An okay stay, looks unique from the outside”
First thought, it looks old and unique in a way. The room is old, as expected from the look, but it’s clean and has that old luxury vibe. We only got the smoking room as we arrived, such unfortunate. And it’s on the 1st floor, by first I mean we have to go down through a narrow stairs, sort of like basement feel, though it’s actually not. The room facilities is okay, got no complain except it could use a but more light, it’s just felt too dark even when all lights switched on. The breakfast, though quite less options, tasted ok. The restaurant, we had dinner once, however tasted actually very good. Free newspaper hanged daily on your door. Nice stay overall.

There’s a lot of negative review. Before we check in, I have a lot of thoughts. But thank God my room was clean, water runs smoothly, ac is good. But the staff should try to put a smile, I can see their expression even tho they wear a mask, except the security. Oh, Interior is beautiful. I recommend if you stay for one or two days only.

Nice hotel with interesting decor & good location”
I had a very nice stay here, actually, I prolonged for one extra night to take a day off on my month-long trip. Rooms are big and clean, but a little bit dark in my opinion, staff is fast and super-friendly, room service is nice. Although people at reception misinformed me - I wanted to rent a motorbike and was told that there is no such thing in Malang. 15 minutes later I was already driving, found small rental 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Food was nice. Location is very nice too, although in the centre, hotel is located on quiet street off the main traffic. Very nice hotel overall.

I was happy to stay at Gajahmada Hotel, I usually order breakfast, lunch and dinner at room and they served very quickly. Staff of the hotel was very active to remind about breakfast time and clean room. I will stay there again when i visit malang in other day.

Relaxing Day”
Actually, i can't really enjoy the moment of this hotel. Because the traffic to Malang was very terrible. It made me very tired. I arrived this hotel, already at night. I was tired, went out for dinner, back to Hotel, took a shower, and than slept. This hotel has a great design, the room was standard, not too big and not too small. This hotel doesn't have a swimming pool, this is the minus point. Overall, this hotel is nice, and the staffs were also very welcoming.

I can enjoy my travel around two days and may be sometimes I will came again and stay at Gajahmada Hotel. It is a small hotel but lovely and smily service. Nice hotel to explore Malang”
Nice hotel with big rooms and good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms a bit dated but clean, part of the charm. We stayed on the ground floor and had some noise from machinery, like airco or waterpump: we moved to another room where we could hear it less but would be good for hotel to look into this.

The travel agent was seemed to compete to attract client and such a way not in fair business competition That made duplication in providing formation to the hotel. That make me non comfortable. For instance I reserved the hotel rate as published by the hotel. But the travel agent quoted the hotel rate excluded breakfast. Of course the rate become relatively less than that the hotel rate. Why the travel agent did this policy. Would you agree this small error make the one who except the offer fell within a trap. Please be modest make the comparation muast be apple to apple. Gracious Hotel”
This is truly a beautiful hotel - old and carefully kept up. There was a large range of traditional, European and Chinese foods available for breakfast and for other meals and it was well prepared and presented. The room was large with a good shower over the bath. The staff were very helpful. Probably the only thing we saw wrong was one dining table had a dirty tablecloth on it - very out of character for this hotel - but it was still there the next morning!
