Convenient and luxurious ”

Second time staying in the M Gallery by Sofitel where in also had few nights' stay in Milan months ago. Recently renovated in a formerly tea house, the boutique hotel has a unique taste and class while sitting on the vivid Queen Street. Welcomed by their specially brewed tea and sincere conversation, I was kindly upgraded for the first night's stay and my other requests had been taken which is to move to a slightly higher floor. Knowing the history of the place with nice decor (and the jewel collection photos )and seeing the teapot set in the rooms, one would easily be travelling back into time and get nostalgic especially as you step into the elevator. Comfortable bed and decently spaced bathroom that would not disappoint. Their restaurant on the first level next to reception is definitely worth trying. Memorable stay at Auckland which is our first encounter in New Zealand. Thank you (the Sofitel team)for all your effort in keeping our stay special! gym and sauna available

Impeccable and sympathetic service as usual”

This is my second stay at Grand Windsor and it is also my second time I extended my stay. I felt safe and looked after the first time and even more so the second round. I asked for a quiet and sunny room to work and rest and that is exactly what I got, the room service was on point even when the writing hunger pang stroke after midnight, lovely restaurant, impeccable room and service as always. Thank you Chris and Grand Windsor team for my wonderful stay. Special thanks to Luciano who ensured I can change to run and then freshen up even when I was without a room yet, Dji and Jake who went above and beyond to address the unexpected external noise issue, Paula who organised the armchair swap so I can write with back support, and Dhawal who ensure the right room was booked. It's tricky having Grand Windsor Hotel as my benchmark now, nothing else compared! Anyway, I am looking forward to the next stay - next year I hope, so I'd better start saving! Thank you again.

So lovely and brilliant location”

I loved walking out of the hotel to busy Auckland, yet I didn't hear any city noises from my room. The room was very very tiny (not really anywhere to unpack), but the bathroom was a good size and the location and staff made up for the small size. Heating worked exceptionally well too. Thanks Windsor!

Very good”

The hotel team members were very helpful from pre-booking to check out (Guru was the person that happened to answer most of my queries - pre and post booking). They answered all of my questions patiently and looked after me very well. As soon as I arrived, I was made to feel at ease and very welcomed. I came from hospitality background, so I usually either feel slightly uncomfortable when being "over-serviced" or miffed when there is a lack of quality service. None of that exists here. No pretentious friendliness; just good proper hospitality. The hotel is finishing the last bits of their renovation, so those who are staying while renovation is still in progress need to be realistic of the occasional construction noises. Having said that, construction seems to be programmed considerately during working hours only. The room that I stayed in, Superior Queen, was beautifully renovated and very clean. Love the delicate touches from the selection of bedding and china to how the safe is incorporated nicely into the wardrobe joinery. Will be sure to come and stay again at The Grand Windsor Hotel the next time I am at Auckland. Thank you Renato and team for helping to make my "very overdue pause" a lovely one.

2 nights in Bliss”

I stayed two nights at the Hotel Grand Windsor and absolutely loved my experience. We were greeted on arrival by the door man who parked our car for us, were given complementary ice tea on arrival and had a seamless check in. The room was wonderful, a bit small but none the less was really clean and comfortable. We had booked breakfast for both mornings, the first was pretty average but the second morning was delish! I even requested another one of the ice tea's that we had on arrival and they made it up for me again which was great service. The location of the hotel was also great, close to the ferry and walking distance from great bars and restaurants. I will definitely stay again.

Stunning service”

Stunning service! Especially is the receptions and front door staff. Very helpful and felt very welcome. Great location! Otherwise, In the restaurant of hotel, We had the breakfast for 2 morning. When we check-out on the last day, we were told that I will pay the extra fare of the breakfast sides. But we really not been informed at that time it will be charged extra fare by restaurant service stuff when we order the extra sides. After that, I told the reception what happened, and with suggestion for informing to customers before charged. Unexpectedly she reduced the extra fare as my suggestion. Really appreciate that and will stay in Grand windsor next time!

Lovely hotel with friendly staff, beautiful decor and superb location.”

When I arrived at the Hotel Grand Windsor, our room wasn't quite available yet and the reception offered a couple of complimentary drinks at the restaurant. Staff are very professional and also friendly - the room is really gorgeous and well-maintained. You also don't hear the noise from the street at all, which makes for excellent sleep at night. I would certainly come back again. The breakfast is cooked-to-order, alongside the good continental spread.

Far away from home but feel like home”

From the first time entry the hotel, staff at the concierge was so helpful and help me with my luggage and stuff. Jenny at the reception was so friendly and nice, restaurant food and service was perfect and don’t forget order the prawn risotto, i’m still craving for the risotto. Book the junior suite room and it really pay off after long flight from singapore. Thx to Mr Nivzer the manager, jenny at reception, all other staff that i can mention one by one. Looking forward to stay at windsor.

