"Great find and a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip of Paihia but still easily accessible by walking or car. Great views of the ocean; we had a poolside studio that was well appointed and had comfortable beds to sleep in. Also had a mini kitchenette area that was great to utilise. Poolside studio can get a little noisy when children are running about but manageable. A little on the expensive side especially during peak holiday times."

"Quiet location but a steep climb if you walk from the beach or shops. Very good apartment and the staff were very helpful. The apartment is a bit tired, dishwasher doesn't work, bath taps are loose, and some lights needed new bulbs. Parking is not easy but adequate. "

"We came into town after most receptions were closed & booked online. It was around 10pm when we got to the hotel & it was closed too. We called & woke up Nachi but he was still pleasant & so helpful. He checked us in & even booked tours for the next day for us. We only stayed 2 nights but would stay here longer if we had the time. Room was clean & large with many amenities, & even with the energetic bar downstairs it was quiet on the top floor. Good location close to beach & 5-10 minute walk to pier/activity office; & a little bit further walk to center of town. We booked last minute & price was reasonable. Sorry for waking up Nachi!"

"The pictures do not do justice to how gorgeous this place is... I mean, they’re nice pictures but this place is sickeningly awesome. Everything exceeded our expectations. The view from the Retreat House: priceless The facilities: amazing The resident cat: LOVE IT (I wish it came to our house more often, but we are thankful we got to say goodbye to her on our last day) The staff: wonderfully warm and pointed us exactly in the direction we didn’t even know we were looking for Plus we got free lemons which was amusing, and we loved it so much we brought it along as a momento till we finished our road trip around north land. Thank you, and we can’t wait to see you guys again hopefully! "
