Best hotels & accommodations in Wanaka

They have most of room can stay up to 4 or 5 people. The bath room and toile are shared for the whole floor of 10 rooms. You need to use before crowd time. The best thing is the location, workable distance to Roy bay of lake Wanaka. Price is higher than other city.

This is a wonderful boutique accommodation with fantastic location and privacy and friendly hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, could come and go as we wished and our hosts were very helpful and accommodating. I think the great selling point with the lodge is the luxury detail, the cleanliness, privacy and value for money. It is only 5 minutes' drive from Wan...

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We found Chris and Lin to be great hosts. The breakfast was amazing. Not sure what time Lin rose, but there was freshly baked bread and muffins from the oven when we arrived at the breakfast table, along with delicious seasonal fruit from Cromwell. The friendliness - the invite to watch the Australian Open, and the return visit to retriev...

This was my favourite place. We had done a lot of hotels and this was such a refreshing change. The hosts Trish John and Gem are delightful. They go over and above! The location is just lovely and it was so peaceful. John helped plan out our wineries the next day which really helped. I'd recommend at least two nights here to relax and enjo wanaka

The room was very comfortable. Nice fireplace with lots of reading material. Very friendly and hospitable hostesses. House was close to town so you could walk everywhere. Hostesses knew many of the activity organizers so to keep you informed of last minute weather changers or deals .

When I reached the lodge, I was rather apprehensive and asked myself why did I book this place???? It was really out of the way for someone who don't drive and can't really cycle! 😒 The hosts, Lynda and Mike were very nice though they were also rather shocked that I was alone with no car (they must have the same thoughts as me). However all these negative thoughts w...

The place is beautiful and it exudes a relax ambiance that put you at ease immediately. I would rate the room (bed, toilets, toiletries, etc) equivalent to a 5 star hotel. The room is facing a beautiful garden (with a great view of the mountains), fireplace and a bench. There is also an outdoor jacuzzi where you can chill out in the middle of nature. The estate is ...

we had 2 wonderful nights in webster during our stay in Wanaka. The house is wonderful, the room is so clean and has a really good view! The location is now far from the lake, Liz borrowed us 2 bicycles, we rided about 10 minutes to the lake. the view along the way is beautiful! Liz is a very nice lady, who can cook a very nice breakfast you~~gave you many good advice...

Our stay at Berry Farm couldn't have been better, quite honestly. The location is perfect - the property itself feels like it's in the middle of nowhere and the scenery is gorgeous but it's a short drive to town. The farm itself is beautiful! The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were extremely friendly, welcoming and personable. This was our favorite of everyw...

The owners are kind and helpful. This place is on top of a hill overlooking the beautiful Wanaka town. We were able to watch some moving satellites on a starry night. Absolutely love it . The facilities are absolutely luxurious. We will definitely be back !

Traveler impressions of Wanaka
Needs a nice slow cruise to go up and down the lake, so can get a wonderful look around this beautiful part of NZ.
I'VE STAYED IN WANAKA FOR A HOLIDAY FOR THE LAST FIVE YEARS, & IT HAS NEVER LET US DOWN. THE SCENERY, THE SKIING, THE FOOD, THE PUBS, ARE ALWAYS FANTASTIC, & THE PEOPLE IN THE TOWN ARE ALWAYS FRIENDLY & WILLING TO HELP.
We were on honeymoon and we loved Wanaka. We did a skydive there and the staff we lovely and friendly.
As attractive as Queenstown but a lot quieter and quainter. The peaceful serenity of the town is its attraction.
Wanaka seemed to me to be a very clean town. It was good to see that the lake front was still visible from everywhere - not built out by some high rise apartment.
Lovely little town w/ nice shopping and dining options. We mainly just relaxed here at the end of a long vacation, but it seemed like a great spot for water activities in summer and skiing in the winter.
Wanaka is a lovely quiet peaceful environment, with wonderful views and scenery. There is a lot of variation from sightseeing around the vineyards, boating, skiing, etc, to just relaxing and 'soaking' up the tranquility & vistas.
It is a smaller and MUCH quieter version of Queenstown. But Wanaka has the better ski slopes....Cordova was awesome.
Beautiful place, even if you aren't snowboarding the drive up to trebly done is awesome. Mt Aspiring national park is beautiful and cardrona is a fun and friendly mountain to ski or board.
The lake is beautiful, there is a curry shop at the town center called sagoon curry and its slogan is "best curry in a hurry".
Wanaka is a gorgeous little town, fabulous laid back atmosphere. Loved the hiking and mountain biking in the area so much, this was our second time to visit the place.
Fabulous hiking cycling, skiing, boating, all in natures beauty. A stunning area with wineries galore within 30 minutes by car.
Plenty of pubs and nightclubs for young people. Aquatic activities for summer, skiing for winter. Always impressive scenery.
