This is a wonderful boutique accommodation with fantastic location and privacy and friendly hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, could come and go as we wished and our hosts were very helpful and accommodating. I think the great selling point with the lodge is the luxury detail, the cleanliness, privacy and value for money. It is only 5 minutes' drive from Wanaka which is extremely convenient.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We found Chris and Lin to be great hosts. The breakfast was amazing. Not sure what time Lin rose, but there was freshly baked bread and muffins from the oven when we arrived at the breakfast table, along with delicious seasonal fruit from Cromwell. The friendliness - the invite to watch the Australian Open, and the return visit to retrieve a lost earring, with complementary afternoon tea before we set off on our way, all added to our pleasant experience.

When I reached the lodge, I was rather apprehensive and asked myself why did I book this place???? It was really out of the way for someone who don't drive and can't really cycle! 😒 The hosts, Lynda and Mike were very nice though they were also rather shocked that I was alone with no car (they must have the same thoughts as me). However all these negative thoughts were soon gone! During check-in, Lynda had asked about my plans in Wanaka. When I had told her that I want to go for the Roy's Peak Track, they told me that it was not possible to do that without a car as it would be too costly to go by taxi. Thus they proposed for me to go up Mt Iron which was just behind the lodge which I had reluctantly accepted as I had wanted to go to Roy's Peak (poor planning on my part). She had also commented that I can use one of the mountain bike to explore the area. As I do not drive, Lynda had offered to send me to town for dinner as they were going out as well but I was too tired and not very hungry and thus declined their offer. Lynda then offered to cook for me a bowl of instant noodle so that I don't go hungry - I had thought it would just be a simple bowl of noodle but no way, it came with cheese platter. I was soooo touched! During my 2N stay, I had enjoyed the lodge every much. The room is huge and the bed is sooo comfy that I overslept on the first night. The surrounding is so quiet and peaceful. Breakfast prepared by Mike was sumptuous and he was always helpful. As I had booked the 8am bus ride on my last day, Mike had offered to prepare my breakfast at 7am and also sent me to the town for me to catch my bus back to Queenstown. I felt so bad for making him wake up so early. I would not hesitate to stay at the lodge again when I return to Wanaka though Lynda and Mike may have sold the property to someone else.

The place is beautiful and it exudes a relax ambiance that put you at ease immediately. I would rate the room (bed, toilets, toiletries, etc) equivalent to a 5 star hotel. The room is facing a beautiful garden (with a great view of the mountains), fireplace and a bench. There is also an outdoor jacuzzi where you can chill out in the middle of nature. The estate is also near a farm where my son can feed the sheep (the host has kindly come over to invite us to bring my son to go feed the sheep). Though the place is not facing Lake Wanaka, I will highly recommend for anyone with families to stay here. My 3 year old son loves running around outdoor in the garden and i think he's happiest during our entire trip in New Zealand. If i were to plan my trip again, I will stay more days here.

we had 2 wonderful nights in webster during our stay in Wanaka. The house is wonderful, the room is so clean and has a really good view! The location is now far from the lake, Liz borrowed us 2 bicycles, we rided about 10 minutes to the lake. the view along the way is beautiful! Liz is a very nice lady, who can cook a very nice breakfast you~~gave you many good advices on yourtravel plan, and even help you to book~!~

Our stay at Berry Farm couldn't have been better, quite honestly. The location is perfect - the property itself feels like it's in the middle of nowhere and the scenery is gorgeous but it's a short drive to town. The farm itself is beautiful! The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were extremely friendly, welcoming and personable. This was our favorite of everywhere we stayed in New Zealand.
