Guesthouses in Bao Loc (Dalat)

"Many people seem to love this place, I read the reviews and decided to give it a try, well I don't like it, the facilities are poor, the breakfast is too simple and served late (from 7:30), the owner's fierce dogs ran and barked crazily at us which made my daughter so afraid... This homestay's price is high compared with what it can offer, I will never come back."

"We had spent most of our time in Vietnam in nice hotels, but wanted to experience the home life of local Vietnamese people. This did not disappoint. 5 of us shared a very roomy loft room with three double bed mattresses, each with mosquito nets and privacy curtain. They could also accommodate our driver and guide at late notice. The usual hosts (an older couple) were away, so their daughter Xuxi Nhung looked after us. She didn't have time to prepare any meals for us, so fortunately our amazing guide worked her magic and used their kitchen facilities to prepare a lovely meal, which we shared with Nhung and our driver. We then proceeded to watch Vietnamese X factor equivalent TV show and music videos, with the morning spent strolling through coffee and tea fields. So we definitely got our local content experience! As everyone mentions, this is a difficult house to find, with a few signs pointing to "Bao Loc Homestay" but otherwise, you're on your own. Well worth the effort!"
