LOVE IT”

This is my first visit of this hotel. What I can say about Hotel 88 Embong Malang is - The room was clean - Right in the centre of the city - The staffs were friendly - The foods were delicious And what I didn't like was the slow Internet connection. Over all it was a 8 out of 10.

Comfortable and value for money”

We were visiting our friends in Surabaya and Malang. Stayed only for 1 night as we were leaving for Malang the next day. Usually don't go for budget hotels, but we just needed a place to stay for 1 night before we leave for Malang. Definitely recommend you to upgrade to Deluxe room, just $5 difference (went during off peak) and the room is 6m^2 bigger. Makes a lot of difference. Especially if you have a luggage. Receptionist English is good. Hotel is new, good for short stays. Breakfast wasn't good. I just had rice and their spicy vegetable soup with their coffee. Bed was very comfortable. There were 2 to 3 powerpoints, enough for 2 pax. Toilet is basic size. They provide toothbrush ammenities as well.

Excellent”

One of the best 2-star hotels in Surabaya. Situated in the heart of Surabaya CBD. Close to Tunjungan Plaza Shopping Mall and BG Junction. Many food stalls at Jl. Kedungdoro can be reached on foot, since it's just across the street. The bedroom is comfortable, even though I got a windowless bedroom. But it depends on what room type you choose anyway. The wifi internet connection runs well. What I love most is the breakfast. It's located in 10th floor. Guess what? A superb panoramic Surabaya city is accompanying while you're enjoying your breakfast. Furthermore, the variety of breakfast is thumbs up. I never believe this is a 2-star hotel. With it's less pricey, definitely it's really worth the money. I can't wait to return on my next visit.

Recomended for business traveller”

Hotel 88 located in the the center of Surabaya, walking distance to the biggest mall in Surabaya and have a lots of food near the hotel. So, with this price and get that kind of room, it was quite cheap. So if you a budgeted business traveler, i recommend you to stay here.

Unexpected budget hotel”

The location is really great, near a lot of attractions in surabaya city. The breakfast is good as I dont expect that they will provide such a complete breakfast in this budget hotel. The staff is really helpful. Once I asked about breakfast earlier as my flight was 8.00 AM and they mentioned that it will be prepared early on 5.30 and definitely like what they said. Definitely consider to go back here again when I visit Surabaya for leisure or business.

Value hotel, nice to stay here”

Hotel 88 is located in the center of the city of Surabaya and the hotel staff is quite friendly. Although the room at the hotel is bit smaller, but its quite clean and comfortable to stay. Breakfast at this hotel is quite satisfactory with some traditional menu of Eastern Java. At overall this hotel can be recommended as a place to stay with reasonably priced.

Nice, centrally located hotel”

Hotel 88 location is very strategic in the center of Surabaya, within walking distance to Tunjungan Plaza and other place of interests (Rawon Setan, BG Junction, Empire Palace). In-room wi-fi was incredible & very reliable. Free coffee & tea in the lobby is a very nice touch.

Delicious breakfast”

#good location ... near Jalan Tidar where you can find many restaurants. I recommended Ayam Pemuda. #nice staff and very helpful. #delicious breakfast. #I booked deluxe room and big enough for 3 people although the bathroom is small and a bit slippery. Just need a bit careful. #easy to find taxi because orenz taxi always there. Orenz taxi is one of the good taxi in Surabaya

Pleasant stay”

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights for the city trip at Surabaya. Well, this hotel getting popular and while we checked-in it was quite late and they only can offer us twin bed, well not really a good choice since we just got married. The elevator is quite high tech, with a soft touch of your thumb you may go to your dedicated floor. Well the room itself is pretty cool, nice air-conditioning, new bed and mattress, no unpleasant odor. The room design is pretty simple yet have modern design. I can watch several international TV channel including HBO and Sports as well as local channel. The room does have limited power plug.

Good price and good service. Clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly. I'd recommend to travelers who'll visit Surabaya city because it's in a good location to go anywhere nearby the city.

Very strategic location”

I haven't set any expectation for small 2 stars hotel, since you will get for what you paid. I have been told that the hotel just opened on last May and pretty new. I got the room which I think the brand new one, because the smell of the paint is very strong. Fortunately it was only a night, aircon worked so well to omit the smell. No water boiled, but there is a dispenser outside the room so we could get the hot water to make coffee or tea. Slipper only 1 pair, no face or hand towel, no shower gel, but well, this is 2 stars hotel. Breakfast was average, but I love the sausage. The good thing I like from this hotel is, it is clean, they have hot water, spacious room for a good deal, staffs are young and need to be trained more. I love the location, nearby shopping mall, I love to jogging every morning surround the hotel location. Overall, not that very bad, but service should be improved.

Average room, small bathroom, central location”

Even tough hotel 88 is centrally located near the major shopping centre in Surabaya, The room is very standard. It doesn't have good ventilation. The bathroom is very small. However, if you look for budget hotel with good service I still highly recommend this hotel

Nice & affordable new hotel, really nice”

It's a nice new budget hotel, & it's located right in the center of Surabaya, near Tunjungan Plaza. Most important, it's not expensive. Very recommended.

Clean and Friendly staff”

it was great. i under expectation before i get the hotel. but i was wrong. the hotel is clean, centrally locates and the staff is very helpful. and the best thing is the hotel provide free coffe and the-24 hour-on the lobby. will comw again on my next trip to Surabaya

Great location, great breakfast, and comfy rooms”

Located near the centre of Surabaya, it was very easy to find foods near the hotel. The breakfast itself was great, and the rooms are actually quite comfortable.

Noisy hotel”

I slept for 2 nights at this hotel. Pros: relatively new hotel, good price, free wifi internet with average speed, fast check in + check out, location near local restaurants and mall, breakfast was average. Cons: staffs not too professional, narrow parking area, quiet at first night but noisy at second night (noisy noisy noisy same like 88 embong kenongo surabaya.)

Clean and clean hotel”

I stay in this hotel only for several hours. I checked in at 9 pm and have to checked out at 8 am in the following day. But i like to stay in this hotel because it is not far from train station and shopping mall. The restaurant placed on the 10 floor so we can see Surabaya from the top of the hotel building.
