Very comfortable stay”

Airport pickup service was great, their driver Faisal was very courteous and managed to make a great impression by his running commentary about the city while we were driving. He'd definitely make a great tour guide, if he isn't one already. Check-in was fast, and they allowed me to check-in earlier than scheduled. After staying for 4 days, I checked into another hotel when they (Hotel Centro) couldn't accommodate my request for extension as they were booked for a conference over the weekend. Went back to Hotel Centro after 2 days stay in another resort hotel. It was no contest. I loved the buffet breakfast at Hotel Centro and I disagree with a previous comment that the food only appealed to Filipinos. I saw Australians, Koreans and Japanese guests enjoying the buffet breakfast. They have an egg station where you can specify how you wanted your eggs done. The fruits served were always fresh and sweet, I don't know how he even managed to say that the fruits were unripe. The bathroom toiletries were replenished every day, and I loved their shampoos/conditioners/body lotion. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows, and gave me a very restful sleep after a day of touring the city. Some people find the rooms at Hotel Centro a bit small, but for me, it was just fine. The housekeeping staff were very polite and accommodating, and there were times when they seemed friendlier than the front desk staff, in terms of greeting you whenever they pass you by the hallways and always ready to flash a genuine smile. I understand the hotel was pretty much booked to capacity during my stay, but the front desk people could learn a thing or two from their housekeeping staff in terms of grace under pressure. I find myself going to Puerto Princesa almost every year for my vacation, and I think I've found a home at Hotel Centro.

The best hotel accomodation in Puerto Princesa”

Upon arriving at Puerto Princesa I was a bit worried because I did not inform the hotel about our flight details and I did not request for an airport pick-up, however,I was surprised because the hotel van waited for us outside and even had our name in his list.John John Lim, the driver was so nice and accommodating and made us feel safe and comfortable of the place even if it was our first time in Puerto Princesa. The thing that I liked the most is the hotel's efficient, warm, outstanding and world-class services. They made us feel relaxed and comfortable as if we were staying in our own home. Thanks to John John Lim, Faizal and the Boholano boy at the COncierge. The room is just enough for us as we were only two in the room. The bathroom amenities are also good. Breakfast is good but needs plenty of choices. I love the hotel interior and the pool. All in all, I would stay there again if I have future trips to Puerto Princesa, as for me, this is the best hotel Puerto Princesa could offer.

Pleasant stay”

Hotel location is near in PPIA, Robinsons Palawan and souvenir stores. Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Our room was maintained clean and also suitable for toddlers. Food was good and service was very accommodating too. Amenities like swimming pool, wifi, hot & cold showers, airport transfers are available. We would love to stay again in this hotel once we’re back in Puerto Princesa. Thank you Hotel Centro :)

Paradise in the middle of the city”

Hotel Centro is a 10-15 minute drive from the Puerto Princesa Airport. We arrived early in the morning and was allowed an early check-in for a fee. But we didn't mind the early check-in fee since the hotel staff treated us well during our stay at Hotel. Staff members were very courteous and helpful. Food during our buffet breakfast was okay but can be improved. The hotel is clean. Hotel room (Deluxe) was small for a group of 3 but the beds were comfortable enough to give us a good night's sleep. All in all, we recommend Hotel Centro as your hotel in Puerto Princesa.

Valuable stay at Centro”

Good location. Close to the airport and shopping center. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Centro hotel was able to fulfilled all of my requests even we request to change our room 3 times until we have the room that we are happy to stay in. Centro hotel also provide breakfast with our strict diatary requirements. The bed brings us a good sleep after a long tired travel day on tours. Centro hotel provides the quilt/comforter for free which I know that some other hotels would charge me if I request to have a quilt/comforter. Overall, I would choose to stay at Centro hotel If I come back to Puerto Princesa city. Worth my money.

Very Good hotel, Good Customer Service”

The hotel was very clean and in good ambiance. I like the services of hotel staff, as they are always available every time you call or asked them. The hotel staff threat you with high regard from the time you arrived from the airport. The food are elegant and well cooked. Hotel centro is a 4 star hotel but the customer felt like you were in a five star hotel. I will recommend the hotel centro to my friends and I will again stay in Hotel centro if I have a chance to visit again puerto princesa.

