Clean, comfortable, and near the train”
Rooms were clean and comfortable, and staff was very kind and responsive to our needs. Hotel rooms begin on the 16th floor, so you're guaranteed great views of the city; it's a little confusing to find the entrance but we were led to the front door with navigation tools. Merchandise Mart is across the street from this hotel, with access to Brown and Purple Lines on CTA.

Holiday Inn was great, but i booked thru Agoda and they did a horrible job”
Agoda drooped ball and I had to pay again at hotel lobby, Bcs Agoda never sent them or us confirmation. I tell you what they sure didn’t forget to charge me all the invoice. Two - Three outs on phone before I could get refunded back one of the charges

Excellent downtown location for tourists”
This is a great hotel for those on a brief tour to Chicago. You won't need a car as it is conveniently located by Chicago River within easy walking distance of most attractions: shopping, theater, museums, and parks. It is also only a block away from public transportation that can bring you to out its suburbs, its famed universities, and its airports.

New Year's Eve ”
We're happy stay here for 2 days trip at Chicago. Transit inside the Mart Plaza was so convenience, night view from the room was a plus! Would still stay here for next visit.

Very Nice Place”
My group and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and exactly as advertised. The only con I will mention is the price of food at their restaurant. It was very over priced. Breakfast included would have been nice too but it was extra. Breakfast buffet was $25/person.

Good view but room could be cleaner”
Great view of the city. One thing though is that the room could have been cleaner the ac/heater vents were very dusty there was dust on the tables when I got in there was a few tags left over under the couch from the previous person who stayed. Looked like there was some type of mold (yellow dots) starting above the shower on the ceiling. Events that go outside were super Dusty almost clogged. You couldn't adjust the temperature on the fridge because the knob was broken off. No coffee in room but you had a coffee maker. Have some wallpaper that is starting to peel. The safe was super dirty inside aswell. the lights next to the bed when was a soft white the other was daylight which was very annoying.

Decent Stay in Chicago”
The place is not too close to public transportation and its about 10~15 min walk to the Magnificent Mile area or to the State Street shopping area. Hotel had no complimentary drinking water nor hotel room slippers.

The hotel looks and feels old and some corners are dusty. The appliances are old especially the coffee machine which is a bit dirty

We left the towels we used on the floor for the first night and thought they will replace with new towels. However, we found the towel was hanging back on the towel rack with make-up on it. Not sure if it was from what we used or from other room.

Unorganized and Old”
The buffet breakfast rate from 1 to 5 is ONE, there was no verity during our five days in this hotel, waitresses frequently checked us to see how much we have breakfast and they served orange juice instead of allowing us to have it ourselves.

Mart Plaza Holiday Inn, Chicago”
I truly enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza in Chicago. We were close to the CTA lines and for a three day (72 hours) pass the cost was only $15.00 and afforded us the opportunity to use the elevated train or bus to get around. As a result, we were able to visit and enjoy the Chicago Musuem of History, Navy Pier, the Oriental Theatre, various Frank Lloyd Wright homes, as well as his home and studio, the Unity Church in Oak Park and the Ernest Hemingway musuem and home.

Very impressive! Better than most holiday inn hotels. Loved the view from the hotel. Walking distance to the Merchandise mart train station and a few good restaurants like Lou Malnoti's. Very nice lounge/bar.

Grest location with Parking facilities”
great location - right in between the north (magnificent mile) and downtown (loop) along the main river way providing fantastic views. one of the few hotels that offer parking facilities at an affordable a day with unlimited exit/entry. walking distance (5mins) to the ctr red line (merchandise mart) station and 20mins to practically anywhere else. value for money as price is comparable to hotels of a lower standard. simple and efficient service and staff though not as friendly or cheerful.

I had a good stay at this hotel. We attended a conference in chicago and this hotel made our stay there a good experience. It is near downtown and is accessible to public transport,not to mention also the free wifi.

i stayed just only a night at Holiday Inn and it was a great stay. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk to the Loop, city center. The room is very big for 1 person. The hotel also provides you with free wifi during your stay.

The hotel is in good location where the subway is easily accessible. The room is OK but nothing special comparing with other holiday Inn. The staff is well-mannered. You shouldn't have any expectation of the quality of the breakfast which is clearly substandard.

Great view but not near from Michigan Ave ”
romm is clean and big enough for 2 person. night view is great! direct connected with cta merchandise mart station is convenient. if you can take bus , it is a good place to enjoy night view and shopping both. but if it is difficult for you to understand bus system, you need walk about 15min to michigan ave for shopping. they don't have a refrigerator in the room, also safety box. however,i still recommend the hotel.
