I wished I had been staying here every year. ”

I've been to Chiang Rai 4 times. I wish I knew about this place from my 1st visit I would have stayed here every time. Everything about our experience at the Hi ChiangRai Hotel was 5 star for a 3 star price. Breakfast was a buffet style with many different options. No dinner service, but you're walking distance to Night Bazaar with many restaurants and lots of great food options in the area. We stayed 4 nights. Highly recommended and I am going to stay again if I find myself in Chiang Rai.

Economical Gem”

Small, boutique hotel in center of Chiangrai within very easy walking distance of the night market and most of the tourist sites in the main part of the city. Smallish, but very comfortable room with everything that an economical traveler would need. The breakfast included in the room price offered a small, but very acceptable range of several different items for Chinese, western, and Thai food, with a couple of egg dishes available cooked to order. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only real downside seemed to be limited parking spaces. However, we were not driving, so it wasn't a factor for us. Definitely recommend the Hi Chiangrai for the budget traveler looking for better than backpacker lodgings as a reasonable price.

Magnificant”

Hi Chiang Rai is a beautiful Brand New hotel in a premium location in Chiang Rai. you will be hard pushed to beat this place for value for money. nice rooms & sweet small bathrooms with super soft towels. good buffet breakfast serving cereals/toast/muffins/fruit & fresh ground coffee. has a beautiful indoor swimming pool. only downside was wifi was only available in the lobby, but for the price paid i can more than live with this one small issue. I would stay here everytime i visit Chiang rai and highly recommend to anyone. Great hotel and great staff.

Long Vacation”

Wanted to experience Northern Thailand and was in Chiang Mai for a week. Chiang Rai was an easy commute via Green Bus and Hi Chiang Rai was just around the corner from the bus stop. Lovely new hotel with a pool on the main floor with rooms over looking it. Rooms were clean and recently renovated so the hotel had that fresh feel to it. Easy to get around Chiang Rai from the hotel and just a short Grab to Wat Rong Kuhn (White Temple). There is also a daily shuttle you can catch that will take you to the Central Mall - nice touch.

Fantastic family hotel”

Hi Chiang Rai looks like a fairly new hotel. It is really clean and located within 5 mins of the main city centre area. Rooms aren’t the biggest but we were 2 adults with our 10 year old son - very comfortable and WiFi is excellent. The staff are very polite and the buffet breakfast is adequate. Overall - a great little hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again. We didn’t use the little pool they have just off the lobby area - next time maybe!

Excellent Hotel for Family in Chiang Rai”

Had a great stay at the Hi ChiangRai Hotel. Modern rooms with plenty of space, we had a double room. Staff were great and location was fantastic for the Night Bazaar, clock tower and some great local restaurants. Only had breakfast there once but was ok for the money. Pool is little unusual in middle of hotel and was too cold for me but my kids loved it anyway which is really the point. Parking onsite was always available. Would definitely recommend.

Quirky hotel”

Walking into the lobby of Hi Chiang Rai hotel you'll notice the pool is indoors and about 10 feet from check-in. The staff are very helpful and greet you with a smile. Our room very nice with one of the most comfortable beds in Asia. This hotel is relatively new. A short walk to the night market, very nice and large. Definitely make your way to walking street on Saturday night which is gust up the road. The food selection is awesome. Nothi g is too far. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Worth every penny”

Arrived early, no problem with early check in! Staff were friendly and attentive! Rooms were clean and the bathroom was immaculate! We had booked 3 rooms for our group and all 3 were spot on! For the money we paid I would say this was well worth it. Just up the road from the center, easy access to all aspects of Chiang Rai. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely book again if I went back to Chiang Rai! 10/10

Enjoyed our stay”

Clean room. Located near several restaurants. 10 minute walk to night market. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was good, variety didn’t change much during our 4 night stay. Bed was very comfortable. If you want a good place to get a good nights rest after sightseeing, Hi Chiang Rai is a good choice. We live in Thailand and make many short trips around the country. This hotel is great for short stays.

Good value and good location ”

We enjoyed our stay in the Hi Chiang Rai hotel. We accidentally booked a twin instead of a double, the staff were very good and were able to relocate us into a double room . The cleaning service is excellent and the hotel is very well kept. The location is also a bonus , with a 3 minute walk to the night bizar

Surprisingly very very nice with comfy beds”

I booked a couple nights at Hi Chiangrai expecting a 3 star hotel, but wow, I was impressed. The place was quite nice and in a central location. Most importantly, the beds were incredibly soft and cushy. I basically could have spent all two days in bed because they were so plush... I felt like I was in heaven. Glad it had a safe too. Only downside is that the walls were a bit thin so you could kinda hear sounds of others in the hallway... but they were faint. US American traveler.

