"The view was amazing, the room was amazing, the bathroom was amazing! Finding this place was a bit hard at first, you have to climb under a rock and it's quite a hike up to reception/the rooms on uneven steps. Be wary about that, but also know that once you get up there, the view and room would have been so worth it. Doors have locks and keys. The older lady there was not particularly friendly, but the younger woman and the gentleman were always smiling. Keep in mind that the location is pretty isolated, nothing is walking distance aside from the bungalows, beach, and restaurants. However, you can rent a scooter or car from Mai Pen Rai or take taxis/boats to other parts of the island, including a specific boat to the Full Moon Party and other parties on the island. With that being said, I would recommend staying here for a relaxing "read on the beach, eat, swing on the balcony hammock" type of trip. I was a solo traveller who booked this place for some downtime on the beach away from the noise, but I can see this being a perfect spot for honeymooners and lovers if you know what I mean. Splurge more for the modern bungalow with white tile floors!"
