Very new, very friendly, very helpful”

I stayed here for 1 month, so I got to know this place well. The internet connection here was the biggest draw for me as my work requires it. Other hotels near this class are at least twice the price in Cebu and older. When the internet was working, I would get speeds between 20-300 kilobytes/s (bytes, not bits). They were having difficulties with their ISP while I was there at the end of my stay though, so I changed hotels. Wired connections in all the rooms, wifi only available in the lobby downstairs. Harolds is a lovely lovely place. Brand new, so new in fact that they had to make me a custom "do not disturb" door hanger because they didn't yet have them made. The rooms are luxurious, 5-star level given their condition. Bed was gorgeous and comfortable. Harolds is a business hotel - no pool, very few kids. Perfect for me. Restaurant is ok. Expensive. Right down the street is Handuraw, which came to be my favorite place to eat. Wonderful pizza there and amazingly cheap prices. Ayala mall is within walking distance, although you can take a cab or a jeep too and they have tons of food options as well as shopping. SM mall is very close as well. Harolds staff is extremely nice. All of them knew my name within a day or so and I had not introduced myself. All very professional and helpful. They will make up your room pretty much any time of the day, so if you're on an odd sleep schedule, don't worry. I've never had better cleaning staff. They organized all my bathroom stuff and everything I threw around the room and on the desk. I always came back to a perfect looking room. Do your laundry around the corner, not at Lavada Queen (expensive), but the place on the opposite side of Escario street (I don't recall the name, sorry). If I come back to Cebu and the rate is still this good, I'll definitely come here again.

Wonderful hotel”

Stayed here for a few nights in the middle of a three week honeymoon vacation throughout the Philippines to Manila, Palawan, cebu/Oslob/Bohol, siargao, and borocay. We wanted to stay in a location that was central to the island and all we needed in Cebu. Not only is harolds hotel a prime location to the main Ayala mall and restaraunts ( a less than 5 minute taxi ride), but the hotel is great, the beds are very confortable, the room is clean and comfortable, the wifi is fast, and the restaraunt is very very good. But most of all, the service and hospitality and friendliness of the staff was spot on. There is also a great rooftop deck/bar/restaraunt with live music some times throughout the week... and the breakfast buffet is well stacked with options and good food. We didn't try the dinner buffet, but each night is a different theme and there was always a lot of people. No doubt it was good! Hands down- next time I have to visit Cebu city, I'm going to stay at harolds!

Nice Hotel in the Middle of the City”

My friends and I stayed in Harold Hotel just for an extended stay in Cebu and we had a wonderful time. The Hotel is quite new, you can it smell in the rooms. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. They will greet you with a smile whenever you pass by them in the lobby or in the hallway. The rooms are spacious, confortable and have a great view of the city. We slept well because the bed is so comfy and the pillows are very soft. Unlike other hotels, internet connection is available in the rooms with no extra charge. The rooms are also provided with flat screen TV with cable channels. The buffet breakfast included in the package is very good! You can choose from a wide selection of international cuisine - the food is good for brunch also. For the price a paid for the hotel, I got a great bargain! Will definite recommend Harold Hotel to my friends!

A pleasant hotel with pleasant service!”

I chose Harolds Hotel again because I had a pleasant stay the first time I stayed there when I was in Cebu in January this year. This time I was with my husband and we truly had a wonderful stay in this hotel. My preferences were met: we had a wider window that gave us a panoramic view of the other side of the city and the mountains, and we stayed on a higher floor. We liked the ambience of the restaurant area and the food was simply great. Dining was a wonderful experience enhanced by the wonderful restaurant staff who were sensitive as to our preferences and acted efficiently on our added requests. Aside from the warmth around, I liked the well-maintained cleanliness of the rooms and the restaurant. Though we encountered a bit of a problem regarding toilet faucet, maintenance was readily available. Extra requests for some room needs were readily handled and met. If I need to go back on a vacation, I would still opt to stay at Harolds Hotel! The staff we were directly in contact with (reservations, front desk, restaurant staff, maintenance and bell boys, as well the guard who calls taxis for you) had a positive aura of friendliness. My husband and I just felt so relaxed and enjoyed our stay!

