Lovely hotel and greatest Service with a smile!”

we had a very nice experience in your wonderful hotel! the best hotel i could think of in johannesburg! everybody treated us with smiles and service 24/7.the rooms are so nice that you dont even want to get out of there! relaxing athmosphere and quite surroundings outside the hotel with lots of parks and jogging areas for the joggers. i will recommend the genesis conferencing hotel and suites to everybody in the world that i know... if they ever wanna travel to johannesburg-southafrica..there is only one hotel i would recommend! that is the genesis conferencing and suites hotel in fairmounts. thank you everybody for your hospitality and greatest service!

Excellent Second Visit”

Excellent friendly and willing during our repeat 1 week visit from 1 year ago. The same high standard was maintained in all respects. The two-bedroom suite was spacious., comfortable and well appointed. North facing it had little noise disturbance and a pleasant view. The Bistro next to Reception srrvef a good buffet breakfast eith extras snf convenient good value lunch or dinner. Shopping at Pick and Pay or Woolworths and smaller coffee and bagel bars suited us perfectly. The lication is very good for most Northern suburbs of Johannesburg and much better value than more prestigious lovations such as Melrose Arcjnor Sandton, both about 15 minutes drive.

excellent solution for a family”

We decided to book a 2 bedroom suite instead of finding 2 rooms in a hotel. This was a cheaper solution and gave us a twin room and a double room with lounge and kitchen. Thsi turned out to be an excellent choice. The Genesis Suites is ideal - spacious, luxurious, comfortable serviced and secure apartment. Excellent quality facilities in the apartment which was fully serviced daily. Restaurants and supermarket are on the premises to make it really easy for self catering. Location close to the airport but very quiet. Dont go there for the swimming pool - it was almost useless being noty much larger than a king size bed.

Fantastic Option for Joburg”

The whole family loved the stay. The room was large, clean and exceptionally well decorated. The staff were very friendly and efficient in meeting all our needs. We will most definitely stay there again and highly recommend Genesis All-Suite Hotel.

I love this hotel and have been staying here for many years. From the friendly staff to the beautiful rooms and perfect location, I can not recommend Genesis all suite highly enough.

Great, Affordable & Spacious Lodgings ”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Genesis. We found it extremely spacious, allowing everyone space to be together or to have some alone time. Having the supermarket and car hire downstairs was so convenient. The Genesis Bistro was also great - fantastic breakfast choices and delicious steaks in the evenings - all at very good prices. The only downside we found was in the airport pick-up...it was late and the lady who picked us up was very impersonal...unlike other staff, who were super rriendly and helpful.

Great value with very nice rooms”

This property was a great place for us to stay in Johannesburg. The rooms were very nice and conducive for our group. We two three bedroom suites for a group of eight. Everyone was able to have their own bed. The apartment was well equipped and convenient. The only challenges were it is not centrally located to downtown, but the Uber ride was not expensive. The other was we arrived late at night and there was no clear signage stating how we could enter the building after hours. However, the night staff, once we checked in was helpful in getting our luggage to the room and getting us situated.

Awesome place to stay”

I loved that there is a woolies and pick n pay downstairs, considering the fact that my son had his wisdoms out, and I could just pop in there to get custard, jelly and yoghurt. I didn't have to drive anywhere. Staff were fantastic, the flat had all the basics that I needed. What stood out for me was that even when there was load shedding, we were unaware due to the generator. Thank you Genesis for an awesome stay. Will definitely be back!!

Excellent”

It's nice to have a full stock grocery store, post office, rental car facility, and optometrist office all in the same building. There is ample on site parking and there's also plenty of dedicated hotel guest parking on the basement level. The acoustics of the hallways are such that noise easily reflects; therefore, it can seem a tad loud in the mornings. The one bedroom unit I was in was well appointed and suitable for one or two people. The washroom, however, is tight. I stayed for six nights and for some reason ended up having to go to the front desk pretty much each day to get my room key reissued (only one time did a room key card last more than a day) -- it's not a deal breaker per se but is slightly inconvenient, particularly after having spent the entire day out AND when your valid room key is needed to enter the hotel guest parking, to enter the building from the guest parking, and to enter the floor where your room is located. Overall, a nice hotel in a convenient location.

I travel to Johannesburg constantly and Genesis is my home from home. I can not recommend it highly enough. Fantastic!!!!!

Very good”

I rented a 2 BR suite, which my colleague and I shared. It was pretty great to have a kitchen, a nice big table to work at, and a living room. Living room furniture was not the most comfortable, but we were mostly using the table, so not a big deal. There are several grocery stores in the building, plus a good coffee place, so that was all very convenient. The main drawback of the hotel is its location. It was a bit of a haul to get to most restaurants and to where we were working, so that got a bit tiresome. My main complaint with the experience overall, though, was not with the hotel but with Agoda. I made my reservations over a month in advance, but then a week before the trip they emailed me that the images of my credit card and ID that I had submitted were not clear enough and that were no longer holding my room. This was very stressful. I had a hard time getting images to them that they were satisfied with, and was relieved by the time I did that there was still a room available. My colleague was not so lucky and found herself without a room 1 week before the trip. I would definitely NOT recommend Agoda.

Enjoyable stay”

We had a great stay at Genesis. Very safe environmnet with security guards seen throughout the parking and surrounding environment. Rooms were clean and warm everyday. Check in and check out were fast and efficient. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Will definitely stay there whenever I am traveling with the family. Thanks

When we arrived there was an issue with our booked and fully paid for suite. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite and the accommodation was excellent. The beds are very comfortable and the suite is well appointed. Only complaint is the very noisy air conditioner in the bedroom. The staff made our stay very pleasant. Every staff member had a smile on their face, were very helpful and went out of their way to ensure our stay was a very good one! I can't say enough good things about the staff at Genesis! You were all amazing to talk to and very helpful! Thank you!!!!!

very clean accommodation with excellent service”

we enjoyed our stay at genesis but had difficulty locating the place. it appears that the address you provided is incorrect and this should be addressed as soon as possible. we were using a gps and the address you provided did not exist, in fact the area was entirely different. on a more cheerful note, the accommodation was clean and provided everything we needed. it is a little on the small side, but we were comfortable. the staff we encountered were all helpful and happy.

Total pleasure”

Really enjoyed my stay. So much so that we extended it by another night to explore JHB some more. I would highly recommend this to anyone above any other hotel in the city. Location is in the east so bear this in mind if you need to go to any locations in the west as the distance is quite far. Interesting too is that the hotel is located in a area with a lot of Jewish people. The 2 grocery shops in the the hotel centre stocked a lot of kosher food which suited us as vegetarians :)

I booked this hotel because it said it was in the Greater Melrose area, but it is most certainly not in the Melrose area, far from it. So I was not where I needed to be.

Great suites and services, but..”

The suites/apartment units are great, with lots of the usual amenities. However, it was a bit of a shock to arrive at the place and discover that you are actually coming into a shopping center with a hotel in it, something not made very clear on the site! Although that offers the convenience of access for grocery shopping, etc, it does take something away from the overall ambiance of a hotel. One should also bear in mind that it caters a lot for conferences, which means the main dining area gets very rowdy when there is a conference going on, as was the case on this occasion. So, one's dining options become somewhat limited to the bar/bistro part of the restaurant, not many other eating places within a reasonable distance, especially for night dining. The staff were terrific. A big shout-out to Lebo, who just helped us in so many ways with logistics, but the reception staff were also great, as was the bar personnel
