Great place, beautiful location and kind people ”
We had a lovely stay. The location of Hillview Inn is great, just outside the busy street of Tanah Rata but still only a few minutes walk. The hotel owners are incredibly helpful and kind. They are also very interested in their guests. The hotel rooms are everything you need: they are big enough, they are clean and everything works. We would definitely recommend staying here if going to Cameron Highlands!

Extremely worth it”
touched down at cameron highlands at 9pm and hillview inn was so convenient to find. the location was great as it was just a few blocks away from where the food and convenient stalls were. they had a few types of tour packages that were suitable for everyone and my aunt and i went for the rm50 cameron tour where we visited the butterfly farm, tea plantation, mount brinchang, mossy forest and strawberry farm. the pick up was from hillview inn and it was with 8 other people with a driver. our double bed room was sufficient. the weather did not require any air conditioning due to the holes for ventilation and cold air to enter. the toilet was clean and the staffs were friendly. food was simple and good (do try the scones and tea at only rm9.50). our experience was a really pleasant one and we hope to go there again! thank you mr and mrs velu!

Great location and clean rooms”
The Hillview Inn is a step up from the other backpack places in town, without the high cost of the hotels in the area. It is just off the main road through town, and thus close to restaurants and food kiosks, Starbucks & other coffee shops, as well as other stores. The owners offer a selection of tours in the area, but never once put any pressure on me to purchase one of their tours. They also sell useful maps of the town and the hiking trails. There is a simple dining area that offers a selection of breakfast and lunch foods, and is open until 10 p.m. The food is inexpensive yet tasty. I particularly enjoyed their scones and jam, as well as the lemon juice. The rooms are simply furnished, but clean, and most if not all of them have a balcony. There is free wireless internet if you are traveling with your own computer, or there is internet service available at a reasonable rate in the lobby. The owners also have a laundry service available at a good rate. This was my second stay at the Hillview Inn, and should I ever find myself in the Cameron Highlands in the future, I would definitely return to the Hillview Inn.

I really had a good time staying at the Hillview Inn. I was very impressive with the pick up service from the bus station, which I didn't expect. The owners were very nice and helpful. I love the set up of the garden around guesthouse. I really highly recommend you guys to stay there for visit and stay at Cameron Highland.

Couldn't ask for a better location”
The Hillview Inn is located on the south side of town just off the main street. It is close to restaurants offering a variety of ethnic and western food, Starbucks and other coffee shops, stores, and a variety of tour agencies. It is also an easy walk to most of the trail heads. The Hillview Inn is a step up from the other backpack guesthouses, without the expense of the higher end hotels in the area. The rooms are simply furnished with a bed, desk and chair, but comfortable, and have 24 hour hot water showers, and free wireless internet if you are traveling with your own computer. Internet service is also available in the lobby for a modest price. I believe that most if not all of the rooms have a balcony. Each floor also has a common room with sofas and a TV. The owners provide a variety of tours in the area, but never put pressure on me to purchase one of their tours. They also sell maps of the area and the hiking trails. Their laundry service was reasonably priced and efficient. There is a dining area on the main floor that is open from breakfast until 10 p.m. They offer a simple selection of meals and beverages, that are tasty and good value for the money. I particularly enjoyed their scones with jam, as well as their lemon juice shakes. The owners were helpful with any questions that I had.

Nice, relax and wonderful place to be”
This place is located in Tanah Rata. It is about 5km away from Brincang and 3km away from Night Market. Restaurants, Agro Farm, Robinson Waterfall are walking distance from the hotel. Apart from that, the hotel has very nice landscape and it is very relaxing. Wonderful place to put up and enjoy your holiday in Cameron Highland.