Excellent Hotel in Cebu City”

It has been my experience that often hotels are given a 4 star rating, but actually have 3 star quality to them Harold meets its 4 star mark with ease. It is a newer hotel in a central part of Cebu City, walking distance from Ayala Center Mall, and a short cab ride to IT Park, SM Mall, or Robinson's Mall. Not too far from the airport, about a 20 minute ride (without traffic). The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bed was to die for. Probably the most comfortable bed and pillows I have slept on in a long time. The rooms were well thought out. Ample number of power outlets, well lit, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, safe, and refrigerator all in the room. It had a nice and tasty breakfast spread. Several restaurants are in walking distance. It does not have all the bells and whistles of the Radisson Blu, but the quality of the rooms and service are equal. This is definitely a great hotel for the price. I would be happy to stay there again, just for the comfort of the bed. Highly recommended.

Our stay at this hotel was great, from the time we got out of the taxi to getting checked into our room. The customer service is first class service, I will stay at this hotel when ever I come to Cebu, I have stayed at the Crown Regency before, but no more, Harolds is just right for me and my buget and it's one of the best I have stayed at in Cebu. I would like to see something put in the work out room to wipe down the equipment when I am finished working out. I need to metion about the RD Bar that is located on the Top floor, best drinks my wife and I have had in the Philippines, the barteners really know how to make really good drinks and the band was excellent, so if people coming to Cebu, you all need to try this hotel out, you will be very happy. The rooms are great, the bed is so confortable you don't want to get up in the mornings, the breakfast is good. But I tell you the employees and the managers made this a pleasent stay for 5 days, I will be back there on 6 Sept for another 4 days. Thanks go out to the Managers and Staff

Excellent service”

The staffs are great there, they provide excellent service! The front door boy who help to carry luggage and open the car door, every time he would RUN to us to open the car or the hotel door for us. The team are just like that, always try to help as much as possible. The room is fine, clean, tidy with everything you need, the bed are comfortable. The local buffet breakfast was good, so much option we could choose. You can walk to Ayala mall from Harolds in 15 mins, it's faster to walk than to take a drive there, cause the location is in traffic jam from 5-8 pm, the traffic in Cebu is bad. The traffic peak hour is 5-8pm. I took 90 mins to get to the airport from Harolds ( normally if only take 30-45 mins) in the peak hour. The price with this breakfast, service and room, for sure, it's a good deal!

Home away from home”

The more hotels I try out around Cebu City, the more I am convinced that Harolds is head and shoulders above the rest. Their housekeeping staff actually cleans the rooms--not just swing a dirty mop over the tile and wipe the dust off the desktop. Their service staff is attentive, knowledgeable and friendly without being cloying. They properly employ the tricks of the trade with their practiced memory of your name, and how you like your eggs, and providing the extra towel or pillow you always would request--except that once they know, they just have it waiting when you arrive. And they don't nickel and dime you with such inanities as charging for a 2nd bath towel (which the so-called 4-star Crown Regency down the street does), and the breakfast buffet actually has reasonable variety -- on my first visit they failed to include a seafood option amongst their half-dozen meat choices one morning, but when i complained they served up some fish special just for me (at no extra charge)--and there hasn't been a day since when one wasn't included. It's the little things--from the handheld shower heads and bidets to the big fluffy (extra) towels, to the 4 pillows (in a variety of materials) on the bed, to their holding your extra luggage for a week (no extra charge) while you run off traveling light to snorkel in moalboal, to the smiles and familiar greetings which welcome you back--all of these 'little things' together in one very comfortable hotel -- that's what keeps me coming back. If only they had a swimming pool...

Great newer hotel with fantastic service”

i initially booked a 3-night stay and ended up extending my booking two other times for additional 3 nights each. the main reason was the friendly and efficient staff let by night manager, anthony, and restaurant servers philip and alonamae, and room attendant david. all went out of their way to ensure i had a good stay. in addition to a comfortable bed and free internet connection in the room, it also included daily bottles of water, an ironing board, and a scale to see how much i was gaining or losing each day. the latter two are not normaly in any hotels i've stayed in during trips to the philippines. i have visited cebu city often and harolds was on par with the other 4-star hotels in the area but had the little extra with the staff, iron, and scale.

Excellent! The best hotel I have ever seen!!!”

I would say Harolds Hotel is the best hotel in Cebu City. The room was very great with all of things you need and was very comfortable. Also, the front-desk staff and the bell boy were really nice. They were very helpful and polite. Once you arrived in the hotel, they always asked you if you needed any drinks which were also free of charge. Breakfast buffet was tasty too!!!! I love Harolds!!!!! Great!!!!

