Best hotels & accommodations in Suratthani

Opened about 1 year ago very new clean place. Quality bedding, sheets etc. Spacious rooms plenty of parking. We had a room with 2 doubles to accomadate our family but the price only included 2 Adults so they charged us an extra ฿370 for our nanny which included breakfast. When we called down for an extra pillow they wanted an additional ฿50 for that. They said the brea...

First I had to stay at the suratthani airport hostel for my flight but when I left I wanted to stay longer because I had very friendly and helpful people who satisfy all kinds of my needs, room and toilet are clean with warm water for shower, air conditioner, free airport transfer, offered water coffee and other stuff...basically all you need for a pleasant stay!

Great location, as it is literally at the end of the airport street. You could walk there in about 10 minutes, however they offer a ride! And since I came in late and there were no food places open in the airport or on the road, they took me to 7/11 before dropping me off at hostel. I was given a bottle of water at arrival too. Coffee/tea free, no breakfast. One bathr...

Cheap, clean and close to the airport. $6 taxi ride or a 25 minute walk.... justbdont follow google maps..... leaving the airport at the end of the road make a right, 400 meters look for the 7/11 and gas station. There is no real food in the area other than a food court and 7/11. 7/11 does not sell beer but the hotel does for about $1.25.... food court sucks!

Traveler impressions of Suratthani
A simple town not polluted by the commercials yet. You hardly meet any Thai people who can speak English.
Surat Thani is very much a stop over city. Especially for vegetarians, it is a bit difficult to find food here.
It is ideal place for stopover to koh samui as it is near to the Surat thani airport which has direct cheap flight from Malaysia Kl to Surat thani via airasia.
Average size city, busy during the day, relaxed at night. Small mall downtown, bug mall just outside town limits.
We stayed in Surat Thani purely because we had to catch a train from here at 1am in the morning on our way to Malaysia.
Not a city with abounding in attractions but with local knowledge or reading up, there is enough to interest for two or three days.
being the largest province of the South Thailand, this place has been well know among the travelers for transiting to Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, and the Mu Koh Ang Thong Marine National Park.
The province which you can stop for relax before go the other place or stay for 3-4 days for walking at night market, beach, eat out, canoeing, and others
There's a train bound to Bangkok from this city, unlike other places where you can only take the bus or the plane.
Kind of small city, not much to see. Nice place to stay for a night or two on a pass through. A couple monuments and temples around the city to see.
Mainly a 1-2 night stop over point for tourists heading to Koh Samui. Not really a whole lot to do here.
I was stay at the hotel just for short time but it was the second time for me because i really enjoy the stay there.
Not so many activity can be done at this town. There's Central Plaza but located bit far from town. There's no public transport after 9.
Very nice city. Many local places to eat. Many local places to buy anything you're looking for. Several modes of transportation available.
Typical city but with enough sights and facilities to be worth a touring visit. As a regular visitor, it serves all my needs.
The whole place is has been used as a stop for people traveling to the near by islands. If you have time and can avoid this place it would be recommended to either go to Krabi town or Ao Nang.
This town is quite unfriendly. I suggest only staying here to get to and from your ultimate destination.
Nothing spectacular, large city with some beautiful temples, good shopping malls, local shopping at reasonable prices and a high quality hospital.
This province is very famous for salted eggs ( Thai food). You must try. I really like it but have to eat with rice.
friendly people and most Thais speak and understand English. Visit the night market which is just 5 minutes away from the My Place Hotel.
You must try the seafood at the restaurant named Lumpoo 3, and the local Thai food at the restaurant named Lucky.
Suratthani is a rural area , not many attractive place to go, but the night market there have a lot of nice food.
It is a dead city and not much is going on, but lays between Dong ferry from Koh samui and suratthani airport, so located well for an overnight stay.
The night market at the city center got various choice of local Thailand food worth trying. The foods was great and the items that sells there are consider value for money.
If you need a stop over for the night. That is all. This place is not the kind of place where you can see good Thai politeness and hospitality.
can have a short trip at this place. I suggest visit oysters farm there and have an oysters lunch too.
Not much here for tourists. They are known for their foods, but this will probably be lost on anyone who hasn't been in Thailand very long to appreciate the nuances.
clean quiet city. Surprisingly shops close at 9pm to 9.30pm sharp. Lack of night activity. Night market is pretty quiet.
Quite a large city. Was only there 1 night and had some drinks around night market and food nearby but not sure I ever found the actual 'heart' of the city in terms of bars, pubs, etc Usually a stop off point for going elsewhere in Southern Thailand like the islands but a pleasant enough place to spend a day or two Head to the night market near the nightboar pier for cheap food and drinks
