Brand New Hotel”

The hotel was clean & have comfort room. The location quite strategic, but heavy traffic every morning (rush hour). It was easy to find mini market near by hotel. Limited parking area, unhelpfull security or parking man - must to help yourself. Reception didn't tell you to stamp your parking ticket, so you must pay for parking. Overall, Gunawangsa MERR's a good hotel. May visit next time.

gym is not facility for guest room”

disapointed with gunawangsa merr, because on the web written gym as hotel facilities, but when I want to workout in the gym (urban gym), I refused to go in, the receptionist said the gym only for members, not for guests. I confirmed to the hotel front desk twice, and it turns out, gym facilities are not included. I think gunawangsa Merr has gym facilities as gunawangsa manyar (although each entry to the gym should ask for a voucher). Between written with reality are not the same

Good Budget Hotel near airport(30-40 minutes)”

Good budget hotel in south of Surabaya. Stay here if you just need to sleep.

very worth the price”

i got a special deal (around 350.000 rupiah per night), and for its price, my room is so worth it.. the location is far from town centre, but it is close to my relatives's house, so its ok for me.. room is clean, and bed is comfy.. too bad, no refrigerator

Not quite ready for business”

Stayed for 2 nights in 3rd week of May 2016. Hotel was supposed to be opened in April. Room tv connection was not setup and I had to call reception to get it fixed. Even then, only 4 cable channels (hbo, cinemax, nat geo and star sports). The rest were Indonesian channels. On my final day there, the tv signal went off totally. WiFi connection in room was terrible. It goes off every minute and speed was slow. Very disruptive to my work. Breakfast was basic local fare and little variety. Definitely no international/continental breakfast spread. Dining hall had only 6 tables. No room meal service. There is a gym and outdoor pool but the gym is not ready yet and pool seems to be out of bounds to hotel guests (only the condominum apartment residents can use the pool). This hotel has much to improve on. Poor location (unless wanting to go to Rungkut industrial area) and nothing in the vincinity. Only saving grace is the friendly hospitality staff. Will not return again.

-The housekeeping staff wasn't able to contact at night ( 10 to 12 pm) - The receptionist staff was very kind - The pool staff was annoying, when I'm in a middle of swimming he asked me what unit am I (why he didn't trust me anyway..?!!) But he didn't ask the other guest.. very annoying - The room is quite clean

Exceptional”

The food taste is not that good and less variation.. Room is clean, service is good but wifi is very Slow, sometimes is hard to connect. Recomended to stay.

Good but need little improvement”

Mostly its fine. The executive room is nice. But the movie channel is not many variant, and I saw house lizard (cicak) poop on the window so you could improve the cleanliness. But overall is good. The staff is polite and full of smile.

i use to stay in this hotel since they open few years ago every times i go to surabaya. at that time room are taking care very good. but now everything worst. bed sheet dirty, no change from previous guess, pillow are bad. even worst from your pillow at home. toilet dirty. room are very smelly and broken chair. suppose i stay for 5 night but change to other hotel next day. staff are not friendly anymore. breakfast not good at all. i will not return to this hotel anymore. please find others hotel rather than stay in this hotel. you will regret and not worth it for the money you spend. my personal value for this hotel are 1:10. ..hope the management will upgrade the facilities in the room for future value. now your hotel are low standard than cheap hotel like Airy , OYO or red doorz. ...thank you.