We loved this hotel, the staff were excellent, we have stayed in a number of hotels in Asia and we considered the staff at the Harolds hotel to be one of the best. The restaurant managers Cesa & Mike, went out of there way to make us feel welcomed & important, as did all of the staff, the room was larger than average, the ambience and atmosphere at the roof top resataurant is very good. The food at both restaurants is above average for a hotel of this rating. Location is good, the Ayala shopping mall is within walking distance, couple pf small issues, the lobby area is small ith restricted seating, and the air conditioning unit was on the noisy side, however I ill be staying at this hotel on my next visit to Cebu

Good place to stay”

I was choosing Harolds, for the other hotel I had choosed first, was booked out. And I did not regret. I got a nice and clean room with a very nice view on cebu city. The staff was very helpful in any problem, the breakfast in quantity and quality realy ok, the dinner in the restaurant a little more expensive than if you eat outside, but very good in taste and quantity. All service was great! By a short taxiride you can reach several malls and spots of nightlife. Harolds is a good choice for all purposes of stay.

Very Accomodating Staff and Nice Hotel ”

Stayed February 2 - 5, 2017... Their staff (Ella and Franz) were the ones who arranged our transportation for our Oslob and Kawasan Falls trip. Likewise, our Cebu City Tour was arranged by the above-mentioned staff. The roof deck bar is very relaxing. The buffet breakfast was great. We were even given danggit and chorizzos, not part of the buffet selection, by their friendly staff (Aaron). The superior rooms (702 / 705) were big and very comfortable. Totally Satisfied Stay”

First of all, let me start by saying a Big Thank You to all the staffs at Harolds Hotel. They were simply very courteous, attentive and helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean with nice amenities also with iron and board. Housekeeping response fast if u request for replenishing within 5 minutes. Fast Internet and no breakdown...awesome. Breakfast was really good. The rooftop bar and restaurant with live band was awesome indeed. The buffet dinner at the coffee house is as good too, so u have a choice to either dine at the coffee house or at the roofbar. Will definitely stay at Harolds for my future trips to Cebu. Superb stay for me.

Good nice hotel and conveniently located”

I have stayed at Harold times over the years for short stays. I can always count on hotel rooms to be clean and comfortable. Although my stays there are usually only a day or so, I have never had a problem at hotel. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. Room service is fast and staff is very professional and friendly. The hotel is very close to Alaya Mall and close to many activities in Cebu City.

Good to stay for 1 or 2 nights”

We had a great 3 days in cebu. Harolds hotel is very near to ayala mall. It has good service quality, big rooms, brand new, nice breakfast, and price is good for what you get. Its however a basic hotel that lacks amenities such as pools, gym is very small, with no entertainment/spa. This shouldn't be an issue if you are on a short stay. we havent got a chance to go up to the rooftop bar anyway.

harolds hotel is located conveniently in cebu. around 5 minutes by taxi to ayala mall. the hotel is nice, the rooms are spacious and clean, the beds were comfy and the pillows were soft. the comfort rooms were clean also. front desk were courteous and friendly, and the staff were friendly and assisted us during our stay. breakfast was delicious! there was a lot of choices in food and they were good. im happy with my stay here, definitely worth the money.

Best Hotel for the Value”

My first trip to Cebu and I booked this hotel based on reviews I read and I was not disappointed. This hotel was excellent, they seem to know how to run a hotel, great bed, nicely lit and appointed, stocked fridge, nice TV, good aircon, toiletries, tea kettle, nice bathroom. Most of the places in Cebu city have none of those things at the same price. If you are not staying at one of the few luxury hotels then this is your best bet in Cebu, most of the hotels are crap. Staff was also excellent.

Fantastic service!”

The staff here really make sure you are provided with a great service. The food is excellent as well. Having worked in the food industry as a manger for a number of years in the U.S. I was blown away by the level of professionalism of this establishment. The facility is smaller then Waterfront hotel however the prices and quality of service reflect higher then what waterfront hotel in Cebu provided. A gentlemen by the name of Aaron is usually around the lobby or dining area at the lobby level and he will do whatever he can to provide a positive experience. Whoever his boss is I hope he receives recognition for his stellar attitude and commitment to his job. I will continue to visit this establishment and will recommend this hotel to future guests as my top pick for overnight accommodations in Cebu City.
