Not the ritz... but....”

Not the rite, but it was clean and the staff were friendly and very Accommodating. Our cruise got in early and we got to the Gateway Inn way before check in time. They didn’t have any open rooms, but kept our luggage so we could go do something. We came back 5 hours later. Everything safe and sound. Pool area was actually quite nice. Room was clean. Area were the inn is a working class residential area. There is a bar close by that had live music.

The rooms are clean, comfortable bed, good wifi, (make sure you get a room near the office)good water pressure. Easy and fast check in and check out. The location is good, 10 minutes from the beach and central for my interests.I will stay again when i am in the area. One block off interstate 95, minutes from Miami and Fort Lauderdale,

Don’t let the outside deter you”

Just needed a place to sleep for a night while attending a wedding. Got a decent price, and was located right around the corner from the venue. Pulling up, was a little sceptical upon first glance, but the staff was so nice, and the room was really nice. It was clean, comfortable and decorated like you would expect from a higher priced hotel. It’s obviously an older building, but is very well maintained. Didn’t use the pool, so I cannot comment on that. Don’t bother with the continental breakfast, it was pretty much just coffee, orange juice and toast.

love this hotel! Stayed here many years ago when it was a Howard Johnsons and it was good then but now is even better and much cleaner! loved the swim pool! it had a roped off area for laps and that was great! the room was so clean and looked new! loved the carpet in it. so glad they had carpet and not the awful tile or wood flooring that so many hotels now have! carpet so much better! Staff was very kind and helpful. very clean hotel! can't wait to come back.

Good value for money”

The receptionist was friendly, most helpful and of course polite. Parking was easy. Unfortunately being so close to the major road, the double glazing did not deflect the noise- I was aware of the traffic , but fortunately that did not disturb my sleep. The coffee at reception was most welcome in the morning. Perhaps a vending machine selling odd snacks or drinks might be welcome. Basically the Inn is a suitable one- nighter, for tourists passing through.

Always Accommodating/Cant Complain”

I have stayed here several times and upon arriving the staff is always courteous and helpful. The rooms are clean and plenty of channels. Cant go wrong for the price paid. I will see them again soon

Hidden Gem”

This hotel was close enough from the train station that I walked to it. Easy check in, and easy check out. For being a low budget hotel I didn't hear nor see any issues like homeless people hanging out. Walked at night to get a bit to eat at Miami Subs a block away and had no issues or concerns about my safety! If ever in the area again I would stay at this hotel again!

Give it a BIG miss”

Awful place in an awful area. On the night we were there someone got shot at the junction no more than 100 yards away from the hotel, it made the news on TV. Looks like the pits from the outside, but clean in the room. Don't stay in the Hollywood area of Fort Lauderdale. Well overpriced for a war zone.

Cruising”

We found this hotel on line under the Best Western Hotel site.. we are very happy with it, easy to get to ,and close to the cruise parking site . The staff is very friendly, eager to help and the rooms were sufficient and clean as was the breakfast. We would return and recommend it to others.

Not what I expected”

Not what I expected but did its job. I needed a room for one night for a wedding. Literally check in.. Wedding.. Sleep.. Check out. If I had planned on a longer stay in the area, I would not book this inn. The inn was poorly maintained. The bathroom door didn't shut without a good slam but it didn't matter because the doorknob had been moved leaving a giant hole to see directly into the bathroom anyway. The ceiling looked like it was ready to fall. The cable was mostly static and in general the room smelled like body odor or Indian food. The econolodge looks like 5 star hotel after this place. So much for trying a locally owned place.

Staff was amazing and accommodating. Top rooms have balconies, bathrooms are big, clean rooms and up to date house keeping , location is not far from young circle and has food options walking distance so that’s a plus,

Decent hotel for the price. But don't expect much. ”

Pros. Reasonably priced. Fairly clean. Location was easy to get to places by car. Desk staff was friendly. Cons. Housekeeping never cleaned my room during my stay, despite me asking them multiple times - they told me wait in my room and they'll be right over, and still never showed up. The hallways smelled like weed most of the time (room smelled stale, but not like weed). Floor was sticky, I had to wear flip flops in room. Police were there twice for some domestic dusputes. There was garbage, including twisted metal in the parking lot, risking car/tire damage.

well there's not much to do in your room but you do it at least expect to have TV to watch there was no service it was nothing the girls at the front desk could do about it it so you're basically stuck in your room with nothing to watch because the TV service went out it's been over 12 hours and they still have not fixed the problem

it's a decent hotel for the price only problem is when it rains there's a little flooding in the parking lot of staff for great didn't spend a lot of time using the hotel facilities just to stay and go

Comfy”

The hotel looks just as the picture. If you are looking for just a place to sleep, then this is the place for that. The staff is kind and friendly and they have security at night to give that piece of mind. It is not a 5 star luxury hotel so don't expect that. The building can use a bit of updating, but its okay. Again don't expect a top notch hotel, other than that, it is great for a night away from home.

Staff is nice and place is silent. However do not expect a very luxury hotel. It's fonctional and the beds are good to sleep in. People are really nice there.