My parents and I stayed for 3 days and 4 nights. Overall experience was good. The hotel is definitely one of the better ones in Puerto Princesa. It's not extremely fancy but it's still a great hotel to stay in if the look/ambience of a hotel is important to you. They also have free airport transfers. What I liked best about Hotel Centro was that they were efficient with booking our tours. They would also notify us the night before what time the tour van would be picking us up the next morning. Hotel Centro is just a 5 minute walk from the Robinson's Mall (the only mall in PP) and a 10-15 minute ride to the airport. It's also very near Ka Lui (most popular resto in PP) and the souvenir shops. The rooms are small, though. My family stayed in a Deluxe Room and it was tiny! But it was okay with us. I think the only negative things about Hotel Centro are that (1) the airconditioner in the room was extremely noisy (but we are used to it, so it wasn't a problem), and (2) sometimes, the staff forget that they have already charged us for something - dinner/the tours/etc. But we just have to remind them that we already paid for them and the problem is solved immediately.

Top quality staff and customer service!”

From the moment we set foot in the Hotel Centro we received top class customer service. Staff were so polite and helpful at all times. The Guest Services Manager introduced himself on check-in and gave us a full assurance that if we had any requests he would personally assist us. Rooms were really clean with a lovely comfortable bed and good air-con (we received a free upgrade). The buffet breakfast was really great with plenty of choice. A nightly barbecue is available in the outdoor dining area each evening. Bathroom is very functional and toiletries are provided. The pool and surrounding area was absolutely excellent. The main lobby is relaxed, with comfortable sofas for chilling out on. The staff were a delight, helpful and friendly at all times. Staying at Hotel Centro was actually the highlight of our trip to Palawan, we loved it so much. Top level facilities and customer service at an affordable price. We will definitely return.

Excellent Experience”

An excellent experience. Stayed for 6 nights. In retrospect, choice to stay at Centro was better than staying at a beach resort. Better facilities at a reasonable price. This was confirmed in discussions with other travelers whom I met on the day tours. Hotel Centro is a very clean, modern, 4-star hotel with excellent dining. Staff training and support was excellent. Days tours to underground river, Honda Bay and City Tour offer an excellent and affordable way to see the tourist attractions. Would definitely return to Hotel Centro Palawan on my next visit and will recommend hotel to family and friends.

High-end Hotel in Puerto Princesa”

the hotel centro is one of the higher-end, more expensive hotels in puerto princesa city proper, but you do get what you paid for. the rooms are clean and spacious enough (for two people - we made the mistake of getting a room for three, it turned out to be far too crowded), and since the hotel's fairly new, the furnishings (bathroom included) were in excellent order. the breakfast was also quite good, a sizable buffet spread with the main dishes varying every morning. the hotel features a well-sized pool and a gym. i used neither, but they seemed to be in good condition.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”

my stay in puerto princessa was very unexpected, it was a very last minute adventure. i was very fortunate that i was able to get our accommodations at hotel centro. hotel centro is very near the airport (bout 15 min away) and is one of the newest hotels at the island. service in the hotel is also fantastic and all the attendants always serve with a smile. if you are to go to puerto princessa please go to the following tours: 1. under ground river 2. honda bay island hopping 3. city tour. i was also very fortunate that hotel centro was also able to assist me with the bookings of the above mentioned tours.

Friendly Staff, Value for Money”

Hotel Centro is a good place to stay at in Palawan -- close to the city center (just a tricycle away) and within walking distance to the biggest shopping mall in Puerto Princesa City. There is a tricycle terminal outside the hotel where you can hire tricycles to take you anywhere. Downside though is that the tricycles seem to charge higher when they learn you are staying there. The only issue that we had was the first night where we had to endure with no hot water. The water heater had reset itself or something so it wasn't heating up water. A call to the front desk the following day resolved the issue quite quickly, with a service person knocking at our room door within 10 minutes of our call. He fixed the water heater and we were on our way having hot showers. Overall, Hotel Centro's a good hotel to stay at -- for the price we paid, it was good value. We had a buffet breakfast everyday during our stay, free airport transfers, and the staff were very nice and accommodating.

Location is great, facilities a little outdated”

We stayed there for 2 nights and my first impression was i was a reglar hotel, nothing really spectacular, we got a double standard room, but we ask if there is a room that is twin and they immediately accomodated us. Staff are courteous and nice, service was very fast. And the food at thier restaurant (expressions cafe) was so delicious. One thing i can comment on is the hotel is a bit outdated, but it was a great hotel overall. They gave us extra pillows, a bucket of ice without charge! The beds are comfortable and the aircon is working great. But puerto princesa has manu mosquitos in general, not only in this hotel but also, in other places. So better bring off lotion. They have a van for pickup and drop off for free

nice hotel that had problems with the wi fi”

the centro is a nice western style hotel that featured all of the western amenities that i expected. the only knock that i had on the hotel was that the wi fi in the room did not very well. other than that, the restaurant offered a full menu of both western and local choices with room service available. the massage service was spot on, and the pool offered a full service bar and restaurant service. if i was to return to palawan i would stay again at the centro. one other thing is that there is a new mall called robinsons close to the hotel which has all of the major stores that one would expect in a new mall.

