Family hotels & resorts in Opua

"I booked two nights at the Opua Boutique Seaview Motel by chance - it was one of the last motels available in the Bay of Islands over New Year's. I am SO GLAD we stayed at this motel - our room was clean, comfortable and very stylish. The bed was very comfy - we could even sea the beautiful Opua ocean while we were lying in bed! There are lots of thoughtful touches to the room - the only thing that would have made it better would have been if we had a bath! The hotel is only a 5 minute drive to the hustle and bustle of Paihia - we loved being so close to everything, but our accomodation feeling quiet and private. If you have a car don't be put off by the location - close to paihia, and right by the car ferry to Russell! Leah who owns the hotel is absolutely lovely - she made sure we had everything we needed and gave us lots of privacy. If you need to know anything about the area she is very knowledgeable and up for a chat. I see she is selling the hotel so I hope whoever buys it cares as much as she does!"
