    Friendly hotel that loves music”

    Friendliness and tranquility

i had a comfort stay at faifoo while on a 10-day trip in ho chi minh city. room is clean and cozy resembling traditional house in hue. but what i like to most is friendliness of the staff and in particularly the owner tina who is fond of traditional vietnamese music very much. she occasionally performed with her friends, not just to comfort the guests but to conserve and express the value of the vietnamese traditional music.

Charming Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City”

    Nice room, attractive courtyard, quiet.

We stayed at the Faifoo Boutique for only one night, but found it quite charming. We picked it because it is closer to the airport than the more centrally located hotels closer to the city center. The area around the hotel is not very interesting from a visitor’s perspective, but taxis are cheap and plentiful. It can be a little hard to find as it is about 100 feet down a small alley, but there is a sign on a building at the entrance to the alley. The courtyard in the hotel is very pleasant, and they have a rooftop eating area that is also very nice. The staff are very helpful, and the staff at the front desk spoke adequate English. Breakfast is custom ordered from a small menu selection. Since there are not many restaurants really close by we decided to eat dinner at the hotel. Apparently not many people do this, as they did not have a lot of the items we selected from the menu. Once we finally found something that they had it was fine.

Decent hotel near airport with lots of character.”

near airport, nice architecture, local vibe

We stayed at Faifoo Boutique Hotel on a stop over for one night in Ho Chi Minh City. Situated in a quiet alley on the outskirts of District 3, it's only a 15 minute taxi ride to the airport which was why we chose this location. The hotel itself has a lot of character, inspired by classic Hoi An architecture with modern design elements. Our VIP Deluxe room could be better described as "standard": full size bed, basic bathroom, a/c, free wifi. The shared balcony overlooking the courtyard was nice. Our bathroom, however, only had a bathtub with a hand held showerhead that was a bit cumbersome to use. I did get a kick out of the complimentary packets of "skin whitening" body wash, lol. Breakfast is included, but limited (not many veg options) and service was slow. Hotel service in general was satisfactory, with the staff kind enough to call us a legit taxi to ensure we didn't get ripped off. Faifoo Boutique Hotel is a good option if you don't want to stay in a cookie-cutter hotel, in a more local part of town, and close to the airport.

    Nice Hotel”

Quite, easy to get around, staff tried hard, large rooms

the stay at faifoo boutique hotel was a nice one. stayed a total of 11 nights, and its location 15mins from district 1 and down a small lane-way meant it was nice and quite at night. something that is rare in hcmc. food was ok and the staff tried hard, even if they sometimes gave me a spoon to eat my omelette with! compared to the hotels in the main hotel districts the rooms had plenty of space. we did have to travel 15mins by taxi (aud)however to see any of hcmc attractions or do shopping, but otherwise a nice stay and good value.

    Clean, friendly staff, exellent price”

    Good location, breakfast, nice bathroom

I enjoyed 3 nights at the hotel with very reasonable price, location and breakfast included. It costs around 120,000 dong each way ( six dollars) to go to center district (district 1), but I think it's worth the price to stay here. Quiet place with fast internet is my priority. Bathroom is Superior considering this is a 3 start hotel - spacious bathroom, water and amenities. I recommend you stay here for a visit Ho Chi Minh. Great choice for me after I stay in district 1.

Location, Intimate for couples and Has a Homely Feel

Had the second and third visits to Faifoo Boutique Hotel on this trip and would highly recommend for its location away from the craziness and high prices of District One. Came with my Fiancée who also enjoyed and the staff were always willing to help. Expect to pay around 60000dong ($3) for a taxi to the main shopping and dinning areas.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Room where I stayed was clean and quiet. The room was furnished with wooden table and wardrobe with tea pot, coffee and tea packs, electric kettle.... The cafeteria is next door, which is very convenient. The price there is acceptable. I checked out a bit later at 1.30 pm but they didn't charge for the extra time!!! In short, Faifoo Boutique hotel is a best place that I would recommend to those who are interested!

Hidden gem in HCM, Hotel staff (including night security) were wonderful, real value for money

Stayed for 3 nights at Faifoo, arrived at around 9 pm and was checked-in without any hassle. The room was fantastic and I must say that this is one of the hotels that what you see online is what you get (wonderful!). Breakfast has limited choices but unless you are staying there for long, then maybe you will need to look for a new place for breakfast. Really nice boutique hotel, should be rated 4 stars. Will stay there again when visiting HCMC.

    Quiet, lovely, romantic, beautiful

This was a wonderful way to start our holiday in vietnam. the staff are lovely and let us change money at a good rate. The room was lovely with access to a balcony (not private). Wonderful bed and the bar next door wasn't too rowdy late at night. A lovely boutique hotel with a great shower and privacy. Not too far from town, but far enough away so you don't feel overwhelmed by the oppressiveness that comes with the first 24 hours in an asian city.

