good hotel, helpfull staff, clean and big rooms, ”
we spent 2 night in Medan and if I'll come back I'll book again at Hotel Citi International Sunyatsen, the room was clean and big with a great view of the city from the big vindow. the staff was very helpfull. the pick up service at the airport is a very good service, we arrived late at 10pm snd the driver was waiting for us.

You can easily reach anywhere in Medan from this hotel. You can ask the hotel to help you call Bluebird taxi for your hotel. Or you can also hail one just by stepping outside the hotel. The breakfast is unbelievably varied and delicious. Even vegans can easily find their own heavens. Outstandingly Medanese cuisine indeed! Superb! You should definitely try the lontong sayur, lupis, and kwetiao! The nicest thing is we get to eat plenty of bananas! They provide free airport transfers so be sure to ask them about it. The water is rather smelly--metallic taste to be precise. You cannot adjust the Air-con to Dry Mode--Only cool mode available. The staff are friendly. What I dislike most is that even though they put up NO SMOKING sign, people can still smoke anywhere inside the building, in the aisle, exit ways, etc. It is kind of annoying that nonsmokers have to move away simply to avoid smokes. But the rooms are managed quite nice that the smokes next doors hardly bother us. You can only use wifi in the lobby area on 4th floor. It would be nice if we could connect to wifi in our own room. The views are splendid. The water flow is a bit inconsistent. The hot water is especially metallic and the odor is rather unpleasant. The room service does not really clean the floor of your room that meticulously as you normally would expect. But at this price, I must say I am quite satisfied. I don't know if the pillow cases and duvet cases are changed daily but I do not like the odd fragrance. Overall, I feel it is still acceptable. Remember to keep the hotel namecards with you. They provide a map there so you can easily point out to others when necessary.

Old but with good services and facilities”
i flew to medan at midnight but the hotel shuttle bus had been waiting for me. each floor there was a big lobby and the room was big with all basic facilities. price was low and the counter staff was very helpful. the hotel gave me a surprise of low price with everything all right. highly recommend to stay with budget price.

I recently stayed at the Citi International. Very pleased with my stay, nice large rooms and very quiet. Very clean and the staff are most helpful. Free shuttle service to airport was a plus. The breakfast was a bit average but ok. Only trouble is Medan is such a boring place to visit, never again.

One of the best hotel in Medan. The staffs are very well trained! Check in is smooth. They provide complimentary shuttle to the airport as well. Breakfast is average. You can even use the internet for free at the lobby. For muslim, they even have the Kiblat direction in the hotel. The room is spacious and very comfortable.

Good Hotel”
The staff were very helpful, especially when I needed directions to get meals etc. I was also able to easily make arrangements for the free transport to the airport the next morning, despite it being at a very early hour. The free breakfast the next day was simple but adequate, and even though I had to leave very early for the airport, I was able to have a good breakfast before leaving. The ride to the airport was in a comfortable vehicle and the driver was friendly and polite. Overall great service, and I will stay here again if I ever return to Medan.

Budget hotel with big room”
i have stayed with several budget hotels in medan and so far, i think citi international offers the biggest room among others. it also provided a good view of medan, especially if you stay in top floor. the other plus point is they offer a free shuttle from and to the airport.

It was good and definitely worth the price since we were in a group of 10; 2 families. Staffs are friendly and very helpful. They arrange transportation around the city which makes the trip trouble free. We dislike the food in Medan due to cleanliness issues but there are varieties to try out. A very different yet pleasant trip.

citi international is one of my favourite budget hotel in medan, others are myhotel and hermes hotel. it has a good value for money and good location in the china town. you can easily find chinese food in jose rizal street. the room is also big.
