Weekend Getaway”

I liked the tram and the views of the gorge!! The beds were very comfortable!’ The pool was nice to and even on a holiday weekend it wasn’t crowded!! The dinning room had a good view!! The food was ok, what I exspected!! The grounds were pretty!
It was under construction!! So it would be nice to see when that’s complete! Our room was nice but the cleaning was not!! We found hair in the tub and the coffee makers was covered in dust! There were hairs on the bed!! The mini golf should just be removed it’s an eye shots to the nicely kept grounds!! I wish it had more windows a long deck with chair for viewing would be a nice touch!! Along with some deck fire pits!! I was really missing a fire!

Excellent accommodations for rafting trip”

Although old, rooms are still nice and the staff is wonderful. Great for families with kids. There are plenty of things to do around the hotel - including a pool, nice playground and basketball court. There is also a gondola down to the river. Restaurant is good and views are spectacular. Great experience for little money.

An old property- but perfect for exploring the park and for near-by rafting. The rooms are clean - but old. Bathroom the same. Staff is very nice and professional. Great for a family with kids. Lots of things to do at the hotel - including a pool, playground, basketball court and several hikes. Also has a gondola down to the river. Would definitely stay again. Restaurant was also good. Excellent room prices and breakfast is included.

Nostalgic hotel for nature lovers with great views..”

Location was beautiful! Beds comfy.. View off dining room was gorgeous! Dining room and cleaning staff were very nice. Flowers in other areas around hotel were beautiful! Pool was nice and clean. Love the nostalgic vibe of this hotel! Air conditioning was great as well.
Ice machines weren't working. Need to better clean windows in dining are as the view is beautiful. Food needs to be upgraded a bit; a bit healthier would be nice. . Showers needs some servicing, as do the balcony sliding doors. Walk down to bottom could be better maintained, it we enjoyed the hike. It's very lovely down there.

Amazing view from the room, loved the balcony, the tram that is connected to the lodge, all the staff was very friendly and accommodating, the restaurant with all you can eat breakfast, very clean outside pool, the playground for the kids
The room door lock was difficult to open and only one key was available, lodge is outdated

Rustic and Peaceful but overpriced and Dated- Fantastic location overlooking steep river gorge”

State employed staff are polite and friendly. They really care about the service they provide. The overall atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. Guests were sitting near the lobby reading books while several women were weaving using a 19th century weaving wheel. The lovers leap (seriously steep cliff) was a plus but the overpainted wobbly wood hand railing aligned with the steep steps leading to it needs immediate repair.
Dated, 1960s cinder block walls. Room was small and cold; mitsubishi electric heater in the ceiling stopped working at 3am- took 1 hour to get it to stop clicking and start heating up the room. Unfortunately, the warmth lasted about 2 hours and had to repeat the process before the family woke up. The bathroom was tiny and like the rest of the room- old and dated. Room rate paid was too much for the value delivered. Reduce the room rate by 40% and the location would be value enough.