Lovely Hotel at a Reasonable Prie”

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting Chiang Rai. The hotel was near the downtown area, but set back from the street, and we heard no noise. It was within walking distance of the bus station, restaurants, and street markets. The room, although not large, was very comfortable and well-furnished and the beds were maybe the best I have slept in in SE Asia. The pool was indoors and it was a bit of a strange setup and might not appeal to many people, but we didn’t care about the pool. We had breakfast there one morning—it was pretty much local food and I didn’t love it, but my husband enjoyed it. Overall, I think this hotel was a great value for the cost.

Modern, clean, great location, good value”

Good value for price.  Accommodation is very comfortable for its cost, perhaps a reflection of the market of Chiang Rai.  Clean, modern, comfortable bed, good location with plenty of restaurants nearby and close to the night bazaar.  Did not try the pool and there is no gym in the hotel. Checked into this hotel after not being able to sleep well at a friend’s house close to a motorway and apparent rooster farm, and I caught up on all my sleep here.

Great location, comfortable room, amazing value for money”

Great location within Chiang Rai with the night market, clocktower and many restaurants within walking distance. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. A special mention to the house keeping staff who did a phenomenal job in cleaning the room daily. Receptionist was also very kind and helpful in negotiating a reasonable price for a short day trip to Phu Chi Fah. Overall, a great hotel which I would highly recommend.

Good hotel to stay”

Brand new perfect located small hotel, close to the Night market and center of Chiangrai, clean with friendly stuff. We came earlier than 2 p.m. but the hotel helped us with early check in. The bed was super comfortable, jasmine shower gel was just amazing. Breakfast was poor but fresh. Swimming pool made more like a decoration, not like a real swimming pool, but I saw some people who were swimming there. As many Thai hotels in this one the walls are thin, so it's a bit noisy. Inside the room there is a kettle, water, tea and coffee.

Nice homey feel”

The hotel was new & very clean. The rooms are very clean & quite big with new furnitures with modern feel. The hotel is not big, it has 4 floors & you can see the mini swimming pool from all the floors. Breakfast was nice & very home-cooked in a good way, friendly staffs. Only 5 mins walking distance to Chiang Rai night market. I really reccomend this place to stay!

New Hotel with Great Location”

This hotel is only 5 minutes walk from central Chiangrai with easy access to the Walking Street and Night Markets and all the local tourist bars and restaurants. It is also close to the local bus station that links to the inter province bus station. The hotel itself is new with the staff speaking good English. The hotel is far enough back from the main road that it is relatively quiet. The rooms itself was spotlessly clean with completely new fitout. The mattress on the bed was thick and very comfortable. The airconditioning was relatively quiet and unobtrusive. The negatives of this hotel are: The fitout is new but of cheap quality (the furniture was chip board) so I am not sure how long it will last. The TV only showed local Thai stations (no Western Channels). Breakfast was OKif you wanted a Thai Breakfast but only poor if you wanted to eat a Western breakfast. The swimming pool is tiny and in the middle of the hotel so it is in shade all the time (ie cold).

It comes over a little like a hostel, but the location, price etc. are excellent. Initially a little confusion with staff who didn't quite understand what ID actually is! Pool somewhat strangely located inside the building and overlooked by the rooms. Maybe not the *best* design choice. Approximately 5 minutes walk from the bus station, newly built. 4 nights there was fine for exploring Chiang Rai and its weekend markets. Hot tip: Ribs and Co. - fantastic!

Very Good stay in city of Chiang Rai ”

Close to night walking street on Sat night (10min walk). 5 minute walk to Chiang Rai Night bazar. ABF at hotel is suitable with price THB150. I stayed in 1 Suite which has 2 bedroom and comfortable stay with 2 adults + 3 kids. The room is clean and equipped with all amenities. Parking is available.

Comfortable room”

Good location. This hotel is in the middle of Chiang Rai city. It’s only 1 km to Saturday walking street market. The parking lots is not enough. No bellboy! You have to take care your luggage by yourself. Fortunately, I did not reserve breakfast because they set eating place at lobby at the main door. It’s quite open.
