includes free airport transfer, good breakfast, spotless clean rooms, with nice and large bathroom, and comfortable bed. Michael is more a host than a hotel owner, always concerned about your stay and comfortability. Staff speaks good English and they are always ready to help. Will definitely stay again when I go back to Kupang.

Pros: The airport shuttle was prompt, gave a call when we arrived at airport. The hotel contacted me shortly after booking the hotel to follow up. The entire staff support was helpful and easy. The Wifi worked well in the lobby area. The spaces to hang out around the hotel are nice. The food at the restaurant was clean - the mexican theme stuff ok, the traditional Indo food is good. There is a restaurant next to the hotel that servers more traditional NTT food. The shower and bathroom is nice, hot water and good water flow. Cons: The bedding wasn't very clean, stains on the linens. It also had a bit of a chalky texture. One of my business partners woke up with bad back pain from sleeping on the hard bed (the queen size is 2 singles pushed together). There are ants that are in some of the rooms, received a few bites (but I did have some fruit in the room that attracted them). The Wifi doesn't work in the room I stayed in, 2nd floor. Travel into Kupang is difficult, there are few/no taxis that drive by along the road, and it is a bit of an wait to have one come pick up from hotel. The staff did arrange for one to take us to town, 70k Rp fare. We booked this hotel to have an easy trip from the airport and to take advantage of their low room rates. Mission accomplished. Seeing how Kupang is an emerging city in Timor, I would only expect improvement in conditions. Would recommend to friends but with some minor reservation.

It was valuable accommodation”
My stay was being accommodated nicely by La Hasienda. The owner was very helpful taking me down to the beach and providing as much information about the city and things to do. My business meetings were being rescheduled, which caused us had to change the room bookings while we were already checked in, the owner was very flexible and willing to adjust with my schedules. Staffs were also very friendly. Unique Mexican designs applied to the hotel building.

Uniquely decorated, comfortable, but LOUD!”
The hotel itself is located just 5 minutes away from the airport, so it makes a brilliant transit hotel, especially if your flight arrives late/departs early. The owner will transfer you for free, which is also excellent. The design of the hotel is very quirky (South USA/Mexican-themed!) but done with taste. The rooms were beautifully decorated, largely clean (bathroom was ever-so-slightly dirty) and had hot water and air conditioning, both of which were hugely appreciated. Breakfast is included, and the owner offered us a more western breakfast to cater to our palettes, which is especially considerate. The major complaint, however, is the noise. THE NOISE! An ear-shattering din of tuneless karaoke from the neighbouring bar will blast - and I mean full-blast - until well after 11pm. This din was clearly audible in the bedrooms and made sleep nigh-on impossible without industrial earplugs. The corridor then had people screaming and shouting outside our door from 2:30am until 5am. When we mentioned this to the manager, his response was a shrug of his shoulders and, "This is Indonesia." We understood entirely that noise isn't his fault, but some kind of apology would have been both professional and courteous. I would recommend this hotel based on comfort and location, but given the dreadful night's sleep I had, I can't say it has a glowing gold star quite yet.

Good hotel, managed by foreigners”
I have been staying in this hotel for 2 times. When the first time I saw this hotel, I was not impressed, because from out side, it's not look like a good hotel. But when I did enter the room, I was amazed by it cleanliness. The hotel also provide free wifi and free airport pick up and drop. The price is amazingly cheap (value for money)...

We stayed for one night before an early flight and actually when we arrived we would have been happy to stay longer. From arriving everything was brilliant. Lovely staff member who checked us in and allowed us to book the free car ride to the airport at 5am. The room was lovely, really clean, bottles of water, aircon. We loved the decor! We had a meal in the restaurant which was great value for money. The owner Michael introduced himself to us and we had a good chat- he told us he had built the hotel himself! We had an early breakfast as well. Sadly we didn't have longer at this hotel to enjoy more of the facilities like the pool. Would definitely recommend

My group of 8 stayed here for 2 nights. Near airport with free airport pickup. Hotel is finely designed by the owner. Clean comfortable rooms, Friendly staff. Owner did a few hours city tour with us and we really have fun. The kitchen serves local and western food.. Value for money.

Unique hotel, wifi in the room, friendly staff, free drop off to airport, the roof top restaurant with nice view. Need to be improved is the breakfast room. It was hot, no windows and seems like AC didn't work properly.
