very nice and cozy rooms ”

i got this hotel basically because of budget reasons, but i wanted a one that would be clean and has good service. i really took my time in choosing and selecting the best one i thought would be worth my money. i read all the reviews and rationalized all the comments. when we arrived at the hotel, i wasn't disappointed one bit. great staff, quiet and tidy surroundings. the room was just the right size. it was just enough to relax in after a day out exploring the island and nearby Cebu city, watch TV, work on your laptop a bit, get dressed, etc. breakfast was not spectacular, but hey, you're just getting what you paid for! toast, egg, coffee, that's it. should you want to upgrade it, order a tapsilog (awesome!) or any other meal for about 30 pesos. not bad. i just want to remind vacationers to keep in mind their reasons for choosing a certain hotel and don't expect too much. with express inn, though, i was more than pleased. internet was alright, though i had little trouble connecting at first, this was easily rectified upon rebooting the modem. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Taking a taxi and going to Costabella Resort is SO worth it! About 20 minute ride going there from Express Inn. Take the day tour for less than pesos per head and you get a fabulous lunch with dessert, use of their pool and beach. Should you want to visit the Cebu malls, a 20-minute taxi ride from the hotel will take you to either SM Cebu or Ayala malls. Both malls are about a kilometer away from each other.

Pleasant, inexpensive, fun, friendly”

We actually enjoyed our stay at Express Inn - Mactan. The budget hotel was very close to the airport (~6km); we took a meter cab and the fare was 130PhP when fixed rate cabs were asking for 375PhP. The room was good for us: had cable TV, AC, free wifi and the bathroom was good-hot water and shower. Staff were very helpful and often helped us to go to places of interest. There's always some tricycle (a motorcycle rickshaw) stationed outside the hotel, cabs/tricycles pass by frequently too and the hotel staff will always call a cab if you want. Maribago beach is not very far from here; a cab ride was about 150 PhP. Travel to Cebu city was around 250 PhP (the driver might ask for a little more). Food in the hotel restaurant is very affordable and good. We loved the breakfast, especially the Filipino breakfast menu (Tocilog, Dansilog etc) was awesome. The hotel is in a quiet location and we could sleep very comfortably.

The Express Inn Mactan is a great hotel is you are staying just for an overnighter from the airport. For example, our plane arrived in Cebu at 9 pm, so we stayed at the Express Inn for the night, then left to a new place in the city in the morning. It was satisfied with our decision.

A simple place to stay but with a great service ”

A small hotel but people have a big "S" - service to give with the customer. It was a quite rainy when I have arrived Express Inn - Mactan. The security personnel immediately open the taxi where I'm riding. He took my things at the taxi compartment and brought at the reception area. The staff at the lobby were very accommodating, the guard/crew directed one guy to help me bring my things to the room assigned to me. This was a great experienced from your hotel. Thank you.

Airport Safety net”

Having several bad experiences of traffic in the often horrendously congested Cebu City, i opted to leave a day early and stay in the Express Inn, Mactan over night before my flight. The low cost budget, no frills hotel, is a good place to stay being so close to the airport. A light inclusive breakfast topped off the pleasant stay. It was the first time i had decided to travel and stay like this, and with the easy relatively traffic and stress free taxi to the airport its the only way i will stay and fly from now on.

actually this place are newly built ( january 2012) most of the taxi drivers are not familiar with the place,. so better get the complete address or ask the driver if they know the place before you decide to ride on a taxi. (cuz u might get lost). we got trouble finding this place many times cuz its far from the hi-way but actually its easy for the taxi driver to find this place if you tell them that its "near to quens land" (at lapu lapu city).the room that we got was tiny but its cute (if you are simple person you can surely appreciate this place). they have elevator so no hassle on coming in and out of your room if you are in the 5th floor (^_^) ... one of the good thing about this place is near to gaisano (island mactan mall) from express inn you can ride a motorcycle with 7.00 pr head going to gaisano. (take note most of the driver were taking advantage if you are foreigner) also this place is near to the public market with has 24hrs restaurant (jollibbee), also has mc donald,chicken inasal and convenience store (there are actually lots of restaurant at their market so you can choose wich one is you type) .if you are craving for fruits you can ride on a motorcycle going to mercado (the name of the market) which cost 7.00 only. this place is also 5-10 minutes away from the nice beaches .. alright (^_^) about express inn hotel? i like their room :) its soo simple but its surely clean. (they clean the room every day between 7:00-12:00 ). their staff is really nice and friendly. they serve your food in your room (if u don't like going down to their restaurant) with no service fee (which is cool). they cook well, and their room rate when we got there was around 800.00 including break fast ( 6:00am-10:00am).. i will surely gonna go back here again on my next vacation :) regards to all travelers hope this review give you some ideas :)

The people running this hotel are definitely customer oriented. We arrived at 10am, way before the proper check in time, expecting to wait in the lobby for 4 hours as we did in Islands Stay Hotel also in Cebu. The room assigned to us was still occupied, but they had a newly vacated room which just needed to be prepared for new guests. In less than 30 minutes, they were kind enough to let us in to the reallocated room. A second story here. On our last night, I informed the front desk that I was leaving at around 3am to go to the airport, just as a courtesy to fellow human beings. When I got out of the lift, i was greeted by a cheerful front desk person, and she even had a bag of sandwiches prepared for me. That is five star service. So thank you to the crew of Express Inn. As for the room, the hotel, the facilities ... they are as advertised on Agoda. The location is not ideal but with Uber and Grab, this becomes a non-issue.

