Budget Travelers beware!”
Awful business practices- similar to nearly everyone who stays here, the hotel was booked with an expectation at the price listed. However, upon arrival not only is an amenity fee charged, but an atrocious 12% “processing fee” for paying by credit card. Note: no other forms of payment are accepted. Terrible business practices overshadow an otherwise nice space.

Stylish and original ”
Loft styled stylish small hotel. Parking avalible. Rooms are spacious, bed - king size. You will find white towels, soap, shampoo, body lotion - that's all. No hair dryer. Note that you will be charged extra 47$ resort fee plus deposit

Shocking Customer Service”
Arrived at the hotel excited to explore Chicago. On arrival, the worker behind the desk was rude, and dismissed us. She continuously answered phones while speaking to us. On checking in she demanded that we paid a $40 resort fee per night, on top of a $50 deposit. We refused to pay as we booked through a 3rd party company and this was not cited on the website. We stood our ground and asked to speak to a manager, to which the receptionist said she was the manager (Maggie). We ended up having to pay the additional $300 (which as students we didn’t have to spare, and we had to then alter many of our chicago plans). Throughout our stay, customer service was the worst we had seen ever. They got extremely defensive over the smallest of things. We asked what the daily $40 resort fee covered and we could not get a straight answer. Walked away from the front desk in a rage every single time. Apart from that, the hotel was nice. No hotel bar or food or any of the sort, yet they still have the audacity to charge residents $40 for amenities. These amenities are basically just 4 drinks per room per day, which we often couldn’t get because the person at the desk would disappear. Spare your money, don’t bother staying here.

Terrible customer sersvice experience”
I am sorry to report that we had a terrible experience at the Chicago Hotel in River North. Though the facility itself is nice and we appreciated the creative design, we were very surprised to learn after prepaying through a booking site that there was an additional $50/day in resort fees and credit card fees that were not listed on the third party site. Furthermore, even if we had wanted to access these benefits, they were not available to us as we could never find a representative at the front desk when we needed one. This included upon check out. It was overall a very negative experience and we left highly disappointed.

The hotel itself was very neatly decorated, clean! Amenities were nil. Storage was tight in our room. No cups or anything if u wanted a drink. You had to go to the basement for cups and ice. Coffee/snack shop was completely non existent. Closed and empty with a layer of dust. This could be an awesome place but they need to make some tweaks. 🤔

hip hostel”
I was driving from nyc, heading to west coast, stopped in for a night and it was awesome. This hostel has a mature college feel to it with a cafe, clean rooms and the kitchen was big enough for multiple cooks and diners. Became friends with a room mate, connected with a local medical resident in the cafe and had some nice chats with the staff members. Will def check this out again, if or when back in Chi.

One of the best dorms ”
One of the best places i've stayed at. For the price, you get great customer service, made you feel welcome. Stayed in a room with 3 other people. Bed was big and clean. Toilet was clean as well. Did not use much of the facilities but the location was great. Walking distance to downtown chicago. Convenience store 5 mins walking distance. One downside would be that the train passes by right outside the hotel, and maybe right by your window depending which room you stay at. However, once you fall asleep, i'm pretty sure you wont be able to hear it.

お部屋は綺麗で快適に過ごせますし、Lの駅から遠くなく、ループまで2駅なので便利です。 1つ注意点として、アメニティが別料金で、支払っておいたとしても別料金を必ず取られます。一泊頭50USD前後取られました、アメリカではよくあることですが、お気をつけください。

虽然住的是四人间 但是床很大，床头有灯有充电装置 设计特别人性化 即使住上铺也很方便 不过柜子没锁 可以在前台买4美金 如果需要锁可以自己带一个 位置也不错 离brown line很近
