"My friend and I stayed at the Benarat Lodge during our trip in Mulu. Overall, it was a decent lodging (think of Hostel style). Our guide, Duncan fetched us from the airport to the lodge which was situated quite deep within Mulu and around a 10 mins to 15 mins drive from the Mulu National Park. As the lodge was eco-friendly, the generators only run from 6:00pm to 12 midnight daily. The rest of the time the amenities such as Water Heater, Shower, Lights and Fan were solar-powered. The staff at the lodge were undeniably friendly and very accommodating despite not having any WIFI, unless you purchase the local SIM card. Our booking included meals from a nearby family-run restaurant next to the lodge. My friend and I wanted to purchase a bottle of water at the restaurant but it was closed for the evening and we decided to get the water the next day. However, the lodge's manager personally handed us the water at our rooms just a few minutes after we left the restaurant."

"I've stay at Next Room for participate my Miri Marathon 2019 at 17th March. The place very cool. The staff name Lily was very kind. She prepared my breakfast ( simple breakfast.. bread with tea.. I'll like it very much.. Reminded me of my mother at JB ). Lily treat all the guess as she's family. The bathroom is clean and their got hot shower. It's enough for all. You can use their microwave to reheat the food. You can reach two convenience store at downstairs ( 7 Eleven & forgot the name.. ) Also have a Bank & ATM.. Just cross the road infront of Next Room you can have ' Nasi Lelapan Ayam' at Muara Restaurant branch.. From here you can access to Bintang Megamall by walking. It takes 10minute. Next trip to Miri I'll chose Next Room as my second home. "

"Larry who runs Miri Trail Guesthouse is really friendly and knows a lot about travelling to Mulu national park. The room was very clean and comfortable and perfect for us since we wanted to get a flight the next day. If anyone is going to Mulu national park I would recommend staying here first."

"This was diametrically opposite from my prior night in Miri - after the noise of my hotel in Miri, this was peaceful and charming. The only noise here was from the multitude of small jungle creatures (frogs, fish jumping in the dam, crickets and other unknown (to me) insects that call the jungle their home. There is a beach within walking distance that can make you feel as if you are alone on the planet - I had no company other than the hundreds of tiny crabs and a lone, washed-up jelly fish. I was told by the owner that several years ago, a whale shark had washed up on this beach! There is a choice of staying in one of the rooms at the longhouse, which is set in the middle of a man-made like with water lilies and the occasional splashing fish to disturb the otherwise tranquility of the lake.There are also a couple of rooms at the upper level within the main house complex that might be better for people who do not wish to take the steps down to the longhouse. Birds abound and the 2 dogs on the property are very friendly. A lovely place to stay but not much to do other than enjoy the rural area."

"nice place to stay, just wish the staff can check their wifi on or not~ and the noise on the date i stay in not so good because they are worker still working around that area with hammer and drill sound...(2nd day morning) but so far i think is just the time and date not right, now should be ok, will consider again to stay in"
