room is ok but need some improvement”

i booked 2 rooms, i selected this hotel because: (1)location is relatively good, very near highway and penang bridge (2)net price is about RM120 per room, relatively ok (3)got free bfast and waterpark ticket my review of this hotel: (1)room is ok about 17m2, ok la for short stay, toilet is clean, got hairdryer, got 2 free water (2)the hotel has alot of mosquito in the walkway near my hotel room door (maybe the hotel has a water park and indirectly attract mosquito), the management needs to look into this issue. The mosquito will follow you into your room (3)my friend's room bed sheet is clean but mine got some dirty stain, maybe cannot wash away by the washing machine, hotel should screen and takeout those problem bed linen (4)air con is cold but the blower is very noisy, Daikin brand air con, management please ask your technician to lower the noise of your aircon (5)parking bay is very limited, so if you come back late then you have to park outside (6) staff is friendly, polite.

Room littel bit small but the we were very enjoy the quality time with the ver satisfy environment.. The breakfast is perfect for me as the price of the room is very cheap.. What else to expect when it is FOC.. The water park is veryx3 good as my chilren is very happy with it and askt to come again next time.. GRAND ORIET HOTEL, WAIT FOR US SOON.. HAHA.

Nice and friendly staff”

The location was great, as very near to Penang bridge and also route back to KL. When we first arrived, the staff there assigned a room which the hair dryer is not function even after technician fix it still not function. Then they assist us in changing another room. So happy that they can do such favor to us. Too bad our stay were short, so unable to try out their gym and sauna facilities. One bad thing is that the food served during breakfast, the bread was moldy. I have no idea how long the bread was put or serve over there :/ But overall is good.

I'd recommend this hotel to all my middle eastern friends to cool off in the water park for very reasonable prices, during their visit to Penang in July and August.

Exceptional”

clean and new hotel. swimming pool with additional charge but reasonable. very enjoy with the stay and leisure. room service for food also yummy. need an hour to prepare for yummy and heat food with reasonable price. Just the after service not so satify. no body clean the plate and alot of guest left the empty dirty plate outside the room overnight which look messy and will cause the ant and cockroach in my opinion.

Modern, Clean & Family Friendly”

Atmosphere - It seems quite suited for family or business travelers, staff are pretty friendly, and there's a water park down at the lobby. Location - Central however no walking distance to shops/restaurants. However if you have a car or just get a grab then it shouldnt be an issue. Facilities - great! has a gym which is something you don't see in most hotels at this rate. however, if you need to work on your PC in the room, the chairs are logs & it gets pretty uncomfortable! Car park space are decent but can be limited. Cleanliness & Design - overall I picked this hotel because it looks new and clean. Overall design is pretty modern, but compact. Do not expect to get a nice view from your window. however toilets n small but nicely designed. I would recommend for a stay, family/business. Not for travelers who are expecting walking distance to shops though!

Worth every penny!”

With the price we paid I think we got a pretty good deal. The room was small hut just enough for my me, my husband and my toddler. The interior of the bathroon is nice. Water park was okay for kids. The room I booked came with free entry for 2days for the water park. So it was worth it!

We love love love the swimming pool theme park! Their staff so friendly. Their security guard help us a lot! Sure will stay here again if we come to penang! We missed penang food already. Nyummm

Perfect if you want good sleep”

3 adults. Stayed in a room for 3. Room is rather small to fit a king size bed and a pull-out single bed, making it tight. However, the comfort of the bed makes up for it all. The room is also clean. The room has a compact interior design. It has all that we needed and we were pretty satisfied. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel has a waterpark but is not open at the moment. Would be a great place for families with kids. Distance from the island was not an issue for us as we had our own transport.

Comfortable stay”

The room i booked is particularly just nice for single traveler. It is very comfortable room with full amenities and good TV channels. I have an extra pull-out bed on top of king bed. Breakfast also quite good, not disappointing. I wish I can go for the water park next time. Probably for those driving to this hotel, the car parks seems limited in the hotel area.

The hotel is extremely clean and it is definitely value for money! The water theme park is well managed and clean too! The hotel provides everything under a standard hotel would have, including ironing board. Simply impressive! However, you can skip the hotel breakfast as it has an extremely limited varieties. The carparks are limited too, and guests would have to park their car by the roadside should they reached the hotel late after 8pm. Overall, I had a good experience living in this hotel. Would strongly recommend others to stay

Best Hotel for Short Vacation”

The room very small but its okay compared to the price. The breakfast also very nice. Not too variety but its enough to make you full until lunch. The best thing is there is water theme park(need to pay separately from room charges). We are enjoyed the water theme park and will go again later. The location also near to the PLUS Highway. But the parking facilities very limited during peak time.

I suggest the hotel should give priority to guest to use the water park as long as the guest stay there...dont burden guest to pay fr next day if guest still want to enter the water park....bcoz guest already pay more fr the room...the berakfast should be ready accordingly to the number of guest staying there...food must be more variety...food.must be added all the time,dont have to wait fr guest to come...thats all...tq

Value for Money”

It was a good experience with 5 stars hospitality at 3/4 stars price. The water park should be the main attraction of the hotel and kids can be quite noisy at times. Apart from that, it was good!

Nice hotel with good services...friendly staff and easy to approach...very nice and clean waterpark...suitable fir family with children to enjoy the vacation together...also for food, it was good and reasonable price...

Tempah bilik sekali dgn tiket waterpark. Ada bilik yg tiada sekali tiket so kena beli asing. Harga tiket tak mahal sgt sekali masuk rm15.00 utk 2 hari rm25.00 klau stay di hotel. Size bilik sgt ok sbb ada baca review ckp bilik kecik tp size bilik mmg sgt ok masih ada space di hadapan. Ada almari pakaian,safety box,iron board,tandas sgt cantik dan bersih. Waterpark sgt menarik mmg sesuai utk kanak2 n dewasa. Ada bhg kolam yg dlm 4f so kena pantau ank2 yg nak mandi bhg ni. Kawasan waterpark bersih dan air jenih tak keruh. Ada cafe berdekatan pool boleh mkn di cafe sambil pantau ank2 mandi. Sgt puas hati dan akan dtg semula dlm masa yg terdekat

Great stay but lot of mosquitoes”

I love my stay, the staff is very helpful as they helped us to fix broken shower parts as soon they received complaint from us. The breakfast is average, fulfilling. Only there are a lot of mosquitoes in the room, luckily I brought my repellent spray as I read the reviews previously

clean and quiet surrounding with a beautiful landscape pool open for those staying in. unfortunately the theme park hasn't completed yet but its beautiful for photo taking!
