16/10-19/10/2017 Short Trip”

Standard Queen room is just small but is enough for a couple. The transparent toilet was an adding point of the room. Most of the staffs are cheerful and helpful. Although the first room (w/o window) given to us was found air-corn faulty after an hour stayed. We called up to report and was given a new room very soon which has a window. The main problem of the hotel is poor sound proof and the soft pillow. I can't sleep well the first night due to the neighbor high volume talking and door sound in the middle of the night, i woke up and saw that was 3am. Two soft pillow is not enough to support my neck, if they have harder pillow is better (this is a small issue, so I didnt bring up this issue to the staff， will bring my own pillow in next visit). the compressor of aircorn outside the window also a bit noisy.. The location was great! there are food stalls along the street (morning), night time also have few restaurant (ban mee, seafood) which we didnt try, but saw quite many ppl eating ban mee. the night stall is just 5 min walks opp Lorong Selamat, but dont know that stalls were off on Wed. so we had our dinner at Koufu Western Food which is beside Lorong Selamat. the lady boss was very friendly and helpful, we enjoy the food there, is cheap and delicious!! The Thai Massage opp Eton Hotel was great! highly recommended !! is not expensive and they all from Thai with skill. I only had my foot massage due to the pain of my neck and shoulder (had the massage the day before at Perangin Mall), when I told the counter girl who can speak fluent Mandarin that I can only choose foot massage due to the pain. She asked her colleague to simply massage my neck and shoulder after my foot massage (without charges). how thoughtful is she.. I really felt relax and the pain has released. Lastly to compliment the male Chinese staff with spec of Eton Hotel. he is the one who help us change room, telling us how to get to Penang Hill via bus. When my husband having his beer at the

great stay at Eton Hotel”

we booked a triple room with separate rooms, and it looked exactly as the pictures. the beds were comfy and clean, bathroom was also clean. I was actually very pleased to get the room with window facing straight to the street, but bcos Penang was extremely hot during our visit (33 to 34°C), the room's temp was not great. fortunately, the hotel provided us with additional cooler. the staff was also nice to let us checked in earlier (around 12pm), and gave us a late check-out too, until 1.30pm. deposit was 100 RM, and 12 RM per night for tax, which you will pay when you checked in. location and its surroundings were good, not too noisy at night, and just a little walk to ride the CAT free bus (alight from Nasi Kandar Pelita). all in all, me and my parents were satisfied during our stay at Eton Hotel :)

Surprisingly good!”

This is my 1st stay at Eton Hotel. Usually, the room sizes of hotels in Penang Island are small, but I was surprised with the room size with the low room rate. Staffs are very friendly and nice. Great location, good shower & nice decoration. But there was bad smell from the toilet when I step in to the room, and very limited car park is another disappointment. Overall, it is a very good hotel. Definitely will be my first choice on next trip.

As the popular chinese saying goes, "Have you eaten"?, Eton Hotel is located close to the top places to eat in Penang. To start with, the famous Lorong Selamat Char Kuay Teow is just a few steps away, a well known hawker centre (sorry, can't remember its name) is just a walk down the road, the delicious mee goreng mamak (don't forget to try the pasembur too) at Bangkok Lane is only about 10 minutes drive away, so is the unique seafood popiah at Gerai Gerai Padang Brown and so on. Want to know more, just ask the friendly staff at Eton. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the great water pressure of the shower gets you refreshed at the start of the day or at the end of a long one - all for a reasonable room rate. Will definitely come back again! R&R

Would stay here again”

Perfect location. Eton hotel would continue to be one of my top choices whenever I come to penang. My 2nd time staying in here and did not regret. However, if you are ver sensitive to noise, you might want to request to stay at a higher floor as their soundproofing is not very good. But their staff made up with excellent service and attitude. Location is perfect. Famous Char Kwei Tiaw is just a few doors away and Komtar is like a 10 min walk. White curry is just at the street behind. Lots of other food to eat around, especially at night. Room n bathroom are very clean and neat. Place seems very new and everything is in good condition. Parking is very limited, about 7 in the basement and 3 in front of hotel, but there's plenty of street parking. For the price you pay, I think Eton gives an excellent all round and balanced deal.

Penang is lack of parking space, but Eton provided parking space for guest. Thumbs up! The famous char kuay teow is walking distance. Eton at the center of Penang, you can order Grab to other places. I definitely will come back to Eton.

New and Clean”

My deluxe king room is comfy and spacious. The toilet is nicely decorated and very clean; hope they can maintain this for the next few years. Room amenities are standard and this is sufficient enough for me. Upon checkin, the owner was scolding her staff due to some issues. It does not bother me much, but personally I think this should be done in a private room instead of in front of hotel guests. Overall, for its value and location, I am happy to stay here again during my next visit to Georgetown, Penang.

Nice and decent hotel”

- cozy room, with nice decoration. - aircond is cooling. - very clean room and bathroom. - size of the room just nice, not too big or too small. - bathroom amenities provided. - rainforest shower in a transparent bathroom. - very convenient hotel that surrounded by good food hawker stall. Overall everything was good, the only downfall is the parking space quite limited. This is my 2nd time stay, no disappointment at all. Even my parents were happy with it. Will definitely consider Eton Hotel again while im in Penang.

Enjoyable Stay”

As per the Review, the Shower is the perk of choosing this hotel. The location is strategic as we can reach the shopping malls around that area by walking. No hairdryer is provided in the room (however not an issue at all!) We also enjoyed the TV programmes subscribed by the hotel. Overall we had a peaceful stay with Eton Hotel Penang!

Pleasant stay”

Eton Hotel is very clean and comfy. The location is very good also, easy to get nice foods just steps away. Very helpful and friendly reception. Just one thing quiet disturb which is we can hear noises clearly inside room, especially when we try to get some nap, the cleaner singing and chit chat outside can clearly be heard.

This is my second visit to Eton hotel . Limited parking lots. Room is spacious and comfortable, clean, and nice. The lighting in the room is a bit dim though. Toilet and bathroom is clean as well. Location is excellent as there is food within walking distance

Great Stay in Penang”

Great hotel well priced! We had the twin room which was very comfortable despite having no windows, but at that price, we didn't complain. In fact, we came back to this hotel at the end of our stay. The hotel is slightly outside of the touristy part of Penang, but with your own transportation (we had scooters), it is a 10 minutes ride away. Staff were very polite.

the parking area is not enough for guest. so I suggest that Eton Hotel could make an improvement in this area by expanding the size of the parking space.

Definitely more than worth it”

The location of the hotel is great, it's new and clean, definitely worth the money. Staff is also very friendly, upgraded my room to king size room when the queen size room I book is fully book. Thanks to Dolores Tiew for all the service you provided. Will definitely book this hotel again when I'm back to Penang. Love it there!

Exceptional”

in next trip i will take this room if i travel to georgetown. I am super satisfy with their services as I went to other places after i check out, they allowed me to store my luggage at their counter. I don't have enough time to go to their bar, but for me their bar has a really great environment. Most of the places that you wanted to go are nearby to the hotel.

Receptionist (woman)please be friendly, more knowledge about penang, when we ask, just said don’t know, don’t know, not sure ! Oh ya one more thing, once answer the phone call please be nicely even you have a guest front of you, because we are your guest also, and PLEASE before put down the phone makesure the caller finish their question first, Because your guest totally not penang people ! When we check out, no word cone out thanks or please come again from your staff. Please management find better staff after this, your hotel very cleans and comfortable but your staff, very pathetic.
