uniqely fifth floor”

I was booking at green windows dormitel a few months before staying there, the hotel is an FTC tower building and the green windows is located at the fifth floor. One block of the ground floor building is the entrance to the hotel, and it has an elevator and a stairway spiral with green glass walls to walk through in case you need some variation in mode of transport to the hotel floors. On arrival we were told that the room is a no smoking room and the cafeteria is at at the fifth floor where we can have our free breakfast. The staff is friendly and courteous enough to receive us, and lead us to our room at the 6th floor. The hallway is large enough and is carpeted. The room is just enough, the noise outside can not be heard inside the room, it has a cable tv a very cold aircon which we have to adjust the temperature from time to time. The hotel is a new hotel just a year old since operation. The walls of the hotel is made of green out p but without windows. The tree and the grasses that surrounds the hotel as seen online is non existing as it is surrounded by residences with old buildings. Overall, the hotel is a good place to stay as it is within the city center and close to other establishments, the people's park is just a walking distance where we roamed on Christmas night. Security is very important as well as there is a guard in every hotel floor, we have not lost any belonging.

Excellent Hotel/Dormitel for a tight budget”

I and my wife took our two girls (ages 17 and 20) plus 4 nieces (ages 11 to 19) and a grandson (5 year old) to Davao City for sightseeing and a little shopping last December 2013. Green Windows just suit as well for our accommodation needs as the girls wanted to be in one room to have their own bonding time (girl chat, actually) before sleeping. The hotel had a dorm good for 6 persons (with toilet and bath) which the girls just loved. We took a nice, clean deluxe king room for ourselves. All these we were able to afford even on a bit tight budget. The only sort of a hitch in our stay there is the parking area which has now become very limited at the basement. Hope they could address this soon as some guests' cars (Including ours) were just parked beside the street fronting the hotel. Overall though, we had a pleasant stay in the hotel/dormitel.

Amazing Dormitel in Davao”

I was expecting less from this hotel because it's a dormitel but it exceeded my expectation. This is close to establishments and attractions in Davao City. The room price was cheap for 4 persons. The room was clean and deodorized. The bed was so comfortable and the size was enough. The lighting in the room was good too. Aircondition worked well except that there was a bit of a noise. The comfort room was spacious too and has hot water. I was able to park a car in the building. What I love most about this is how they include and train people with special needs. A person with a down syndrome greeted us and offered us fortune cookies and chocolate. Thank you for the accommodation. I will definitely go back and will recommend this hotel to my friends.

Best for backpackers but not for family with active young kids.”

The first thing why I booked in Green Windows Dormitel is because of its location. We usually passed by the hotel every time we go to the airport or going to my husband's favorite Mall - The Abreeza. so to save time we picked Green Windows. We stayed in the King Bed with extra mattress. The bathroom is slippery when wet so its not advisable when you have active kids considering their safety. I highly recommend this for backpackers or adults but not for family with young kids.

Nice and enjoyable stay! Value for money”

My family enjoyed the 4-nights stay here... clean room and they manage to clean our room once we were out and changed the towels.. with restaurant inside the bldg. so you can have breakfast before heading out for your itineraries of the day. has an elevator... staff are friendly and accommodating.. close to food chains.. close to Hospital - Davao Doctors just a few meters away.. My family stayed here to greet and meet my brother-in-law and at the same time my mother's checkup at Davao Doctors.. It's very convenient for us! Thank you very much Green Windows.. would love to recommend this place to my friends..

Davao solo trip”

Very good value for money especially for the size, room has no windows though. Location is very good for tourism, close to People's Park and Pasalubong Center (you can leisurely walk to and from these spots). It is also close to the terminal station going to Philippine Eagle Center and Malagos Resort. Area is 1.2km from Lachi's restaurant, so you can easily walk for lunch. The Room is very good for tourism purposes within Davao City, however if you're looking for a business trip you might want to look at Apo View and Marco Polo for more ameneties. If you're looking to add a Samal day tour, the port is rather far from the hotel so you either have to do an overnight stay in Samal or wake up very early. The hotel also offers to keep your valuables safe even after checkout so you can tour the city, if you have an evening flight, without having to carry around your belongings (Very useful if you're planning to maximize your stay in Davao)

If you’re a double or trio traveller and you chose a kind-ah hectic itinerary, then this is the best lodging to get. It’s reasonable price outweighs the number of hours you’ll be staying in a hotel. It’s clean, has fast service and friendly staff. It has a strategic location, very near a convenient store, bakery, and restaurants. Surely, this dormitel wil cater to wanderlusts who have allotted a budget for their travel but are smart and practical enough not to spend too much on accommodation but rather on those destinations that they have aimed to visit in the first place.

My stay in Green Windows Dormitel 188 was a good experience. The staffs are doing their Job very well; the location was also good because it is just a walking distance from the mall. The service was nice too because the extended our checkout time.