Very basic but very good”
If what you're looking for is a cheap, clean place to stay while in Cameron Highlands, Hillview Inn offers a value proposition that is hard to beat. Midway between a hostel and motel, it's extremely basic but clean and pleasant. Nothing much in the way of facilities but where it scores over almost every other hotel in Cameron Highlands is the comprehensive tour and activity choices it offers to guests. Ideal for young adventurers and backpackers..... and those who just want a place to sleep and use as a base of operations. Less of a good idea for those who want more out of their hotel.

Sweet little place, a bit noisy, good location”
The Hillview Inn was ok. The rooms are small, the toilet smaller and the balcony looked out onto a deserted construction site. No need for AC since the Cameron Highlands are a bit nippy. YOu have to buy breakfast in the morning but it's cheap and tasty. The staff were nice, but we had to try a little to get a smile. They were great however, in offering us information on tours and transport to other areas. Beds were comfy and it's in a very good location. All in all, a lovely little place to stay for a couple of nights.

Quiet beautiful location still close Tanah Rata.”
My stay at Hillview Inn was very nice. Perfect location close to the center of Tanah Rata still on the edge of the rainforest close to trails. It's a beautiful building surrounded by flowers and trees. Rooms are quite small but nice, the bed was less good and my girlfriend got a bit problem with her back after 2 nights. Time to get new madrasses probably. Also a little bit to expensive for the standard. Still good over all!

I stayed here for four nights between Christmas and New Year. Good value. Clean room with great bed and two nice balconies to sit on and watch things passing by in Tanah Rata. Good location but Tanah Rata is small and most places are easily walked to. The hiking is very, very nice. Ask for a second blanket as it does get cold at night. Would have liked better water pressure. The water was hot but when it is cold you really want a good spray and not a trickle. Good place to stay though.

Small but beautiful garden, rooms likewise”
We stayed in 3 different hotels in the cameron highlands, and I think this one provided the best value for the price. The gardens and decor were not quite as nice as the Smokehouse, but it was much cheaper, and for the price I think this hotel is an excellent deal. The staff were happy to provide advice, though it was not entirely accurate, but the maps are all wrong in that town too, so I can't blame them. They let us use the bowls, knives, glasses, etc. from the kitchen for free, so we could eat our own food and tea alone in the garden, which was lovely. We got breakfast there, which is probably an OK deal normally, but there seemed to be a new worker in the kitchen that day who didn't know what she was doing, the upshot being that the bananas in my oatmeal were cut with the same knife as onions.

Excellent Location”
We didnt have any expectation when we book this hotel. Walking distance to Tanah Rata town. You can walk almost everywhere from here. The bus station, eateries place,market,laundry and sundry shop. At night it can be cold due to it position. Bring along a light jacket. Breakfast was good. Their homemade scones was good too. Friendly and helpful staff. But what I like most about this hotel is a cat name Serai. Very affectionate,friendly chubby cat. I missed him already

I love this hotel feel like home in the central but away from the noisy, super clean. Staff all friendly and helpful in particular the lady during the day at the reception her name Wein.I love my room and when I check in I been told they upgraded with room with view, I will recommend this hotel 100 per cent, thankyou for make my visit to Cameron Highlands great, 😘

Lovely hotel with peaceful garden”
the hotel is extremely clean, there is a large peaceful garden outside our room, we can smell the flowers every morning when i open the windows. also, the hosts were overly friendly they always helped with anything we asked. it is an easy walk to the village. i'll go back next time if i visit cameron highlands again!

Good budget hotel, close to shops and cafes”
The Hillview Inn is getting on in years but it has been well looked after and is still a very clean and comfortable option. The TV is located in a sitting room on each floor, but that is friendly as you chat with other guests. A good breakfast at a reasonable price is available. The reception staff will book tours and buses. Pick up was very reliable and the service was good. The hotel is very close to the main road for easy access to restaurants, cafes and other shops. A good option.

Located in Tanah Rata. You can walk to shops in Tanah Rata. The room was quite good. The hot water is for showers only. The staff at the front desk was really friendly. The food at the cafe was not that good but it’s quite cheap. Overall experienced was excellent. Good value for money
