"Lovely Hotel and service with a smile"”
we travelled from nha trang to ho chi minh city and had to overnight. we booked online and requested a hotel pickup on our arrival at 2200 hr. we were told what to do and what to look for. the hotel car was there and dropped us off at the first hotel. the checkin was efficient and courteous. we really enjoyed the room and just wish that we had stayed an extra night to enjoy the wonderful room and hotel. the room rate also provided a free buffet breakfast for my wife and i. this free amenity was wonderful and did much to start our long travel day off on the right foot. we requested a ride to the airport and this was also provided in a quick and efficient manner. there was no charge for this and this amenity was also greatly appreciated.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
We met up with our granddaughter Sarah Jane O'Hara and husband James who teach English in Ho Chi Minh City for a holiday which turned out to be a fairy tale lasting 17 wonderful days. The 7 hotels we stayed in were beyond reproached and the staff were wonderfully old world charm standards. Thanks to Agoda, unlike travel agents, hotel costs covered all 4 of us without breaking the bank. Food and drinks at these hotels averaged just over $A 100 per day for the 4 of us. Try doing that in Sydney or elsewhere! Eden Phu Quoc Resort was reminiscent of Mombasa, Kenya in the 60's and 70's. It is said that time flies when having fun. We were checking out on day two until the reception staff told us ... "you leave tomorrow", to the delight of all.

Good Hotel for Passing Through Saigon”
This hotel near the airport in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) knows its niche and does a good job at fulfilling those expectations. It's a transfer hotel. All I did when I made the reservation through Agoda was to type into the 'special requests' window that I would like airport pickup. I wondered at the time if it would result in anything. Happily upon my arrival I was met by a gentleman holding a sign with my name on it, and it was raining in Saigon that evening. Airport pick-up and drop-off are handled efficiently. Check-in was a breeze as I simply presented my Agoda voucher to show pre-payment. The room was comfortable and functional, even if the decor is a little dated. I felt safe and comfortable in the room, and it has nearly everything I needed. There was complimentary mineral water. I would suggest that the hotel find some complimentary fruit that looks a little more appetizing than what was in the fruit basket in my room. But no matter, that was a small thing. Although I arrived late in the evening, they still had the restaurant on the ground floor open. The menu was a little limited, but I found something to eat, and it was of good quality. The shower had plenty of hot water in the morning. The breakfast buffet offered good selections and was accompanied by friendly, efficient service.

This hotel worked out perfectly for me because I had a one-night layover in Ho Chi Minh City. It is very close to the airport. They picked me up after midnight. Check-in was very quick and friendly. I slept well, had a very nice breakfast and was driven back to the airport. The rooms are simple and small, but clean and comfortable.

good choice for travellers who will only stay one night in ho chi minh. 15 minutes drive from airport by the hotel's free transfer service. receiption gave us tips about what taxi is ok in ho chi minh which is helpful to foreign guests. room in old building is not as good as new building, though the price is same.

My stay at the First”
The First Hotel met and exceeded my expectations. The reception personnal were very kind and efficient. I asked about and received good advice and help in securing a taxi at fair price and was set up with a tour around the city on short notice. The wait staff was very pleasant and offered suggestions about the food. My room was very neat and exceptionally clean. I had some trouble dealing with the clerk in the gift shop and decided to buy else where (price was not the issue). I would stay here again and would be happy to recommend this hotel to others.

this was a wonderful introduction to Ho Chi Minh City. Nearby is a French looking park/round-about. The staff is courteous. And you kind of feel like royalty just walking into the place.

Good hotel accessible to airport”
We stayed at the hotel for one night due to lay over in Ho Chi Minh City; the hotel is conveniently located to the airport and the hotel offers transfers from/to the airport; a hotel rep was waiting for us at the airport even though our flight arrived later than scheduled. We stayed in a superior room and the room was rather small but we managed since we stayed only 1 night. The breakfast was good.

My Stay at First Hotel”
This is my first time in Ho Chi Minh City and I thought staying in a hotel near the airport would be most convenient. A bellhop met me at the airport -- airport transfer is free of charge and that made me feel safe arriving in a city I visited the first time. There was welcome drink and I was led to my room very quickly. The room was quite comfortable and I had a window view of the opposite street. Breakfast buffet included my favorite Pho Bo -- so I was quite satisfied with it. Although, there was not much variety on a day-to-day basis. There is nothing much to see in the neighboring environment. The Bingo Casino and the Spa of the hotel was under renovation -- hence, not in operation. Overall, my stay at First Hotel was satisfactory.

Comfortable stay in central location near airport”
First Hotel is centrally located. It takes around 10 minutes by taxi to the airport and maximum 20 - 30 minutes to major attractions. The hotel has a nice pool area to wind down after a long working day. The rooms are well equipped and offer everything you need, including a well-functioning Internet connection (Wi-Fi). The English speaking staff was friendly and helpful. A shopping mall with restaurants is within around 10 minutes walking distance. The hotel is particularly suitable for those who need to be close to the airport. It essentially offers four star comfort at the price of a middle-class hotel.

Great for overnight layover”
It is a nice hotel, clean and lovely people working there. There is a wide variety of choices in the breakfast buffet, and lots of tv channels. Although if I was wanting to stay in Ho Chi Minh to travel around and do tourist things...it is not very close to those things. It was great for our overnight stay as it is so close to the airport and there is lots to do...a gym pool and lots of restaurants in the hotel. Be mindful though there aren't any external restaurants/shops around the area. The prices of the hotel food are reasonable though.

We only stayed for one night while in layover at Ho Chi Minh. The hotel was comfortable and clean and the staff very friendly. They also offered a free transfer back to the airport which was fantastic.

we stayed at First hotel on stopover and arrived late in evening, hotel picked us up at airport and we were quickly transferred to hotel.Friendly, understanding staff checked us in without any difficulty which was greatly appreciated as wew were tired after travelling from Australia. Welcoming drink was cool and refreshing then we were wisked up to our room to chocolates and fruit. In the morning we were transferred back to airport in clean vehicle with friendly driver. Very nice experience and will stay here again.

Convenient for transit or quick stay in Ho Chi Minh”
Free transfer service from and to the airport is very helpful. Hotel is old and far from the center of the city, District 1 but it has everything at the hotel including Casino. I usually stay there during my visit in Ho Chi Minh City
