The best staff in the Philippines!!!”

We are very happy about our stay in Haven 1916! We've arrived early in the morning and were able to make an early check in. The room was quite small and the air conditioning was not working as well as it should, but there was big closet to organise your things so that the room wouldn't look messy. The staff at this place is just amazing! Especially Anne - she is our favourite! She was laughing and smiling no matter what and it made our stay so special and remarkable. The breakfast was really fulfilling and delicious with an amazing view! Especially crispy fish. They've also offered us to have our breakfast in the evening, as we left to our Safari tour so early and missed those. It was not offered in any other hotel! Highly appreciated! Also the tour agency they are working with do have the best guides!! I highly recommend to take a tour at the hotel and ask if it would be possible to have a Jerry as a guide for island hopping. I promise you, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Haven 1916 team for a very enjoyable stay! We will keep recommend this place to everyone going to Coron!

Great hotel in town”

This is a great place to stay in Coron. Location is central and very convenient. Within 2 block of the hotel are a wide variety of restaurants as well as the Mt Tapyas staircase. The hotel staff is helpful with arranging guided island hopping tours as well as airport shuttle transfers. And the breakfasts are tasty and satisfying. The rooftop terrace is a nice place to relax and it has a great view of the city, too. We initially had an issue with a strong chemical odor in our room, which turned out to be an insect killer for the minor ant issue in that room. But we were promptly moved to a different room and all was good to go. Wifi connection is a gamble, but I believe this is true of most of Coron so no fault on the hotel's part. Also, noise can be an issue on weekends when the on-site karaoke machines are going. But they enforce that they be turned off by 10pm so it isn't that bad unless you like to sleep really early. Overall, Haven 1916 is highly recommended.

Above and Beyond”

Stayed for 2 nights. The staff was very helpful, food was average but can't complain. They will only cook breakfast once you're awake so it is ensured it will be hot before you eat it. Safe spot in the rooftop for hanging your wet clothes and bonus for a nice view in the morning at the top. Huge thanks to the staff of Haven 1916 for sending our passport right after we left without us having to call them for it. Just in time before we boarded for our flight outside of Coron. Will definitely book again.

Great spot for any traveler!”

We were torn between choosing this hotel or another bigger hotel, and were not at all disappointed by our choice. Haven 1916 is right next to Mt Tapyas and within walking distance of all the popular eating spots, as well as the port from which the boats depart when you go for an island hopping tour. You can't beat the convenience of the location. The staff were all very nice and polite, and were always ready to help us out with a smile. I'd want to stay here again should I return to Coron.

We were also allowed to buy fresh ingredients and produce from the market then have it cooked by their chef for a minimum fee only. You can also rent towels that you can take outside during the tours. The rooms are exactly how they are on the photos. The view at their roof deck is also a must see. This place is definitely highly recommended. Will stay here again the next time.

Conveniently located, clean, quiet and they have the best staff!”

Haven 1916 is a great place to call home while in Coron. It is just a block from the main street, which means a couple of minutes' walk will take you to great dining locations like Winnie's and Altrove. But it is quiet, no noise from bars or motorcycles passing by to keep you up at night. 3 of us stayed in the family room which is spacious and very clean! I would highly recommend this place.

WE HAD A WONDERFUL STAY!”

Its literally 5 minutes walk to Mount Tapyas and to Big Mama's restaurant (served the best buko and mango shake!). Staffs were very friendly although sometimes its difficult to find them as they were not all the time at the reception desk. But still, two thumbs up for their hospitality! Haven 1916 feels like home while we were in Coron!

Helpful staff”

We were already at the airport for our return flight to Manila when I realized that I left my watch in our hotel room. We called them immediately and the staff went an extra mile to return my watch by delivering it personally to my mother-in-law (luckily our flight was one day ahead of her) without charging us an extra cost. Thank you Haven 1916 B&B.. honest & reliable staff and they have the most delicious danggit plated breakfast. We will surely stay here again when we come back in Coron.

Great stay, great choice”

I really enjoyed staying at Haven 1916 Its quiet yet near the town events. Breakfast was fast and ready. Rooms were roomy and the view was great..also the rooftop was a great location to relax and even had cloth hangers to dry off our beach clothing. Staff was great and assisted in our every need..motorbike...airport transportation. Short walk to all the restaurants. I will definitely stay there again!!

stay was beyond exceptional and comfortable”

Staff - all the staff was accommodating and friendly, most notable Anne & B-Anne(?) at the front desk. they knowledgeable with everything from places to eat and tours to take. Room - we rented the Standard room for 4 nights. the space was more than for both of us. Sheets were clean and so were the floors and bathroom. shower had a heater and it worked flawlessly. bonus points for having a safe for guests to use. Hotel location - Hotel is located conveniently l on the northern point of town right at the bottom of Mt. Tapyas. What i liked about that is that your far enough from the noise (tricycles & cars) but close enough to walk to grab a bite to eat or head to town. (5-10 minute walk) i had Haven book us a round trip pickup both ways to the airport, just having that taken care of for me is another thing off my to do list. If i had the chance to go back to coron then no doubt Haven would be the place i would stay at again. A+ service and staff!

Awesome Place!”

Everything is awesome in this place! The staff is super friendly and they provided everything that we need. Super CLEAN room and the facility is superb! It exceeded my expectation! Food for breakfast is remarkable! I will definetly go back and stay with haven 1916 again. Worth the money and my time.

Awesome stay with friendly staffs”

I'm thankful to have Haven staffs to help me in decorating my room before my arrival as I wished, to celebrate my GF's birthday ! Including preparing the bouquet of roses and balloons etc. They are always so helpful that they help us to arrange the travel island hopping tour and help us to call the van to the airport. And the breakfast prepared is very nice ! Overall we have an awesome stay at Haven ! Very recommended to those who wanna have a homey feeling stay in Coron.

The staffs are very polite. The breakfast is good with american and filipino cuisine choices. The room is clean and well maintained. Spacious comfort room. You will feel at home at this place. Thank you Haven 1916!

Good position in town but with developable cleanness”

The position of the Haven 1916 is good to explore the city with a distance to all the noices. The staff was helpful and the price for the laundry was fair. The breakfast was ok, as in most places on the Philippines. The cleanness has some room for improvement. For example the plastic bath mat in the shower was really dirty with hairs on it and lots of sedimentary deposits of whatever.

We had a great time at Haven. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was in a great location. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very accommodating of all our requests. They helped us book a couple of tours (I'd definitely recommend both the Coron Highlights and Firefly Watching tours) and even helped us out changing our flights home. Thanks Haven!

excellent location, clean and not noisy ”

Ann at front dest super wonderful. Breakfast very nice..ready when I wake up early..good choices. I had 2 nights in budget room, Then 2 nights in superior room with view. Both good.. If you want to save money, take smaller room. If your traveling with more then a couple, superior with ocean view. We read the reviews on this place, and they are pretty accurate, We took precautions to mosquito and kept door shut and used light..no problems at all. Quiet..no bars or busy street noise So sleep is good. Great aircon... gets room too cold at night(better then hot) Restaurants all good nearby My favorite La Sirenetta on small pier, Lemon shrimp pasta with fresh basil. Mahi with mango salsa Special house pizza Mango shake Ice cold beer Ate there 2 night because it was so good.. Hotel get 4 out of 5 Yes..price worth it Would be 5 if bed was upgraded, But then the price would go up too...
