Great value for money”

We had a very pleasant stay at the Georgetown hotel and I will not be exaggerating if I say that our trip to Penang was even better, partly due to the great hotel. It was not only comfortable, but had a great overall ambiance. It is not for people looking for luxurious options, but nevertheless, every penny spent on this hotel was more than worth it! For a budget hotel, it really exceeded our expectations.

Affordable and comfortable stay”

Centrally located in Georgetown area which enable us to travel around the Penang Island. The room is cheap,clean and comfortable which is more than enough as a 2 stars hotel. Would recommend to friends if they plan to visit Penang island.

Affordable and Strategic Location”

The hotel is placed in the heart of Georgetown, so it's easy for you to reach out to some of the places to eat or visit. The room was acceptable, the only problem is the room didn't have any mirrors inside, so i had to get ready inside the toilet (i can only found the mirror inside the bathroom). eventhough the room size was quite small, but there are plenty of spaces for me to store my personal stuff without blocking my way around the room. they have their own parking spaces for the customers too, but it might be a trouble for the customers to get a parking space during peak seasons, as it is very limited. overall, i enjoyed my stay here even just for 2 days and 1 night.

New hotel in good condition”

this was our second stay at this hotel. our room was very clean again. there is a problem with some noise from traffic but that will happen anywhere is georgetown. the staff arranged transport for us and our room was always cleaned well. clean tile floors, too. an amazing value for money.

Good location and friendly staff”

I often stay in this hotel when regularly visit Penang. Decent price and good location ate the strong point of this hotel. My only complain is parking lot got full easily. Overall, I still continue to stay in this hotel as long as the price stays within my budget.

hotel for business trip”

i stay at georgetown hotel around 5 August - 17 August. The Hotel services is good because the room was clean, Free with Wifi Services, Room rates was cheaper than others hotel. Besides, The hotel location also covienience because that is lecated at center town. U may just need 5 minute to the location u want to go. the hotel also covieniences with car parking.

Room is nice.Had a good sleep”

The lift there is the smallest I have ever experienced with . Bed is comfortable. I don't quite understand the bad comments here.Did we stay in the same Georgetown Hotel as they did? To me ,I would recommend it to friends.Bed is comfortable and the bathroom is nice.But there is a gap at its bathroom door because the rubber had loosen out. All in all,still rate this hotel as very nice.

I booked this room for my daughter that had a school assigment to do in Penang. She checked in with her friends and had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Restaurants are plenty at nearby areas, very convenient. Near to public transport as well. Near to attraction places in Penang

Good place to stay”

The room is very comfortable as the design of the room was different from any other hotel that I have stayed. The location of this hotel is at the center of Georgetown and easy to travel anywhere.

i stayed 2 night at georgetown hotel~overall is ok quite clean,easy disturbed by the other travelers when they are shutting the door or walk by my room,parking limited (less than 10 parking bay)the speed of the wifi is acceptable although some time is very slow

Nice stay!”

The room is quite clean with a good bath room, and air conditioner works well. Wifi is good. I can tell hotel staff is working to keep an old building better day by day. I would like to recommend some solutions for improving the service >>You should get rid of the "hospital smell" (by using fragrant oil or spray) at the passage leading to rooms, especially on the second floor where i stayed. The smell along the passage is too strong, i felt like i am at the hospital but luckily the room does not has that smell. >> Tv should have more channels in English for foreign travelers >>Put some indoor little plant pots in the room that definitely makes an old hotel lively. I noticed that there is a lovely plant in the public toilet on the ground floor. This idea is pretty cool. Keep doing that in rooms for guests that will definitely improve our stay with your hotel. >>Lobby should have a sofa for guests to sit Cheers!

A friendly and good city hotel”

I was stay many times in the Georgetown Hotel, it is a very good place in the city and I can very easy to get many good local foods just nearby and we can easy access to public transport. The staffs are very friendly. The price is very fairly and including free Wi-Fi.

Great Hotel, Great Location”

Staying there for 3 nights have given me the best experience while I'm in Penang. The location is very strategic and it's easy for me to go to explore Penang and the best part is that it's quite easy for me to see my beloved girlfriend which staying near the place.

Decent budget hotel just outside city cetre”

The Georgetown hotel is located in the business district just a few minutes walk from the New World Park shopping complex. If you want absolute city centre with everything on your doorstep, then this might not be for you. However if you want somewhere new and clean without breaking the bank, and don't mind a walk, then it could be for you. Little india is about a 20 min walk away, and as such pretty much everything else in G'town is less than 20 mins. I liked it and would stay again.

Good location, great value”

Stayed for 3 nights and found the Georgetown to be a good clean hotel, in a pretty central location. I rode a motorbike to Penang and they offered off street parking which was a bonus. The rooms were a good size and clean and for the price I would say fantastic value. Over all I would recommend this to anyone on a budget who want a good clean room.

Good and Reasonable”

A good hotel to stay at a reasonable price. Hotel staffs were good. The hotel is located a walkable distance of 10mins from Komtar, the chief Bus Stand for Penang. If you do not have a conveyance of your own, you get direct buses for Batu Feringhi, just at the hotel door. Overall a nice and pleasant stay !

budget for traveler”

1st night was having problem with internet access, but resolved it by hotel staff. Noisy during night time, we can hear next door disco music until 2am. Then followed by motorbike roaming sound. Car park spaces were limited and traffic flow was very heavy as it located right after a turning. surrounded by shops and eating stores, consider a walking distant to anywhere , but have to be careful when crossing road in Penang. Penang people never like to give way.
