Great hotel, great view and thank you so much Mr. Robert. You have perfect place in all Ninh Binh. If someone think about living place, choose this hotel. River, mountain, birds song every morning all it's great. If i travel again in Ninh Binh i will booking only this resort. Perfect staff, helpful and can rent motorbike in resort no need go anywhere. Not far have many beautiful place! Great, perfect and wonderful. Thank you for all :)

Me and my friend stayed for 2 nights in one of the dorms. Greated on arrival with such friendliness! Perfect location for walks and renting both push bikes and mopeds. Swimming pool was glorious, a view of the hills and seats to relax- very clean and well kept. Breakfast included was probably one of the best hostel breakfasts I've ever had ( + condensed milk coffee!!) Seating areas and a pool table to meet others , good music and again, the food ; well priced , fresh and delicious. Equally this place is good for couples and families -The private rooms are little seculded and with a beautiful window view and carefully planted gardens to wake up to. Having explored the surroundings this hostel seemed to be me to be the best -Ill definitely be recommending to all my friends. Thanks for making us feel so at home. The Hotel is located at approx 12 Km from Ninh Binh city. Its in the interior of Trang An. We truely enjoyed out stay at the hotel. The staff was so nice and helpful. The only observation was that the linenwas not changed on a daily basis. The breafast was satisfactory.. Anyone travelling Ninh Binh can easily stay at this hotel located right besides the mountain and the river area, far from the chaos at Tam Coc.

First of all, I've been in Vietnam for 9 weeks and this has been the best homestay! Secondly, I never write reviews but felt compelled to do so on behalf of the excellent experience I had at this place! Mai, as in the namesake of this accommodation, is the hard working, fun loving, matriarch of the family. Her, along with her two twenty something daughters, keep this place running smoothly. Mai only knows a few words of English but her daughters are fluent! Family dinners were my favorite! I've been to a few homestays where the actual local family doesn't eat with us- just the foreign guests. Here, Mai, both of her daughters, and occasionally her husband, all eat dinner with us every night! (Her husband will probably offer you rice wine!) They have lived in this village for generations so they know everyone! It's not uncommon for neighbors, friends and family members to drop by throughout the day. The dorm room is well kept with huge comfortable bunk beds! The bathroom and shower, just outside the room, are spacious, clean and there was always hot water! (PS. There is a Western toilet and tons of toilet paper available.) I could have easily stayed here for weeks!

Great place to stay in the Tam Coc/Ninh Binh area! The owners and staff are super friendly, accommodating and have helpful advice regarding local attractions and activities. The facilities are really clean and the hot water shower runs great. The food provided is basic but tasty. There is even a small dog on premise that loves to play fetch with a soccer ball. We truly felt welcomed during our stay here. Our one suggestion is to bring earplugs. As with many small town houses, there may be chickens nearby that start their day early in the morning.

We had a fantastic stay at Trang An Bungalow! It's tucked away in the mountains far from the touristy Tam Coc. So quiet and peaceful it was a real paradise. The host, Tri, really made our stay special and helped us book a night bus to our next destination. The food was fantastic. Buffet lunch had a lot of options and hot pot at dinner was delicious. Our bed was huge and everything in the room worked great. The weekdays tend to be much quieter because sometimes large groups book the space for parties and get-togethers on the weekends (as was the case during our stay but things were always quiet by 10pm so it didn't affect our sleep at all). We borrowed bikes everyday and got to see everything we wanted via bicycle. It's a beautiful place to explore. Overall an amazing stay. Highly recommend.

This homestay was without a doubt the best home stay I have ever been. The homestay is brand new (opened Feb 2016) and the staff are absolutely amazing. I was travelling with a group of backpackers and they literally went out of their way to accommodate us (we were basically a 'nightmare' to deal with :P). They picked us up from the bus station for free, and helped us in every way possible. The property is in a stunning location nestled amongst limestone formation. The accommodation was clean and comfortable 'bungalow'-style. The shared dinner (40,000 VND) was great value and the breakfasts (free) were also above-average. Overall I would HIGHLY recommended anyone coming to the Tam Coc area to stay here - you will not regret it!