Cheap, Nice Staff and Location”

We were assigned to our first dorm room in the fifth floor and here is my review: PROS: Room is very spacious. CONS: There are a lot of small cockroaches when we enter the room, i am not sure when was the last time room has been used. The ceilings and wall have some dust also. Please note that the room is located in the middle of the floor and even though there is a window at the side of the room, we cannot open it since we can be seen inside by the people walking on the corridors. I told the staff at the reception about the cockroaches and they told me that they will upgrade my room. We were then led to the fourth floor of the building and was given another room. The second dorm room is better than the first one though smaller and also we only saw one small cockroach during our stay. The room also has no window so we sometimes open the door a little bit for the air to circulate. Overall, location of the hotel is very good and the staff are very nice. Limited choices of food.

Nice Budget Hotel in the Heart of the City”

We stayed here because it's cheap and very close to many museum. We were able to walk to People's Park, all the way to Museo Dabawenyo and D'Bone Collector's Museum. It is not far from Ecoland Bus Terminal as well. It's very easy to hail a cab if you want to go to SM or Crocodile Park. The hotel is in the 5th floor of FTC Building. When riding a cab, just say FTC as some drivers are not very familiar with Green Windows Hotel. The staff are not very welcoming though and can use a little more training. They will require you to leave a 500-peso deposit upon check-in, which you can claim upon check-out. I lost the deposit slip which they said was needed to claim the 500 peso deposit, but they were kind enough to return my money without any trouble. Our hotel room was windowless, so if you don't have an alarm, it's hard to know what time it is already. It is tidy though but they offer no slippers. :( All in all, it was nice. It served its purpose and we enjoyed our stay in Davao.

Great location, affordable rooms. ”

Centrally located in Davao City and located in a safe area. It's close to malls, shops, and some of the city's tourist attractions. Got a good deal off Agoda on this one.

Good Location”

we stayed here 3 nights good location is nearby in Bankerohan market where you can find the wholesaler fruits you can take is either by walking or taking a tricycle/tuktuk like in bangkok market. If you want to go for shopping of souvenier shop(ALDEVINGCO) just take a jeep with the signboard going to TORRIL and ask the driver to drop you in Roxas st in front of ATENEO de DAVAO,(Lugar lang po)visayan word meaning in Tagalog PARA lang po or Drop/stop me please in front or street in Ateneo de Davao. And going back to hotel take a jeep with signboard MINTAL. (landmark TAPA KING and KFC)

Impressive”

Our group was very satisfied with Green Windows. The location, cleanliness and facilities were very good but what was exceptional was their consideration that our free breakfast was converted to free supper the night before our early check out the next day.

The location is great. It was near the People's Park and the Roxas Night Market. Some of us in the group get hungry in the wee hours of the night and it was delightful to have stores nearby where we could buy some food (Minute Burger and 7Eleven. There's also a bakery and a karinderya just across the building.) If you need medical assistance, there are a lot of hospitals, clinics and pharmacies in the area. It was a good stay over all though there were some slight things. The rooms were not that soundproof so you can hear someone knocking on a different room in the corridor and our room's keycard wasn't working as it should be. It wouldn't automatically shut off the lights and whatnot when pulled out. We have to manually switch off the lights one by one whenever we need to leave. But just as I've said earlier it was a good stay. I definitely recommend it to someone looking for a nice place to stay in the city at an affordable price.

Value for Money”

Travelled with my parents and kids. It's their first time in Davao. They liked the hotel a lot. It's clean. Rooms are big. Large comfortable beds. Bathroom is clean. It's near People's Park, perfect for my kids. One thing to improve though is the breakfast. Would love to see more variety. But overall it's an awesome stay.

5 Star Service”

We stayed here for 3 nights and I would like to commend their staff for their willingness to help. They may not able to accommodate my request due to its availability (to have a room with windows and white lights - my husband is sensitive to yellow lights) but they changed all the bulbs in the room. In customer service, you should not just say no but you should offer something to remedy the situation. Everything is just perfect for its price. For improvement: I hope that you have an available electric kettle which can be provided upon customer’s request.

great hotel for solo travelers”

This hotel has clean rooms,good security and service. I availed one of their deluxe room that has windows (some rooms doesn't have) and it was nice. The bed is very comfortable and scenery from the windows specially in the morning is ok. Location is good. There are a lot of cab, and jeepneys passing by so transportation is not a problem. Also, there is a pharmacy at the ground floor and some other stores in the building and nearby location which is very convenient.Only concern though is that sometimes you can hear some noise from the other rooms but overall, its very minimal. Prices also are very reasonable for the quality of rooms that they offer. Stayed in the hotel for a night last December 12, 2012.

Green Windows Dormitel 188”

for a big city like davao, this is the best place to stay in. it is fairly walking distance to where you want to be. the dorm room though cant be booked or reserved. they have a cafeteria where food are fairly priced. they even have a lounge and watch tv. best of all - free wifi connection.