Budget hotel with friendly staff”

We needed a short lay over in Cebu going to Camiguin from Manila because of the early flight and I didn't want to spend more than wha'ts necessary, a clean bead, shower and quick access to the airport, Express Inn seem to be the right choice. However, the hotel is not within the major roads in Mactan and is difficult to find. Thanks to google maps, I was able to instruct the taxi driver where we're headed. The driver knew about the hotel but still got confused in the narrow streets near the hotel. I thought this will a problem going back to the airport at 4:00 am, but the front desk staff assured me that they can arrange for a taxi pickup. In our very short stay at Express Inn, I wasn't able to complain about the annoying sound of water droplets coming from the airconditioning of the room which made sleeping difficult. Other than, our 4 hours of stay was generally pleasant. In addition, I hope that Express Inn can provide a special rate for a short stay, which I think is very practical to their growing number of lay over guests.

Our stay in Express Inn Mactan was delightful. However there was no bidet on the toilet. At first it was hard to find the hotel. It was tucked in behind Queensland hotel. We only stayed for 1 night but it was very comfortable. Saff are very helpful calling a taxi for an early flight departure.

Clean room, near the airport”

Location is very convenient in terms of distance to Mactan International airport. Just around 10 minutes from airport to express inn. The room was clean including the beddings. Fast internet connectivity. Its also near the beaches in Mactan , Lapu-Lapu City. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. Room rate is very affordable.

Its value for money but the place is not along the highway”

I booked this hotel for my daughter and grandson extended stay in Cebu. I thought the place is in Mactan because it say's Express Inn Mactan branch but in reality this place is in Lapu Lapu City not in Mactan where the airport is. My daughter said it is approximately 15mins away from the airport without traffic. It's near but not the nearest hotel in Mactan Airport. According to my daughter, you get what you paid for, since price is lower than our first hotel their room is not that big, comfort room size is ok, the room has 1 small folded table, does not have a cabinet for your clothes but they have a place where you can hang your clothes. The room my daughter and my grandson stayed has leak whenever they shower the excess water goes out of the comfort room making their floor near the bed wet. Hallways are small, blankets are not that thick like the comforter type, overall you get what you paid for I guess. This is good for young adults travelling to Cebu for tours but I don't recommend this for families with young children. Customer service was good according to my daughter, they thought they will pay early check in which is 500 php but the receptionist waved it because they arrived past 11am which according to them is considerable, which she appreciates.

Perfect Place or Overnight Lay-overs”

Express - Inn Mactan is a 5-10 minute ride away from the airport. It's a good place to stay for overnight lay-overs due to its location and not to mention, its affordable price. Actually, Express Inn exceeded our expectations as our room provided us with the "complete essentials" for a relatively short stay!

We had a nice & comfortable stay @ Express Inn -Mactan. It's near the airport, so we don't need to rush...Staff are approachable and friendly. Big hotel room for its prize and near the airport”

If you have an early morning flight the next day at Mactan Airport, this is the perfect hotel to spend your last night. For its price, the room was surprisingly big. It was clean, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was really, really nice. I really liked the shower. I think the bathroom was special considering the price of our hotel stay. Breakfast was okay. The sun shone through the windows of the restaurant, it was really relaxing. Downside of it was that the room's walls weren't painted. They were all gray. The floor was not carpeted. But it was alright, considering we got the rooms for less than 1k a night. The room was still very comfortable and clean. I have no complaints. The location, though near the airport (15 min cab drive), was hard to find. I was lucky because the cab driver knew where it was. There were no landmarks. Just one street sign that points where the hotel was. There were no stores or restaurants outside. We were hesitant to go out though the street was well-lit. You have to ask for the security guard or the reception for a cab because I think you absolutely need a cab to get around.

I enjoyed my stay at the Express Inn - Mactan. The staff is courteous and accommodating to our needs like suggestions on where to go for a swim, meal or shopping including directions, transportation and fare cost.

Close proximity to Mactan-Cebu Int'll Airport”

express inn in mactan cebu is a relatively new hotel. it's not along a main road so we had the driver talk to the hotel personnel for directions. it is close to the airport. room was well-appointed, clean and cozy. the ensuite bathroom was likewise clean and well-maintained. complimentary breakfast is served. i will stay in this hotel again. good value for money.

on a backstreet hotel, but nice”

I couldn't pass up trying this place as the rate was so low and ended up staying several days. First room was very small only enough extra room around bed to lay 1 large and 2 small suitcases. The bed was good size and very comfortable and nice flatscreen on wall at foot of bed, very convenient and with a fold out shelf beneath it that can be used as computer desk. Free wi-fi was good. Bathroom tight but clean and above average shower. The second room was a bit bigger but window only to an airshaft. AC and entire hotel was quiet. Staff very accomidating and they kept our large suitcase safe while we gone traveling.Breakfast and restraunt in general minimal and closes at 10pm. Line of small tables and chairs outside in front if u get tired of small room or want to smoke or socialize or watch the minimal street traffic go by. Close to airport in middle of mactan island

Nice and comfortable”

My stay in Express Inn Mactan was generally nice and comfortable. What I liked most during my stay in this hotel is the fast internet and the good service provided by their personnel. The food I had was ok and the price was very reasonable. I continue to stay in this hotel in any chance I can and I highly recommend this to others as well.

Great hotel to live in Cebu”

i enjoyed my stay in Express Inn. They also treated us with a smile. They even consider our breakfast treat to be served on a dinner time because we will be leaving the place early and can't eat the breakfast. Thank you for accommodating us in your hotel.