    Decent, but not much more”

    Friendly staff, quietness, fast check-in

I did not ask much from my hotel: a place to sleep, shower and refresh between days of backpacking, and in those Faifoo did not fail to deliver. Plenty of hot water, clean and well-stocked room and facilities, quiet and safe location, easy to reach both airport and city center (though not really close to either), working appliances (wifi not working during my stay but that may be a temporary thing). I didn't use the restaurant or cafe so no comment on that. Staff was nice and check in was super fast, they didn't even check my Agoda voucher, just ID; same with check-out. *However*, boutique they ain't. I picked the cheapest room type so didn't have any over-stretched expectations, and I knew the common trick of using lightning and angle to make your room/yard larger and look more classy than in reality. But the double superior given to me was straight on different than shown on the website. No LCD/plasma TV but a CRT, no room decoration, no work desk, no *window* - I feel like cheated by a Facebook beauty. I would never give this room the full 49$ price listed, and the Agoda price feels like no discount at all. Or maybe they give a different room to Agoda customers (this is speculating). I'm not saying the hotel is not up to task, but do more research beforehand to be sure you know what you're getting. Oh, and for such a nightlife city, the receptionists go home at around 10.30 and the gate is closed. The guard is still there to open for you, but good luck asking for any assistance.

Small cossy hotel close to air port!”

Very nice to have the breakfast in the small garden.

I stayed at the Faifoo Boutique for 5 nights, but found it quite charming. It is close to the airport but not father to the centrally party. The area nearest to the hotel is messy and untidy amd not very interesting, but only a few blocks away are streets full of cozy and good restaurants. It can be a little hard to find taxis but it can be ordered in the hotel. The courtyard in the hotel is very pleasant, and They have a rooftop eating area. That is very nice. The staff are very helpful. Breakfast is custom ordered from a small menu selection, ok but too small. The rooms are well furnish but toilet and shower facilities are cramped and in our room there was only a hand shower in the bathtub. Uncomfortable! Negative, the card payment didn't work!

Faifoo Boutique Hotel, A pretty cool boutique hotel hidden away, quite far from the city and tourists but a good location for the local markets and what life is like in the suburbs. The room was definately not what we expected from the Agoda photos, and we felt cheated, no window, no safe, looked like a backpackers room, we upgraded for a reasonably small amount, the room was much better, but then received the deluxe suite because the power in our room cut out for the whole day, the suite was nothing special

    Decent, but not satisfied”

the hot shower, great water pressure, some staff

Faifoo Boutique hotel is a quaint little hotel nestled in a quiet corner off the beaten path. The facade and feel of the hotel is charming and at first sight, we were excited to have found such a gem. However, we soon became annoyed with little things. Although we booked last minute, when we arrived they could not put us in the room we booked for. We booked the specific room for the balcony. We shrugged it off and went to our room. Soon we found out the lock on our door did not work. Although there was a safe in the room, we (understandably) wanted a lock on our door. They said they didn't have any other rooms, but assured us that there were cameras in the hallway and told us we could leave our belongings at the front desk went we left the hotel. The next morning, one of the staff members who seemed to be having a bad day seemed annoyed with us leaving our things at the front desk, so we explained the situation to him and he said they would fix the lock right away. The lock was fixed on the second day. Aside from the lock situation and some staff seeming to be nonchalant, the staff were very helpful when asking about local places to go. Without a bicycle the walk into other parts of town can be a little bothersome. However, we found that since we were off the beaten path, we could buy many souvenirs for half of the price sold near the more touristy areas. Although we were annoyed with some aspects of the hotel, we couldn't be bothered to book at a different hotel as it was the end of our stay. With that said, it is bearable, but I don't think I would book again. If you're not scared to go off the beaten path, you can get a taste for the local city life in Saigon if you eat in nearby restaurants and go to the nearby market. We were the only tourists at the market and at the restaurants we ate (which did not have English menus), in that respect I was happy to be booked off the beaten path.

    All good but food----.”

    Smile,location and cleanness

This is a very good boutique hotel and owned by Vietnamese American. The owner has a charming personality with kind heart. While I was staying in this hotel she made an event for children who came from near by ophenage and they were having a good time making moon cake. Overall my staying was very pleasant and I would go back to this hotel when I come to Saigon. One note I want to mention is that the breakfast was not impressive. They can improve it.

very quite, stuff is very helpful

due to a flight delay we where 24 hours late, so that we just stayed one night in faifoo hotel. when we arrived we where welcomed very friendly and the receptionist was very kind and helpful in every question we had. she would even let us store our bags for a night while we would be away for the mekong! the rooms are clean and look really nice, just the mothball smell did disturb me a little. the bathrooms are clean and ok but nothing special. the hotel itself is very nice with a great rooftop terrace and a small patio downstairs where you can enjoy the sun while having a drink. the hotel isnt very central but still close to the center!