Value for money”

Absolutely one of the best hotels I have stayed at, great value for money, amazing staff (who are extremely attentive). If you are uncertain where to stay in Auckland dont look past this property its the best choice I have made to date!

We have enjoyed our stay”

We had stayed there when we arrived in Auckland but we had noisy issue. The issue has been informed to the staff n they have made 2nd stay perfect! The breakfast there is so delicious as well!

Location is perfect Staffs are also friendly but it’s in Auckland CBD so if you stay on weekend, some noise.. And some stuff wasn’t provided

Perfect place to stay in Auckland”

The location of this hotel is just superb. Very near the boardwalk where all the action is. This is on Queen St. where a lot of shops and cafes are located. Staff are very helpful from the concierge to the ones manning the reception area. Breakfast was also excellent, though not too many selection but it worked for me and my wife. Only downside for us was the breakfast box we requested. We already prepaid our breakfast upon booking but we had to leave the hotel at 6 am to join a tour. I requested a day before that we will be leaving early to join a tour and that we will not be able to use the full breakfast meal we paid. They only gave us two pieces of danish pastries and a cup of mixed fruit. Very disappointing coz they could have prepared sandwhiches and put more stuff in the box or converted the value of the buffet breakfast to dinner instead. Points to ponder upon by management.

Strategic location, clean and comfy room”

My stayed for 2 nights was wonderful. Warm welcome from hotel staff upon check in. Welcome drink and hot towel provided while waiting for my turn to check in. Hotel located at The Central of queenstreet, spacious and clean room and comfy bed. Limited choice of breakfast but the taste are good. Difficult to get parking if you are renting a car, limited parking slot, (take us some time to look for carpark before check in), hotel doesn’t have own carpark which is slight inconvenient for us who rent a car. Hotel do provide us complimentary tickets at britomart Carpark (8 minuets walking distance from hotel )with NZD 30/night (to pay at concierge) or NZD 40/ night with valet service, I parked my car at Victoria street carpark (10 minuets walking distance from hotel)which is NZD 20/night. Hotel staff who greet me home when coming back to room after long day make me feel warm and welcome. Overall I am happy and enjoy throughout my stay, cherry on the cake is the free sauna 🤗

Excellent location”

Hotel is in the city center and near the skycity airport bus stop. Room has high ceiling and bathroom is spacious. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great value for money!”

I recently stayed in Hotel Grand with my partner and family - an "A star" experience, service and all round hotel. Staff were extremely attentive at all times! The only thing I had hope for was a bath tub, however all rooms have showers only.

Renovations are very impressive”

I have stayed at this hotel twice now and both times were while the lobby was still being renovated, so lots of mess on the ground floor. The rooms that have been finished are very impressive as they have gone for luxurious finishes. My only criticism would be around some of the small finishing touches that are missing, such as nowhere to put soap or shampoo in the shower, except on the floor, or by the handbasin. Staff were helpful and the location is great, right in the middle of Queen St, so within easy walking distance of shops, eating places and the Sky Tower.

An Exquisite Hotel in Auckland Central”

It is a exquisite property located in the middle of the city. Within in 10-minute radius, you reach cafes, good restaurants, ferries and shops, convenient and relatively quiet. Location is not overly busy standing above restaurants and bars, therefore, you can get some good sleep. Certainly, this convenient location sacrifices the harbour view which we are OK with it. We spent 3 nights in Junior Suite on a quiet top floor , recovered from a hectic week travelling in South Island. A very nice big bed, the smell, and delicate decor are perfect for the stay. Make-to-order breakfast is totally a plus! Staff are helpful and friendly, never need to ask twice for assistance. We always like a luxury boutique hotel and this is just another good one. We enjoyed our stay and happy to recommend if you like a little indulgence during holidays.

Fabulous location, beautifully refurbished”

The staff were fantastic, had a good sense of humor and able to have a laugh with you. They were always happy to accomodate with any requests or questions we had. The 2 bedroom apartment was clean, and very comfortable. Slept well during our stay. We were a party of four, but noticed the room was set up for a party of two. Our requests for extras of everything were very quickly met. The clean on the second day was not the best and only replaced the towels enough for two again, but the service desk was very quick to remedy this with a quick phone call. Only mildly disappointing but in no way detracted from our stay. The apartment was on the top floor facing Queen Street. The noise of a very busy night life did reach us at the top but nothing we couldn't handle, taking into consideration that we were in the heart of it all, right where we wanted to be. Location is excellent! Fort street two doors down, the quay only a few minutes walk away. Your right in the heart of the best restaurants, bars and shopping. Parnell close by, the park above you and ponsonby a 20 minute walk.
