Ginatilan Beach Resort is a nice place to stay but the agoda.com write-up needs revision”

* The description says the resort is in the municipality of Dalaguete, but that is on the other, eastern side of the island. It is actually located in the municipality of Ginatilan, on the west side of Cebu Island. * The location and the sign out front say “Sunset Beach” but there is no beach. It is a rocky shore over which the owners have built a high cement retaining wall. There is fortunately a cement walkway down to the water, but it’s difficult to swim at low tide (no problem at high tide). * I saw no sign saying “Ginatilan Beach Resort.” * Staff were friendly enough but knew nothing about our arrival (I had reserved a room on agoda.com). They referred all questions to the owner who lives in Talisay, Cebu. * Staff prepared a very nice Filipino breakfast for us in the morning (included in the price).

The hotel is lying about their location. The location is not in the Dalaguete area, it's much further. I booked for 8 days, tried to cancel and never got my money back. I never went there because of the recent kidnappings. It is not a safe location.

Sehr einfache Unterkunft ohne Service”

Es alles sehr bescheiden und einfach. Direkt an der Straße und neben einen Autohof gelegen.

Frühstück wurde inclusiv gebucht, wurde jedoch verweigert. Erst nach langen Diskussionen wurde ein Frühstück gereicht, dass wir uns teilten. Keinerlei Zimmerreinigung in 5 Tagen. Unterkunft auch sehr laut, weil direkt an der Landstraße gelegen. Duschen und Wasser nur kalt, für Duschen ist noch in Ordnung, aber für Haare waschen und Zähne putzen dann doch unangenehm.
