Rooms larger than expected, well-furnished & clean”

the front desk staff were really helpful, providing us with maps and suggestions for where to go. there was a lift in the hotel so bringing our baggage up was not a problem. i expected smaller rooms for the price so we were very pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms and how well-furnished and well-lit they were. the huge lcd tv screen and ample channels was also a nice surprise. we watched the entire 'the graduate' even though we didn't understand a word of french.

Quiet and convenient hotel near Perrache station; the Perrache station at two entrances / exits so not easy to know where to leave this station to go to the hotel; For info: you must go out "Cours de Verdun", and the hotel is on the right in the continuity of the pink buildings, you have to go down the stairs of the slope. Very good staff

Our stay was nice. The hotel is next to the Perrache station and provided very easy access to the main attractions in Lyon.

Convenient location, close to station”

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel de Normandie. The hotel was close to the station and a nice walk from the centre of town. The rooms were clean and a good size. The reception staff were also very helpful.

I have been staying 2 weeks for work art his hotel. The room is very good for the price. The bedding is comfortable and nice, bathroom is spacious and the whole hotel is really clean. Perfect choice on a budget

good location but small rooms with no ac”

i stayed 6 nights at hotel normandie, it especially was very easy to locate, about 1 minutes walk to the garre perrache. the room was really small with no ac, which made it hard to sleep some nights. the staff was friendly. for a single traveller the price was ok.

The hotel was not far from the hotel. Also near to the centre of Lyon. Lots to do and see. Would recommended for a short stay.

Location is good and not expensive”

Feel very safe especially when I just walked out of the metro station and I could see Hotel Normandie at once. The bed is comfortable but the pillow seems too soft for me. And the staff there are quite nice.

Excellent Location”

Excellent Location. Clean Rooms. Great Facilities. The lady staff during the day was kind enough to let us leave our luggages in the lobby so that we could enjoy walking around without them. She even guided me to the must-visit places in the city which were very helpful. Would recommend this hotel to others. The guy who was in charge of the night shift was a bit rude though. That's why only 4 stars for the staff.

Perfect Location”

This hotel is very close to Perrache Station so if you need to travel by bus, tram & train, it is very convenient. It is also not so far away to places like Victor Hugo & Bellecour. The staff is helpful and the room is always clean.

Small but nice hotel.”

This hotel is quite small but nice enough. Near station. A bit confusing to find the first time. Near station, but safe enough. Room and bathroom are a bit small but look quite new and clean. TV in room. A bit of a walk to city center, and sights. One of the staff is extremely nice and helpful to me.

Excellent value for money due to the location in front of Perrache railway station. Hotel is simple (no AC for instance) but room and facilities are well maintained. Excellent housekeeping. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Centrally located hotel with clean rooms”

This hotel is barely 2 minutes walk to the tram/metro/SNCF/bus station (Perrache). TCL info office is just right on the way, you will be sufficiently informed about the transport options wherever you want to go. It is a 2 star hotel so do not expect too much things: fancy meals, swimming pool, room service etc. If you are only looking for a comfortable room, fast internet then this should be the one to book. Only 1 suggestion, not to take the hotel breakfast, which comes as 8euro per day. It is not worth it.

Friendly staff”

The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the train station (not the main train station). It is close to the main shopping area and mall, and close to many restaurants and cafes, and within walking distance to many attractions. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is well equipped with good Wifi connection, however, the hotel rooms are old and have no air conditioning. One disappointment was that we originally booked for a single room through Agoda at a discounted rate, but when we arrived there, the staff did not allow us (2 persons) to stay in a single room, and wanted us to rebook into a double room with full rate. But the Agoda website clearly indicates that single room is available for 2 persons. Therefore, we ended up paying more.

Hotel for a city trip”

The hotel is great for a city trip where you only sleep in the hotel. However, the hotel walls are thin and other hotel guests may wake you up in the night.

worth to stay”

Clean and comfortable but difficult to find. cheap and the corridor is elegant. near the trambus, just 2 mins to the station. Free wifi. both the room and bathroom are a bit small.

we was spend 2 nights in Lyon. The hotel is clean and staffs are very friendly and helpful. But the area around is not good. A lot of gangs gathering around all night with sceaming and drinking