Loved this place”

we arrived at 5:45 AM at the Puerto Princesa airport and we were met by the hotel shuttle (we arranged for a tour guide but he was late). The driver was very courteous and gave us a ride to the hotel. One of our companion was sick and the hotel staff let us check-in early and they waived the fee. A staff from the restaurant came over and asked our sick companion if she needed any food, soup or hot drink. The rest of us joined the tour and when we got back, our friend was already feeling well. She told us that the staff were very concerned about her condition, so they kept tabs on her if she needed anything. In all our travels, I have never seen a more courteous, hospitable, knowledgeable and caring staff. And they also have the sweetest smiles. We love those guys!!!!!!

Impressive Hotel ”

When we first rocked up to the hotel we were greeted and were given a glass of fresh juice which we thought was welcoming and made to feel relaxed.The rooms were very impressive and the beds were perfected.When you first arrive at the airport and if you take a tricycle to the hotel dont let the driver take you to book for adventures in Palawan because the hotel supplies all your needs and the prices are the same everywhere. The food at the hotel wasnt the best but not much variety offered. At night we would sit around the bar by the pool which was very relaxing and the bartender Ryan was brillant and always made sure we had drinks, so make sure you tip him he does a exceelent job...Thanks Ryan....Overall the hotel i would stay there again when i go back to Palawan...

Great Hotel in good location”

My wife and I stayed at hotel Centro for three nights and we had a pleasant stay ,Only small problem was the wifi signal in our room , maybe because we were right at the end of the range but it was not really a big issue. On arrival we were greeted by freindly staff and a free drink and our check in with quite quick ,The room was a standard double room which was a little small but cosy for us ,We asked for a fridge which was no problem and no extra charge. The front desk was great with organization of our tours even tho we booked late it was no problem. We both loved the pool for a relaxing swim after our day trips and enjoyed the garden grill for dinner which was a little pricey but we'll worth it . Transport was easy and Robinsons was just down the road about 1km or less you could get a tricycle or walk . The free buffet breakfast was like many other Filipino breakfast menu's, And when I found nothing to my taste the kitchen staff were more the happy to make some bacon and eggs which was great . This was our first at hotel Centro and it will not be the last ,I do recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying there again.

Easy, Light and Fun Adventure”

We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Centro because it is near the Robinson's Mall and it is easy to get a tricycle accredited by the Hotel which we rode going to Baker's Hill and Mitra's ranch. We were also able to observe Holy Thursday and Friday by joining the Visita Iglesia and Pilgrimage Tour which the Hotel arranged for the guests. The service van was a Toyota Grandia which made our tour very convenient. Even when it drizzled a little, our tour guide provided us with umbrellas during our Visita Iglesia. We were given enough time to explore the place. The Hotel is also just a walking distance away from the Robinson's mall. The hotel is also accessible to Baywalk park and souvenir shops. The Hotel has a small souvenir shop, a gym and spa although we did not avail of its service so much. The breakfast buffet is good although there is not much variety in the food choices. The hotel is clean and modern for a provincial location. The water in the Hotel's pool is warm at all times so it's relaxing to dip your tired feet after a day's tour or early in the morning to catch the morning sun. If you are a beach lover, then Hotel Centro may not be that interesting for you because it is situated at the heart of the city. But the Hotel can arrange for you an island hopping tour in El Nido if you want to experience the beach and island sight seeing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Hotel Centro.

Hotel exceeded expectations.”

our group of eleven people all enjoyed our stay in the hotel. the hotel has very nice and cozy interior. the staff are very friendly (aside from being good-looking)and efficient. the rooms we stayed in are nicely furnished, complete with refrigerator, safe, hairdryer, and coffee pot and free bottles of water. the coffee shop serves good food and the waiters are courteous and well trained in table presentation. will definitely stay in this hotel again in our next visit to puerto princesa.

great hotel with professional staff. we stayed 2 nights at the beginning of our trip so we could see the underground river. be sure to book in advance with the hotel as they only have a certain amount of tickets for each day. the pool is great for relaxing with a nice bar located pool side. the complimentary breakfast is great and they offer affordable buffets for lunch and dinner. airport transfer is also provided. highly recommended if you need to stay in puerto princesa.