It's a new homestay so all the furnitures are still in great conditions. even the water cooker in my room still had the manual in it :D location of the homestay is great, very close to trang an and not so far from tam coc (abt 6 km) so cycling to hoa lu and bich dong are both doable. the family lives in the property as well so it was nice to spend time with them too. wifi was fast. breakfast was tasty and savory. they also serve lunch/ dinner for a price, the food was GREAT and the portion was a LOT and also lots of dishes. but because of that, the price was also quite expensive (4-6 euro per meal). would be perfect if they decrease the portion/ number of dishes and charge it cheaper. only a few other restaurants nearby, i went to 2 of them and 1 didnt even have a menu and the waitresses dont speak english. so may be a bit difficult to find alternative meal close to the homestay

Honestly I was a bit sceptical about the place because of its location but my girlfriend convinced me to book it. I’m really glad we did. The location was great to see all the attractions in the area. The room was one of the best we had in Vietnam so far! We had a double room with garden view or whatever. It was basically brand new and had an amazing bathroom and incredibly comfortable Li g size bed! The staff are really lovely and will help you with anything you need. Highly recommend!!

We were lucky to find this homestay. The room was new, nice,clean and spacious, exactly like the pics. We went there by bike , so it was not a problem finding the way. If you have any difficulties finding the place, they are happy to pick you up. Extremely nice hots! They let us borrow the bicycles to go around the village ( which was so romantic at around 5pm) They have a awesome backyard where they grown flowers, veggies and the surrounding view is just amazingly peaceful. We had home cooked dinner with them and it was really nice as well. If you want to experience the truly rural life of Vietnamese northerners, give it a try. The owers have very limited English, b

The place was indeed sorrounded by a lotus field and had amazing views of the mountains around it. You'd really feel in touch with nature. The bungalows were clean and well taken care of on a daily basis during our stay. The family that owned it was delightful. They were friendly and helpful whenever needed. And finally, the food was probably the best we've tried so far. Everything was prepared fresh and was absolutely delicious, even for my bf who doesn't usually enjoy Vietnamese food.

The surroundings are really beautiful and peaceful. I love the place. Beds are comfortable, room is clean. I enjoy the outdoor bath and shower. Breakfast was awesome.You can have your meals there and the food is quite good. You get to explore the Mua Cave which is just next to the ecolodge. It's free for guests who stay here.The view from Mua Cave is really stunning. The people at the reception are very friendly and helpful. Thank you. But just a word of caution. When booking a taxi through the hotel. it's best to get a flat rate rather than using a meter because the taxi took us for a ride and we end up paying more than we were suppose to. I made a complaint to the reception. Hopefuly something could be done so that guest will not feel cheated. Overall, it was a great stay. Highly recommended.

A really nice place to stay, perfect location if you are after stunning scenery. I rented a motorbike and went to the attractions I wanted to visit myself but I’ve ridden many time in Vietnam. You can take the resorts tours no problem I’m sure. They will help you book the next travel plans like a train ride to Saigon or a taxi / mini bus ride to Hanoi for he flight home. If I’m being honest the staff where extremely helpful (even traveling a good few kms to a store to help my gf out with a purchase. (Ladies I think you get the drift) but, this isn’t a late night place. The restaurant closes at 9pm and then it’s time for bed. I did stay on the open air area reading and helped myself to a few beers from the bar when the staff had gone to bed but left them where I was sat , they charged me for them on leaving. So no problem. That was a pretty fair system. Would I return? absolutely yes.

We booked this homestay on a recommendation from a friend and in location and surroundings, did not disappoint! Its nestled in the middle of nowhere outside of Ninh Binh so I could see how some people would have trouble finding it however, we booked transport from/to the train station with the homestay and had no problems (we did get a hotel staff from Hanoi call this homestay as communicating with them was not possible/we had no response on Agoda). The location of the homestay is breath taking and, with a scooter, extremely close to most of the Ninh Binh attractions (rented from the Homestay). We had booked thinking we would be on the big lake in the picture however, There are more hunts on a smaller lake just approx 100m away-still beautiful and brand new though some construction noise was not as peaceful as we expected. The interior is perfect for what we were looking for as a simple get away however, there is no AC (only fans) which was not ideal. It has been so hot here recently that the 4 fans were not nearly enough at night and we struggled in the night to sleep (only due to the heat-the room itself was comfortable and plenty of space). The family is lovely and welcoming. Easy to get along with and have a laugh. We thoughroughly enjoyed a dinner at the homestay restaurant on our last night but be aware that the prices for food and drink are very high in comparison elsewhere (but made fresh and delicious). Overall we enjoyed our stay and if not for the heat with no AC (which we understand is part of the experience) would definitely give this place a 10!
